@Custard7891 oh fab. Where are you going in Croatia? Been a few times and it’s beautiful. Currently in Corfu atm and it’s tres hot!! So you’re in for some lobster skin next week 😬

Yeah I'm going to have to be careful in the heat as all our destinations are in the 30s. We are going Athens, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu then back to Athens 😊

@GCS34 totally feel the same like we are never going to be at the stage where we can test! Hope the holiday is going well? Did you get affected by the flights at all?

Congrats to everyone who transferred today !

Also in catching up with everything @Doughnut89 just read your post on everything being ok !!! This is amazing news ! So pleased for you. I hope it is onwards and upwards for you.

Good luck @Ellenn I hope thursday is your day and everything is ok.
@TTCMama17 congrats on the good transfer fingers crossed 🤞🏻
This feels like a really good week for so many people.....

@Mez456 it's such a rollercoaster of emotions and never feels like we will get anywhere remotely positive ! I can only say that focusing on today and what you do have, we have no idea what tomorrow has in store. It really sucks but I find a little comfort in knowing that we aren't alone and that there are success stories out there.

@CRJ sorry you are feeling so anxious. I think re the testing thing personally it could make you more stressed but so many different views and why calms you down is what is best. I think the holiday business is booming off of IVF ladies booking holidays for some R n R !!

@GCS34 i don’t think it will even feel real up until test day. Just counting my blessings that we have back ups available should things not go to plan. How you finding the estrogen? Are you spontaneously crying at David Attenborough yet? 😅when is your first scan? Day 15?

and I totally agree with what you said to @Mez456 we don’t know what each day has set for us, and for every negative theirs an equally amazing positive - it’s just our brains cling to negatives more as it was easier to plan for.

@Warrier87 awww 🥹 careful with the gushing niceness - you’re messing with a group of extremely hormonal, jacked up women who you’ll make cry in a second with nice things like that 😂

@CRJ you’re not alone with the waves of positivity followed swiftly by negativity. Hopefully you have something to focus on after so you have something nice if not! I really hope we get some BFFs after this group test! Omg you should all test on the same day like some weird cult 😆

Mez456 · 29/08/2023 21:27

@CRJ youre right, I renember getting horrible cramps using progesterone vaginally in the past. Ugh, it's so annoying! I'm dreading the tww, are you waiting for otd to test?

Mez456 · 29/08/2023 21:31

@GCS34 you're very funny 🤣 Reading your comments is making me laugh. It sounds like next week there will be a lot of testing going on. Will be thinking of you all x

@Mez456 haha thanks (I think!😅) glad you didn’t notice me tagging myself in my own post instead of @Lowo21 😂🙈

Mez456 · 29/08/2023 21:41

@Doughnut89 just scrolling back.. I have ED too and my lining gets thick! What did you do to have success? Massive congratulations x

Lowo21 · 30/08/2023 06:43

@GCS34 oh my god is that why I am crying genuinely I am a nugget and thought I was just sad at some things that have happened over the last few days ! Oestrogen has been ok otherwise, apart from crying 😭 I have only had hot sweats at night! I'm on a low ish dose though 2mg 3x a day! the ovamex injections have been painful for some reason. Last day of them today though.
Scan is booked for 6th sept then all being well start on the pessaries ! Yeay ...!

When is day one for you? 4sept ?

However corny this is I try and live by .....
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift... that's why it's called the present"

It can be so unbelievably hard at times but we just don't know what the future holds and especially with IVF we find ourselves at times wishing away the days and I have found I am forgetting to enjoy the now. Every day we can always find something negative, but then there is something to learn from but if you look hard enough there is always a positive to be found.

Ok morning speech over ... don't get me wrong I still have my sh*t days too!

@Lowo21 ah haha yeah think estrogen is what makes us crying during your period. I say ‘us’ - I don’t have a clue what even is a period 😅🙈 tragic 😆that’s exciting ! Let me know what happens for you being my body is the same as yours. Hope you have a good lining by then!!

nah, I have my base line on the 5th, then from there drug delivery etc so probs more 15th ish time to start. We’ll see. I’m going to message them today as I’ve not even had any forms through.

oh no way that’s lush. 🤍 I’m a sucker for a cheesy line. And I totally agree. Wishing the days down to start the next step of the ivf game of life, but forget doing ‘us’ now. When we have children we’ll look back ok this and pang for it, so you are totally right.

so starting as you mean to go on - 3 things you’re happy about. Go go go go.

kirstysmbc · 30/08/2023 07:09

@Lowo21 Completely agree with that! I have an IVF journal and it has a space for three things you're grateful for every day. It does make you stop and think, and appreciate the little things. I thought it was a bit cheesy when I first started, but I find it gets me in a good mindset.

@GCS34 My three things today are my daughter (I know I'm incredibly lucky to have had IVF success), a few days off work and raspberry vegan magnums (love, love, love these!)

@kirstysmbc no way! Well then my three things question today is very apt. I’ll pretended I did that on purpose 😉

love your too 3! Are the vegan magnums any different tasting to regular?

Lowo21 · 30/08/2023 07:46

@GCS34 love a bit of positive manifestation!!! I'm grateful for the fact I earn enough to give this journey a go. I'm also thankful my employer gets it and gives me the flexibility I need ... I'm also thankful for whoever invented mumsnet think I would be rocking in a corner without you lovely ladies xx

Mez456 · 30/08/2023 07:50

@GCS34 thats so funny you tagged yourself 🤣🤣. Liking the gratitude thing. I'm incredibly lucky to have 2 kids naturally. And a fab job. Feel like a bit of a knob trying ivf at 40 with 2 kids. But I'm so desperate to hold another baby in my arms. Is anyone else old here? 🤣

kirstysmbc · 30/08/2023 07:51

@GCS34 I'm vegetarian and normal margins aren't suitable for vegetarians, so no idea! But the vegan ones are lovely so def can't complain

kirstysmbc · 30/08/2023 07:52

@Mez456 I'm 43, so you're a spring chicken compared to me! My first cycle was at 40 and I was successful, fingers crossed you will be too 😊

TT82 · 30/08/2023 07:56

@Mez456 hey, I am 41 and have 2 kids naturally, also going through my first ivf, always wanted to have at least 3 🥰
I wish they let me double transfer, would love to have twins ❤️ (cannot as both mine weee premature, cannot carry full term even one baby)

Ellenn · 30/08/2023 08:27

@GCS34 im also enjoying the fact you managed to tag yourself 🤣 good idea with the 3 things! I used to try do this daily but ended up always forgetting 🙈

im grateful I’ve got to this stage so far and I only have one day to wait until I see what is going on in there! Plus is a lovely day in Scotland here the sun is shining 🌞

this morning I have been a bit crampy though so worried I might bleed 😢 getting a bit scared to check my pants ….

TTCMama17 · 30/08/2023 10:14

Hey guys! Apologies for not jumping back on yesterday, I took the day of transfer to rest and just enjoy the little bubble I was in.

I'm trying to take it as easy as I can and not stress so much about whether it's worked or not.

How is everyone else feeling today?

KG1244 · 30/08/2023 10:37

@TTCMama17 good for you - long may it continue ❤️ I am so fed up of the 2WW. Trying to not wish the days away but so so done!!

OP posts:
TTCMama17 · 30/08/2023 10:40

@KG1244 - I mean I'm already tired of the 2ww and I'm only a day in! 😂I'll be crazy a few days in.

How are you feeling? Test day is Monday right? Have you peeked yet? x

KG1244 · 30/08/2023 10:51

@TTCMama17 haha. It honestly drives you mad! I think it’s also like I’m waiting for my body to tell me I’m pregnant - getting nothing! I few minor cramps but I think that’s the progesterone and last time, I definitely had more cramping and that was a BFN.

I’m going to hold out and test on Monday. Eeek! Do you think you will test early?

OP posts:
TTCMama17 · 30/08/2023 13:03

@KG1244 same here! I'm like why am I not feeling anything and it's only 1DP5DT! Give me all the cramps, nausea and sore boobs!!!!!

I will definitely test early, I'm going to see how long I can hold out for.

Do you have any feelings of whether it's a positive or not?

kirstysmbc · 30/08/2023 14:11

@TTCMama17 I tested from 6dp5dt on first transfer, then 4dp5dt on the next 2. I have no patience 😂

I am in the never ending cycle, yet more stims for me, with egg collection likely to be Monday. That will be 17 days of stims. There are a few follicles around 15mm now, but they want them over 17. The nurse is hopeful some of the smaller ones (around 8mm) might also have eggs in by Monday. Keeping everything crossed...

KG1244 · 30/08/2023 14:19

@TTCMama17 I’m really not sure tbh. I’m finding it quite challenging to be positive as it’s a lower grade embryo this time. I have had more cramping today but then I remember loads of cramping last time so I don’t trust my body 😂

OP posts:
Summerishere83 · 30/08/2023 14:20

Hi ladies 😊
I wanted to join in as I had a double embryo transfer on the 28th Aug and there's nothing else I can think of, driving myself crazy of course. And no symptoms whatsoever. I've also done tests yesterday and today just to check the trigger is out of my system and that if I see lines later on it might be a pregnancy 🤞🤞🤞stark white today, 2dp5dt (I'm planning to test every morning 😅)
Good luck to all in the different stages 🪷

TTCMama17 · 30/08/2023 14:28

@KG1244 - oh it’s so difficult isn’t it! I really hope it works out for you. Embryo grading is nothing but a beauty contest! remember that xx

@kirstysmbc - I will end up testing soon, I’m itching to do it already! 😩

Hi @Summerishere83! congrats on being PUPO! Feel free to share your tests if you ever need any second/third/fourth pair of eyes! Sending baby dust xxx
