I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

So glad you have booked a holiday @GCS34, hopefully it will make time go really quickly :)

DS has been asking about a sibling again today, the last few months it has really been on his mind. We have moved to a rural area where there isn’t a single other only child whereas there were several where we used to live. Just hope I can provide one!

@GCS34 - Im day 2 post the transfer and the bloating and heartburns are reallllly uncomfortable!!! Gosh these hormone intakes. Went for a nice day out to Eastbourne / Seven Sisters today ☺️ Feel refreshed.. Tomo plan to watch Barbie with OH (I'm late to the party!) I'm making the most of my weekends!!!

Where is your holiday planned?

Can I pop on/butt in to ask for some reassurance? ☹️ I hope people don't mind.
I'm on day 7 of stims for short antagonist protocol. First IVF. I have PCOS and lots of follicles on the go. I'm on 150 Gonal F.
I thought I'd be starting fyremadel to prevent ovulation from yesterday when I had my first progress scan but they've asked me to come back Monday for next scan and 'maybe' I'll start it then? Does that feel really late to everyone else?
I thought I was meant to stim for 10 days and I know nothing is set in stone but surely it feels late in the game to start me on it from day 9/10? I've only got enough Gonal F for 10 days so might have to order more.
I've also been given absolutely no indication of when egg collection might be....

@scaredynoob glad to hear you’re making lovely plans for the dreaded wait! The bloating is awful isn’t it, I’m living in joggers or leggings 😩 I’ve also had awful cramps since 1 day post transfer

Hi @IVFKinster and welcome. Hope you’re doing ok with the stims. I’m no expert as this is my first cycle of ivf, so I can only say from my experience. I started the antagonist on stimulation day 5 and I believe they made that decision as some of the follicles were getting quite large. I’m sure they are making the decision based upon their experience, it may be because your follicles haven’t quite reached the size needed for the antagonist yet? Please try not to worry as that’s the last thing you need on top of all the hormones and stress!

Thank you @IVF23 I guess that would make sense as I have lots of follicles maybe they're just not up at the stage they need to be for the fyremadel yet. I need to just have faith in the team looking after me!
I feel a bit better now. You're right, extra stressing (unnecessarily) is the last thing the IVF process needs!

Hey all, hope you are doing well, just tried to catch up on messages, such alot. Have had such a busy week since my transfer on Monday, done everything possible to stay out the house and away from tests. My FRERs arrived Friday, 3 days early but have just shoven them on a draw and trying not to even think about it, although not so easy. Well done @IVF23 on holding out.

@IVFKinster I was on antagonist protocol too, stims from day 2 and started the delay ovulation med from day 5 but I think that's due to follicle size. If you have PCOS it may be that your have larger number of follicles but they are small or slower growing so no risk yet of your body trying to ovulate.

@Ellenn sending big hugs, so sorry to hear about your betas, hopefully just late implantation and the numbers jump up for your next test

Hey @IVFKinster course you can! So I am/was on a short protocol and too have PCOS and had loads of follies. But I am not expert like @IVF23, but if it helps, I ended up being on 14 days of stims - trigger was day 14 and collection was day 16 and had 50 follicles, and 40 eggs. So days wise I wouldn’t worry as I thought I was gonna only be 10 days but ended up ticking me over a few more days to get the most out of me. I started the agonist injection on day 6/7 I think it was? What CD is it for your scan? I worried loads too but I guess they’re the experts and they’re not going to mess you up. I still don’t understand half of what’s going on 😂🤷‍♀️

@ttcsolomumtobe it’s good to keep distracted and busy isn’t it! How have you been feeling?

@IVF23 , it's defo helping. Back to work next week and 4 long days too so again hoping that will be a distraction. I'm feeling okay, slowly getting used to the 24/7 nip on 😂 I'm just brushing off any other signs/symptoms etc though, mainly so I don't become obsessed by them as defo fell into that trap with did IUIs.

Hope you are feeling okay, less than a week away for testing for you now. How are you feeling? Are you keeping note of your signs/symptoms?

@GCS34 14 days of stims 😬 I'm not sure I can make it! I'm on day 7 currently and my ovaries huuurt! I will be stim day 9 on my next scan on Monday and CD 11. I have been following people's progress on this thread and had seen you'd have a bumper collection. I hope you're recovering ok!
Thanks for the reassurance everyone 😊 I'll try to stop being such a worry head. Sounds like it probably is a case of being slow to grow so hopefully no risk of ovulating!

Awww thanks @IVF23 i hate mistaking stuff 🙈 so honestly I’m sorry! What day is OTD? And how are you feeling - any butterflies or anything?
and it’s great to hear you’re keeping busy @ttcsolomumtobe - good on you! So much respect for you doing this solo. Honestly. You are so strong. I think if it wasn’t for my DH putting my mental questioning to rest, I’d go mad. So utmost respect to you 💛
@IVFKinster i think it was ivf23 who said it’s probs cuz you have a few smaller ones that perhaps they want up to size. I know the reason they kept me going longer was because although I had a lot, none were big at that stage. And only really had like 16mm’s etc, and they wanted them 20-22mm plus. So they kept me going until there was like 11/12 at 24mm and the rest between 11 and 19mm. Do you remember your sizes?

@GCS34 my clinic didn't tell me the sizes! 😬 we didn't get told how many follicles exactly either, just what we heard her murmuring as she counted. They've been very chilled about the info they think we need to know and because the scan took half an hour, I just felt too overwhelmed to ask! That does sound like it makes sense though, the very first nurse didn't expect the gonal F dose to do much leading up to that first scan. So that seems like good logic that they're just not the size they need to be!

Tested again this morning. Digital is still saying pregnant and then the clear blue has a line also. But it's still faint, similar to yesterday. So no progression. I was also head in the toilet last night sick from I suspect either a bug My kid had during the week or a dodgy lunch . This can't be good for baby either. My gut tells me tomorrow's news isnt going to be great but out of my control I guess

@DauntedAF HCG levels only double about every 48 hours, so it's difficult to see progression in just one day. You should see some progression from yesterdays test if you do one tomorrow. The digital positive is very good news. And it is horrible being sick, but I don't think it will impact the baby. Hope you're feeling a bit better now

@ttcsolomumtobe yeah it’s so hard to analyse any symptoms at this point but sometimes my little mind gets pulled into it 😂
@GCS34 my OTD is Friday 😬

I’ve mainly be experiencing cramping (particularly 1-4 days post transfer), tiredness and sore breasts. All of which are probably from the Progesterone!

@DauntedAF sorry to hear you’ve been unwell. Hopefully the test will be darker tomorrow as @kirstysmbc says 🤞🏻

@DauntedAF - have a restful Sunday and you can test again tomo for a darker line and get reassured ☺️

@ttcsolomumtobe - I know what you mean!!! My sore boobs, tiredness and heartburn are just the progesterone 😂 Damn you IVF!!!

@GCS34 is still haven't had my day 6 update, I was expecting a call today so they must update me tomorrow, they said they will thaw the day 3 to day 5 but I'm not sure when they do that....im not sure about timelines either, I am hoping it will be on my next cycle mid September. I bet you are counting down the days lol!

Well I ended up with a perfect distraction during ivf and got a little puppy, eek! I said to my partner since we picked him up yesterday afternoon I have barely thought about ivf and already fewl happier, its been a nice break from googling and overthinking, just what I needed a perfect little distraction 🐶

that’s good they’re thawing the 3! So the 2 from yesterday, were they keeping anymore going until today do you know?

yeah we have our FET planning appointment on Fri 25th, so just under 2 weeks, then we’re going to go on holiday during the ‘admin’ week and do the forms while away, then back and hopefully start 🤞 feels a lot more attainable now.

@Ellenn any update? Hope you’re okay?

@IVF23 not long to go! Hopefully the sore boobs are baby boobs, not druggy ones! Are you testing alone or with other half on Friday?
