@IVFfirsttimer91 im also taking baby aspirin, it wasn’t discussed with the clinic I just done it off my own back after hearing others doing it. I read there was no harm so was willing to try anything.

I was also given my plan from the clinic today to wean me off the meds starting from week 10, I’m already frightened by the thought. Has anyone else been given weaning off meds instructions?

Im hoping I’m consultant led, I don’t see how I wouldn’t be 40, IVF pregnancy with a past miscarriage.

Good Morning lovely ladies. Just read all the messages from the last 2 days, work has been so busy. Looking forward to have today off work. I have my scan tomorrow morning at the clinic, feeling a bit anxious but pregnancy symptoms still here so trying to keep positive.

I'm really looking forward to know when I can stop with the estrogen tablets and the progesterone pessary's. On my letter from the clinic it says 14 weeks pregnant and I can't imagine doing this 3 times a day for another 7 weeks 😕

I just can't wait for them to tell me to stop with the Heparin. I find it painful and my belly is full of bruises, but to stop pessaries and Lubion scares me a lot! I'd keep taking then for 9 months for my sanity 😅

@Sangels267 my clinic have mentioned 12 weeks for mine. I cannot wait to stop them! Im doing 2 pessaries 3x a day!! Its disgusting and Ive had enough.

And I have no anxiety about it. Ive skipped the morning one couple of times, as I was going to the beach, and couldnt very well be leaking pessaries all day long! Also, cant really wear a pad with a bikini and going to the water.

Yeah I was hugely anxious to stop last time but since it was fine it's lessened my anxiety this time and just left me excited. I stop the day before my daughters 2nd birthday! Which is 10 weeks.

I find it quite funny how different the pessary advice is- when I had my scan the nurse said I could stop in a week and then she saw the consultant letter which said 16 weeks so then agreed I have to continue!

@ASGIRC Thank you. Mine plan is one pessary (400mg) 3x a day. I haven't skipped any yet but I'm just fed up of doing them. But probably will feel anxious about stopping them when the time arrives.

@Walker12 thank you. Wow 16 weeks. 2 weeks more than me.

@Walker12 my theory is that they are literally winging it, when it comes to the pessaries.
If it was at all based on science, wed all be on the same dosage, or the dosage would be controlled with blood tests. but it isnt. Each doctor makes up their own protocol, based on probably very little.
When I did my transfer, the doctor who did it, afterwards, was saying that I should resume normal life straight away, including sex life (ha!), and not to worry if I missed taking the pessaries, as there was no proven evidence that it made any difference whatsoever!

Obviously, progesterone is what "holds" a pregnancy, and in IVF you want to give people the best chance. But my take is that unless you are really deficient in progesterone, it probably doesnt make much of a difference.
But they prescribe it, with the best intentions, and we take it, as we also want to have the best chance!

@Sangels267 Im on the same dosage, but my pessaries are 200mg, so Im having to put in 2!

Thanks ladies. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck. My DD has entered a new fun stage of "MINE" at nursery so I'm focusing all my energies into googling how to handle that rather than panicking about tomorrow. Or so I like to think.

I have my second one a week tomorrow... I don't like wishing my life away, but honestly I can't wait for it!

I have my next one on Sunday morning. Counting the days! I can't find any distraction. Nothing helps!
