@ttcsolomumtobe It's so easy to get fixated isn't it! I had an early loss in March and I got obsessed with testing/checking lines which definitely just added to the turmoil. Definitely a good idea to not have tests in the house. I have a couple more FRERs on the way but going to get my husband to hide them 😂

Interesting that they recommend clear blue, although my clinic didn't even give me a test or advise which type to use!

Thank you- you are so right about the tiredness not helping, definitely going to try and relax and stop myself from googling.. Struggling to get back to sleep but I have no plans today so I'm lucky that I can just have a lazy day on the sofa!

Lauralozzle · 30/07/2023 06:12

@Walker12 That FRER looks like it’s progressing well. If it was the trigger shot only surely it’d be getting lighter, not darker.

Fluxie · 30/07/2023 06:17

@Walker12 Hey- looks good to me! I am also up early thinking of you and thinking I might test but then remembered that my husband is going to have a stinking hangover so might not be best equipped to deal with the outcome.

I know we are on the same timeline, but my OTD is actually Thursday morning. So sooner than yours. I'm with the NHS, are you with a private clinic?

Have a restful day today. I am feeling hopeful. Have been getting some cramping, a little spotting and hot flashes. Nearly had to get naked in a restaurant last night. Anyone else had this?

ttcsolomumtobe · 30/07/2023 06:34

@Walker12 sorry to hear of your early loss, I imagine it must be such turmoil and the testing must be hard. I always thought the getting pregnant would be the stressful part but the more I read on fertility forum it's feels like once pregnancy it's just alot of other worries. Guess we suddenly have more knowledge than ever before unfortunately.
Getting your husband to hide the tests is a good shout, ration them to you every second or third day 😂

yea it's strange how different clinics are, my OTD is 16 days after transfer, be it a 3 or 5. Guess it's that they want to make sure there's no trace at all of the trigger.

Glad you've got the day to chill, hope you manage to rest.

@Fluxie maybe a good shout to skip the testing today. Don't think a hungover person can give the right reaction 😂
You want someone you can giddy happy scream at the same level as you for a positive, not someone who's head needs silence. Hope all goes well when you do test

Walker12 · 30/07/2023 06:48

@Lauralozzle thank you thats what I'm hoping too🤞 kind of regretting not properly testing out the trigger.

@fluxie yes I would definitely hold out a bit if you can so you don't have the trigger worry! I'm with the NHS too but it's via Care so I presume that's just their standard timeframe (will be 13 days after transfer). I have had some hot flushes and have had cramping on and off since transfer yes. Hope you managed to keep your clothes on 😂 no spotting for me but I hear that's very common. TMI but my bowel habits have also changed, going several times a day and then at times constipated! All of these things I think could be progesterone related.

@ttcsolomumtobe Yes it's harder knowing more sometimes isn't it. My mums generation would just have had one test (probably at the GP) and that was that!

Olivia199 · 30/07/2023 07:05

@Walker12 - It's definitely a tentative congratulations from me... that's absolutely not the trigger. My easy@home cheapies were super light that I couldn't actually get a photo of them on 5DP5DT!
I'll attach progression from them:

Oh this is so reassuring @Olivia199 thank you!!

ttcsolomumtobe · 30/07/2023 07:44

@Olivia199 do you by any chance remember the name of the trigger used and the dosage ? This would be useful as a point of reference, incase I do end up testing before OTD?

Olivia199 · 30/07/2023 07:52

@ttcsolomumtobe - Sorry, I didn't use a trigger so that part I can't help with! My confidence comes from the fact it's increasing. You'd expect to see it being faint by now and going away, not stronger.

OP posts:
Walker12 · 30/07/2023 07:53

@ttcsolomumtobe not sure about Olivia as I think hers was a FET but im case it helps mine was Gonasi 10,000 iu HCG, which is why I'm being cautious. Apparently it is usually out within 10-12 days but people can metabolise it differently and I've read it can stay in the system for up to 16 days for some!

ttcsolomumtobe · 30/07/2023 07:57

Sorry @Olivia199 my sleepy confusion 🤦🏻‍♀️ the 4am wake ups are defo getting to me ha.

@Walker12 thank you for the info. Will check what mine is but think I was advised it can take 14 days to come out of system. I think if I tested the trigger out those following days where it was white or faint would just consume me too much.

loulamay · 30/07/2023 07:58

that looks so promising @Walker12 surely trigger wouldn't be getting darker!

@Olivia199 I absolutely love that you started testing on day 3. 😁

Gosh - hoping this group is a good luck charm! so many BFPs!

ASGIRC · 30/07/2023 08:04

@IVFfirsttimer91 yeah, that would drive me up the wall!

@Walker12 That looks like a darker line, particularly on the FRER! Not the trigger! So I guess congrats are in order!!!

@Fluxie hope your dinner went well last night! hot flashes do not sound good. Cant say Ive had any...

@ttcsolomumtobe Right? I also thought getting pregnant was the main thing! Im sure my friends who just got pregnant did not spend all their times obsessing about losses.
I keep checking to see if my line is progressing and worry about it not developing as it should. Never thought this would be a thing...

@Olivia199 Thats a great line progression!!!

I had a horrible nights sleep last night, as I had trapped wind (not uncommon, but uncomfortable) and my brain was going a mile a minute, as I didnt test yesterday, and was excited to see the line progression today...

Olivia199 · 30/07/2023 08:06

@loulamay - Hahaha, my day 3 was because I've never used them before and wanted to check they weren't bad for indents etc! I was disappointed with no BFP on day 4 though, as I got a positive FRER on day 4 with DD. But then reminded myself that this wasn't a frer. BFP started 5dpt so it wasn't too long of a wait!

Though last time I had only period symptoms until 6 weeks. I'm 4 weeks and already with the sickness. Wtf?! I'm hoping it's linked to the fever and dies off a bit.

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 30/07/2023 08:06

@ttcsolomumtobe my trigger was an Ovitrelle 250, which after 10 days was out of my system. I tested it out at 2dpt (which I knew was too early for a positive, so it was a safe bet to test out, and it was clear then)

Olivia199 · 30/07/2023 08:07

@ASGIRC - How did your dinner go? Sorry you had such a crappy nights sleep!

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 30/07/2023 08:13

@Olivia199 dinner, in and of itself, was great! My aunt and uncle were there as well, which was lovely.

But I had absolutely zero chance to talk with my mother about anything.
But it was good that my mom already knew, as she covered for my not drinking (my step sister noticed it straight away and asked about it!), by not asking for white wine and drinking rose with my stepdad (which I dont drink)

She also covered when my stepsister asked me if I wanted to go for a smoke and I said Id quit (on the 1st of July!), much to my stepsisters surprise, and my mom was all "oh yeah, shed been mentioning quitting for a while!" (I hadnt at all LOL)

loulamay · 30/07/2023 08:18

@ASGIRC Go Mum!!

Walker12 · 30/07/2023 08:23

Thanks all, I'm hopeful it will progress and I agree there does seem to be lots of BFPs in this group! I've said it before but its so good to be able to chat to people who understand all this.

Your mum sounds fab @ASGIRC!!

Fluxie · 30/07/2023 08:36

@Walker12 feel quietly confident for you! My fingers are itching to get on those tests.

@ASGIRC So glad it went well with your fam, sounds like your step sis smells a rat, but well done to your mum! We had a lovely dinner and I sniffed all of the wines and drank mocktails. Also gave up smoking this year- its not easy!

Bristol1988 · 30/07/2023 08:36

@Walker12 definitely looks like it’s getting darker! Fingers crossed for you.

I would have bet my life savings on my AF coming today, before I went to bed I had all the signs including the pulling sensation and some brown spotting (sorry if tmi). Now nothing this morning and the cramping has eased. I even switched off my alarm for my morning pessary😂

Fluxie · 30/07/2023 08:37

@ttcsolomumtobe Yes kinda glad I held out today. Will see how i feel in the morning!

Fluxie · 30/07/2023 08:39

@Bristol1988 I'm a bit confused - firstly took me a long time to work out what 'AF' meant. Then... I thought you couldn't get your period or pre period symptoms on Progesterone, or are you doing a natural cycle?

Olivia199 · 30/07/2023 08:40

@ASGIRC - your mums amazing!

ASGIRC · 30/07/2023 08:49

@Fluxie my stepsister is a nosy snake! I wont be able to keep it from her for very long, but I will keep it for as long as I possibly can!

Yay for smelling the wine!!! And mocktails! I guess those will have to be my go to in the coming months!

Hahah yeah, my mom is pretty cool! And also very wise to my stepsisters tricks!
