Oh and symptom wise, I just looked through my old IVF book for my DD.

5 weeks 6 days - Feel absolutely fine. Maybe a tiny bit of a sore boob but only if I touch it.

6 weeks 0 days - Holy f* the vom. I want it to stop!

6 weeks 5 days - I am very much looking forward to stopping pesseries.

9 weeks 6 days - I stop pesseries tomorrow and I'm terrified. I don't want to!

11 weeks 5 days - Holy f* the vom has stopped. Does that mean something is wrong?

So yeah. It's a whirlwind.

Oh no @Olivia199 so even at 11 weeks the worry is still there 😂

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 21:34

Great that you kept a log though and have something to compare to!
Symptom wise for me, my boobs are sore if I poke them/when I take my bra off. Cramps have eased now but im relieved as they were more worrying to me to be honest! I get little bouts of nausea but I wondered if that was the progesterone. Haven't had any more OHSS type pains and my belly seems to be continuing to slowly shrink 😂

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 21:36

Actually I think the nausea may be more OHSS related. So really my only symptom is slightly sore boobs and occasional cramps.

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 22:03

@loulamay oh wow! Thats scary! But hopefully youll be fine and able to fly safely tomorrow!!! How exciting!!!

@SH998 understandable! Thats basically 7 weeks, so yeah, they should be able to see everything! Fingers crossed it is good news!

@Olivia199 maybe the nausea was because of the pneumonia? Being ill makes me really sick!
I love that you kept a log!! I dont think I will fear stopping the pessaries, though!!! They cannot go fast enough!

I dont feel pregnant at all. I have zero symptoms. maybe Im having to pee a bit more? But honestly, I cant guarantee it.
Ive never really been one to have boob soreness, though. Or many cramps, even more so in the past year or so, when I stopped having them altogether, so clearly hormones dont affect me too much.

I just hope I dont get hit with all the symptoms on Friday, when I hit 6 weeks!

ttcsolomumtobe · 07/08/2023 22:30

@Walker12 may I ask what service you used for your HCG betas and the cost? Checked with my clinic today and it's £50 per test but same day results

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 22:43

@ASGIRC it just shows how variable it all can be!
@ttcsolomumtobe that's very good, and great that you can get same day results. I used medichecks which I think is £55 for just hcg beta, but I went for a pregnancy progress one that also tests progesterone levels (purely out of interest more than anything!) Which was £62. If I had somewhere close by that did it in person for that price I would have definitely done that instead.

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 23:02

@Walker12 absolutely! One of my best friends was telling me to get ready, because I was going to be a shell of myself during the 1st trimester... And so far, Im nearly halfway done (though obviously 2 weeks are "cheat weeks") and have not noticed a single thing.
Hope it does continue!!

Olivia199 · 07/08/2023 23:15

@Walker12 - I was on modified bedrest due to the vanishing twin and a threatened miscarriage, then I fell down the stairs. So yeah, the worry was 100% there. The nausea went away the same day I took my tumble too!

Funnily enough that's the last time I remember fully falling and I took another tumble over the stairgate a couple days back. I think pregnancy makes me clumsy.

I'm having heavier pink spotting and my belly sort of aches, rather than cramps. Keep telling myself I had all this last time but man, I can't help but worry!

@ASGIRC - I was very sure I'd been keen to rid myself of them too but I got a bit attached by the time I had to stop. Worried it'd all go wrong if I didn't have them. It's a bit of a leap of faith to let your body take over!

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 23:39

@Olivia199 My doctor wants me to take them until 12 weeks. If the body isnt taking it over by then, it never will!! 12 weeks!!! Thats 6 and a half more weeks!!!! Im not sure I can cope! LOL
Id probably be freaking out if I was spotting and had pain! Have you spoken to your clinic about it?

Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 06:37

@ASGIRC - Hahah, yeah we only do until 10. It's all cleared up this morning so I'm sure all is fine.

OP posts:
SH998 · 08/08/2023 09:49

@Olivia199 @Walker12 @ASGIRC thank you ladies for the feedback and positive comments, means a lot.

I also feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one experiencing very little symptoms.

When does this start to get easier/less worrisome lol :)

10degreessunny · 08/08/2023 09:53

@SH998 I don't know, I feel very worried today. Have OTD on Thursday and tested day 7 & 10, with lines progressing but just feels like something is going to go wrong. Also the test the clinic have given me looks like a COVID test style which makes me think is it harder to show as pregnant on that, ah dear, I need to keep myself busier the don't think about this stuff!

Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 10:03

@10degreessunny - I'm sorry you're feeling so worried, but everything sounds like it's progressing great! You've just got an extra worrying time now, waiting for that 12 week mark..

OP posts:
Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 10:05

@SH998 - I'm not sure really. I had a lovely time between weeks 25-34 last time where everything felt amazing. I could feel her wiggling and happy and I felt great.

Then she got stuck under my rivs stopped wiggling so much and things got worrying again!

But it's amazing and wonderful and everyone told me it goes quickly which I thought was RIDICULOUS because it's the longest days of my life. Then I found myself posting on here that my section was happening the next day and I felt over emotional about the end of pregnancy and couldn't believe how fast it went.

Now I'm pregnant again with a two year old?! Madness!!!!

SH998 · 08/08/2023 10:06

@10degreessunny I feel that, there's always a milestone to hit and with that comes more worry. I managed to keep myself busy over the weekend sorting wardrobes and managed 3 full bags of clothes to go to the charity shop lol.

Your tests are progressing which is great so all fine, no need to worry (that being said by the biggest worry head ever). I swear by the One Step pregnancy strips, they are cheap to buy off Ebay and I find them super sensitive. Picked up my BFP on day 5.

ASGIRC · 08/08/2023 10:20

@SH998 I used one step tests too! They said they were 10mU/L and they did pick up a line in the evening of 4dpt!

Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 10:23

I think I'm going to quietly give in and buy a couple more cheap tests today. The spotting has stopped and was explainable so I'm not worried as such... but can't deny I'd love to see those two lines again.

My first milestone is always 6 weeks as after then they'll see you in EPU if needed!

I think I'm going to have to dig out the maternity clothes soon. My jeans are so ridiculously uncomfortable. Last time I started wearing them really early due to bloat and then the bloat disappeared. But from googling, it seems second time round you get a bump MUCH sooner and a lot of people find the bloat just turns into baby bump!

OP posts:
Walker12 · 08/08/2023 11:27

@Olivia199 after everything I said the other day I am also tempted to retest, but a bit scared to!
Glad the spotting has died down, even though you know its normal its natural to worry. Also feeling quite worried today purely because my ohss bloat has significantly reduced again, I feel so much better physically, but again keep reading into it being a bad thing (I've even made a separate thread but it's quite a niche thing!) Waiting for my beta result is torture!

ASGIRC · 08/08/2023 12:57

@Olivia199 I bought more cheap tests last week, which is also why Im still testing!

It is satisfying now to see the pregnant line show up as soon as the liquid goes up to test, just like a positive covid test!!😂That didnt happen until very very recently.

6 weeks is a good milestone! It is also half way through the 1st trimester!

I just feel FAT. But Im not fatter than I was before. I just feel it! I was hoping to lose a bit more weight before pregnancy, but since I replaced the alcohol with chocolate, that didnt really happen! LOL
However, my clothes still fit, and I hope they fit for a good few months, as Im not planning on telling work until maybe the 20th week and that will be very hard if I have a massive bump!!!

Lauralozzle · 08/08/2023 14:46

I think we’re all just programmed to pee on sticks at this point!

I’ve just ordered some of the Clear blue digital ovulation tests!

Sangels267 · 08/08/2023 14:52

I have tested again today - with the same tests and the line is getting darker. My light brown spotting is back today which always makes me worry, but spoke with my clinic today and they don't seem worried at all because "it's old blood". I just can't control the worrying...

Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 15:43

@Lauralozzle - I agree, it's now just part of us! Exciting for ovulation tests. Are you going for a natural fet?

OP posts:
Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 15:44

@Sangels267 - Oh I'm so pleased. Always nice to see those lines!

OP posts:
Olivia199 · 08/08/2023 15:45

@Sangels267 - Pressed send too soon. Yeah brown blood (and even pink) has always been something my clinic are totally unconcerned about. I know the feeling of the worry though. I've spotted on and off throughout so far and the same happened last time too.
