@Lauralozzle I've been drinking pure beetroot juice and it's really unpleasant, however I have this ridiculous belief that if it tastes that bad it must be doing something good. Apparently something about the nitrates in beetroot is good for blood flow to the uterus, so may benefit things like lining and implantation. However I also forced my husband to tell me jokes after my transfer as I read a study that showed people who watched a clown performance after transfer had higher rates of pregnancy... 😂 So my opinions may be questionable. Never thought I'd be buying into all these things!!

@Lauralozzle @ASGIRC it's really not bad at all! I love ginger though, which helps!

@IVFfirsttimer91 I spotted on and off during my first trimester and also know someone who had a big bleed but went on to have a healthy boy. I know how anxious you must feel though, I've been there with the stress and checking knickers every time you go to the loo or feel any discharge. Sending big hugs x

@Lauralozzle TTC 4 years. Officially unexplained diagnosis but I only have one ovary that works and DH likely has DNA fragmentation issue. Lowish AMH for my age. First cycle Jan 23 which failed. No Frosties. Second cycle July 23, 8 eggs collected, all mature and 4 fertilised. Transfer tbc (likely 29th July).

@Olivia199 solo mother by choice. ICSI in 2020 which was a freeze all. First FET resulted in my DD in Sept 21. Second FET was 20th July and positive today on day 5.

@Bristol1988 first round ICSI, MFI. Transfer 24/07/23, avoiding shops that sell pregnancy tests at the moment ;-)

@wtawtaw TTC for 3.5 years, stage 3 endo 2 years in, surgery to remove. No other factor. IVF #1, 2 embryos transfer, both failed, no Frosties. IVF 2: 1 transferred and 6 in the freezer. Currently 4+6 - I'm still hoping I'm pregnant!! Viability scan on 10/08 🤞🏻

@AnaS86 first round after an ectopic, three very early miscarriages and an mmc at 12 weeks. Transfer 22/07/23 and 6 embryos frozen.

@Fluxie Coil injury causing multiple pelvic abscesses in 20s and 30s. One ovary stuck to back of uterus, other is doing its own thing. Low amh. 11 eggs collected, 10 fertilised, 4 blasts. ET last Sunday.

@SH998 TTC for 7 years, unexplained infertility, 2 collections, currently on the 4th transfer. Miscarried after first transfer, next 2 transfers failed. This FET date was 13/7/23 and currently 12dp5dt and got BFP on 5dp5dt. 3 embryos still in the freezer. OTD is 27/07/23

@Keepingeverythingxxx Unexplained infertility & very low AMH. Currently doing our 6th round of IVF. 2nd round in 2017 resulted in our DD. We used donor eggs for the last 3 rounds but unfortunately miscarried last year at 8wks. I’m now almost 7wks pregnant after ET on 24th June. First scan on 20th July went really well. Holding out for my 8wk scan on 3rd August

@21C TTC 2 years, MFI straight to ICSI - 1st round 15 eggs collected only 2 fertilised and only 1 made it to day3, fresh transfer but failed. Now onto 2nd round - 20 eggs collected only 2 fertilised both made it to day5 blast, one transferred and one frozen. Test date 29th 🤞🏼

@ASGIRC Single mom by choice, not using own eggs due to age and carrier for genetic illness. FET on 19/07/23 of a donor embryo. First faint positive at 4dpt, stronger on 6dpt. OTD on 28/07/23

@1yearTTC 2 years TTC, currently on first round of IVF, have had 5 embryos frozen, so now waiting to have my transfer (was at risk of OHSS). Having a natural cycle to see how that goes so currently on CD9 waiting for a smiley to show ovulation before my transfer.

@Labradoodlepup 2 years TTC, MFI. Egg collection was in May, 24 eggs collected, 23 fertilised and 8 frozen. Ended up with OHSS so transfer was delayed and I’ve been climbing the walls waiting. Transfer 26/07/23

@Walker12 unexplained infertility, 1 early miscarriage. Currently in TWW of 1st IVF round (NHS), 9 eggs collected, 8 fertilised and 5 made it to blasts. 1 fresh transfer on 23.07 and the rest are in the freezer. OTD 5th Aug but I won't be able to hold out that long!

@Ivfround1 infertility due to issues with my tubes (just how I was born) they are not blocked but have these weird ridges all over them that would make it almost like a maze for egg and sperm to get to making it almost impossible to get pregnant. And when I did years ago it was an ectopic. 1st time with ivf so just found that out this year! We got 2 frozen embryos in the spring and one was transferred 7days ago. Getting strong positive lines and feeling insanely blessed.

@TTCbabyno2in2022 secondary unexplained infertility. Our son is 5 years old. Been TTC for just over 2 years. Currently in our first round of IVF, had 1 embryo transfered on 19th and 2 in the freezer. Had a faint positive test yesterday and today (7dp5dt) OTD is 31st July

Thanks for your messages guys. I’m living in a heightened state of anxiety today 😂 though it seems that the spotting is kind of fading now. It was a shock to see though.

@IVFfirsttimer91 - I was one of those who spotted a bit in the first 7 weeks, then had a couple of BIG bleeds everything was absolutely A-OK though! Totally understandable the worry you're feeling. It's so so common in pregnancy, even more so in IVF!

Hi everyone! Such lovely updates in here 😁 it’s lifted my spirits today I have to be honest! I’m going back for a scan on 31st July as my scan last Friday showed that my lining wasn’t quite there yet. I feel like a fat blown up potato 😂 my stomach is so bloated but all I’m taking is Progynova?! My moods are unreal 😬😪😂 hope everyone is well 😘

@LittleAm It seems quite a few here are bloated from the progesterone, so dont feel alone in that!!!

I almost feel alone in that I have had zero reactions to literally anything. Fingers crossed my wish for a symptomless pregnancy comes true!

@LittleAm I'm in the same boat re lining! Not suffering too much from the drugs thankfully. What was yours measuring last week?

@ASGIRC hey! I think I’ll start progesterone after my next scan on Monday. This is my 3rd round, it’s been months and months of the various drugs 🙃

Hi @loulamay i can’t remember- it wasn’t far off, they want it to be 7mm. I think I zoned out as I’m exhausted from it 🙃 hoping the next scan is the green light to go for it!

@LittleAm ugh that sounds rough! Im not even 2 weeks in of the pessaries and I just want to bin them!! Im absolutely disgusted by them and Im gonna ask my doctor if I can go on a lower dose after my beta on friday...

6 pessaries /1200mg of progesterone a day seems a bit much, and there isnt even any clear cut proof it maintains the pregnancy!! LOL

Hi everyone - hope it’s ok if I join here for some support. Bit of background - ttc 2 years with no success. Had our first IVF ICSI with fresh transfer 16th July.
Had a positive first response last night 9dp5dt but this was fainter this morning (will attach picture). I took a digital there which says pregnant 1-2 weeks, is this what is should be?
I know I’m torturing myself and feel so ill with anxiety - which is not like me, I thought I would be delighted just seeing a positive!
Any advice/similar situations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Calla2 and welcome to the thread. I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious and awful. It's one hell of a rollercoaster for sure!

Did you drink a lot over night? Was your urine less concentrated at all? Unfortunately the only way to know will be further tests. I've always found that testing at the same time of day created a better overview. I get darker lines in the evening normally as I drink a load overnight but not as much during the day.

@Olivia199 thanks for your message I did drink a few glasses of water last night after testing and hadn’t before testing.
I am going to wait until tomorrow night before I do another.
Hopefully it will progress

@Calla2 - Ah that may be it! It's so easy to dilute the sample, especially at this stage. Got everything crossed for you!

@loulamay thank you for being so organised and adding everyone's info together. Mine is doing IVF solo after 3 failed IUIs last year. No known infertility issues. Doing Mild IVF. On CD2 after a delayed period and just done my first bemfola injection. First scan/bloods due Friday at 7.30am

It's been a day off for me and it's been on my mind all day about doing the injection this evening so I've kept busy with going for breakfast with a friend, a facial and some shopping. Been reading people's posts through the day so my shopping has ended up being a looser pair of jeans and some comfy trousers, really don't wanna live in joggers if I get the bloat! And got some beetroot juice and pomegranate juice 😂 please can someone tell me when it is you would start drinking the beetroot juice, and does fresh steamed beetroot work the same? Willing to try most things and don't mind the taste of either luckily.

As for the injection, thank gosh for the ice pack tip as barely felt it but the sensation of the liquid going in is strange. Bemfola has a tiny needle and you put it all the way in, with the cetrotide that's a bigger needle, can anyone tell me how much you insert that? Will have a Google of videos when I need to start it.

@IVFfirsttimer91 i was literally about to ask the same. Think I had implantation spotting from days 5-10 (little bits of pink/orange when wiping maybe only once/twice per day). That appeared to have stopped but tonight I’ve had a little pink again when wiping. Tested positive 5dp5dt. My OTD is tomorrow.
Im now borderline a mental breakdown over it!

like Olivia said, it could be that its just more diluted (the first morning urine is only useful when its a basically dehydrated dark pee! If its very clear, it is ujust like any other!)

Does your clinic to betas? Whens your OTD?
Finger crossed thats just a more diluted sample and you get a strong positive on your next test!

Totally understand how you’re both feeling. I noticed a very small amount of blood on Saturday after wiping. It appeared to be old blood but had me panicked. Nothing since however I’ve noticed my sickness is no where near as bad as it has been (nausea has been constant for the past few weeks but appears to have subsided) which had me worrying that my levels are dropping.

We miscarried at this same point last year so I’m extra nervous thinking it’s happening again. I spoke to my GP and he arranged for me to have more bloods taken to check how my levels are progressing. I was in yesterday and back in tomorrow so should hear back on Friday.

It’s such an emotional rollercoaster. One day your up the next you’re down.

Oh congratulations @ASGIRC that is an amazing result.
I also finally got a stronger line this evening so feeling more hopeful but also looked into getting an early beta privately tomorrow - my clinic only does one and that later and so this would allow me something to compare the clinic test to. I was surprised i found something in central london for 50gbp!

@loulamay I’m doing shared motherhood, 1st transfer negative, atm 9p5dt for second transfer, tested faint positive since 5dp5dt and have been obsessing about lines not getting stronger since 😉

I've had some brown spotting since transfer day and I'm not concerned at all. They did find a little cyst somewhere up there which apparently are super common and have friable tissue so can bleed. I also know I had this with my first and was terrified every time I did a pesserie. Think everything just gets angry up there!

@Keepingeverythingxxx sorry to read about your loss. We’ve had 2 miscarriages since last October, both the same pattern of going for 7 week scan, seeing heartbeat, measuring small/behind then at 8 weeks been told they’re not progressing. Hopefully going for transfer on 7th aug. Feel like I’m just expecting the same thing to happen 😣

@ASGIRC official test day tomorrow, no it’s nhs clinic (our only cycle)
I have now had some spotting tonight so now feeling even worse and fear it’s all coming to an end. Going to contact the clinic in the morning and see what they say.

@ASGIRC thank you! If anyone has any advice or tips how to try and be positive please let me know. We’ve not told a soul that we are doing this round as last times it was so hard to tell people what had happened. Lonely and scary!

but! We are off to london for 5 days after the next scan to celebrate my 40th! Hopefully the transfer will be 2 days after we get home so I’m not drinking just now. Will be hard to resist a glass of fizz when I’m there 🙈
