I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

That’s really helpful thank you scaredy :) DH is very fatalistic about it all, very much of the opinion that if it works then it was meant to and if it doesn’t well then it was never meant to and just means we focus our energies on DS. Am trying to adopt more of that attitude and remain always mindful that I am unbelievably fortunate already to have DS.

so I totally agree about testing. We spoke again and also about the experience someone on her had where the testing ended up ruining their embryo (sorry can’t recall who said it yesterday)? And think as you said, sometimes ignorance is bliss and our age is under the 37yo cap that they said is more likely to be genetically abnormal so Jusy going with it all now.

yes so I got annoyed and upset even more yesterday 😂😅 first my appointment isn’t until 25th august which pissed me off. Then said for me to have a natural period, and start. Which in itself is bullshit as I don’t have them due to severe pcos so it annoyed me they hadn’t even read my notes. I emailed back and ranted and someone else replied and said don’t worry, after you all i ent once the paperwork’s done we can start you. So tf likely end of sept.

I also got my images from embryology yesterday. Anyone else had theirs and think they all look deformed? 😂😂😂

yes I’ve had the recurrent miscarriage tests and they were all normal. Doctor reckons it’s been bad luck. We have 3 embryos left so will keep going x

@DauntedAF congratulations on your bfp I can see 2 lines ❤️ like others have said its still very early days so I would retest in a couple of days to watch that line progress 😉 I'm sure my clinc tests from either 10 or 12dp.

Had my day 5 update, I have 1 4AA in the freezer today along with the day 3 grade 1, and they are keeping an eye on another one that looks good but is a little behind so they are going to update me tomorrow 🤞 Although I am disappointed I don't have more than last time, I have much better quality this time with the 2 I have so I trying to focus on quality over quantity to keep me going which I am happy about.

I've had the worst night sleep panicking about the phone call, I honestly don't think I can go through ivf again, it's just been years of anxiety and heart ache.

@LittleAm I’ve ‘only’ had one mc, but can relate to what you’re saying. I’m trying to stay positive and I’ve been trying to remind myself that every sperm and egg are different so every embryo is completely unique and that just because it happened once doesn’t mean the same will happen the next time. @scaredynoob put it beautifully

I called the clinic yesterday and we’re booked in for the embryologist call on Thurs. I really don’t understand the point of that call, lasted all of 3 minutes last time! But we’re on the way to next transfer!

@GCS34 I think we might end up on the same timelines! Did you have to ask embryology to send you pics? We never got any! 😩 just a photo showing the flash on the ultrasound during transfer, but nothing of the embryos

@Hopingforno2in2023 thank you, in all the rounds i have done, I've never had a grade 1 day 3 or an A before 🤣 so its defo an achievement for me.

@Steph186 oh great! Be nice to have a pal. I think @Lowo21 is as well right? And poss someone else? Yeah the embryos. Not sure what I’m looking at other than a load of really messy drawing that looks like a 5 yo did 😂

@DauntedAF just saw your update on another thread 🥰

unfortunately not looking too great my beta from 9dp5dt taken a few days ago is 55 so although positive it’s probably too low and likely going to end in a biochemical. I know I won’t know until I do another beta but my last biochemical I did my level was 75 at same stage, so even less hope for this one. I suppose that’s why I wanted to do the beta rather than urine but I’m just so sad that my body always seems to let embryos implant which don’t go on to be anything 😭😭😭 I really hate this journey

I know how you must be feeling, it's the same as me I get positives and then they don't seem to stick around. Have you had any further testing I.e, blood clotting, immune and Karyotype etc?
Mine all came back fine accept for ANA positive so I'm now having prednisolone and baby aspirin for my next transfer, I am prone to allergies etc so we are hoping it could be linked and we found an answer but who knows.....

Take it easy today and stay hopeful x

@GCS34 sorry to hear you had a down day yesterday :( but hopefully not much longer to wait, I don't think they realise we are sick of waiting lol!

That's great you get pics, I've never had any before but how amazing you get to see them from the start!

@LavenderJoy I would honestly rather see a negative result than something I’m between which doesn’t work out.

my first transfer ended in biochemical, then had miscarriage at 6.5 wks after heartbeat scan for second. It just seems so unfair if this also ends in a biochemical 😭 I will definitely ask about those tests though incase there is something else we can do when we get another transfer.

also will have a horrible wait as our clinic is understaffed if I need another transfer as they said 4/5 months so wouldn’t be until December 😢

so difficult I’m back at families this weekend for a birthday party and I just really don’t want to be here

@Ellenn I'm sorry it wasn't the result you were hoping for, fingers crossed it is just a late implanter. When will you do your second test?

I had something similar earlier this year, and know what you mean about the being in limbo and waiting. My consultant tells me that it is def a better sign to have implantation than not, but it's very hard to go through repeated chemicals / miscarriages. Sending hugs today xx

@Ellenn sorry to hear that :( I know what you mean about closing the door to the world, and I think we all need that at times.

I would definitely ask about the bloods, I managed to get a few of them done with my doctor to save on costs, if you can get in with your GP to have the ANA test and full blood count now that could be insightful as they can see if anything was raised during the positive test...

Thats a shame about the wait, is it NHS or private?

@LavenderJoy we are on an NHS cycle at the moment, it’s just so gutting knowing I have to wait so long when we have embryos there we can use. So frustrating

@kirstysmbc im not sure I think I will just wait until OTD now which is Tuesday and see if the urine test is positive and phone the clinic. I’m hoping now I have that initial result they will do one (if the urine test is positive, it probably will be as my last biochemical it stayed positive for about a week after)I had thought I could try and use a clearblue test that detects weeks either tomorrow/Monday to see if I reach 2-3 weeks indicating a rise but not sure if that is just going to make it worse or not tbh

Hi guys! Sorry been awol the past 48 hours. I think a bad day turned into a bad night then today I thought “F this I’m not waiting around for anything I’m going to do everything I won’t be able to do in the future” and have bought wine and booked a holiday 😂 if in doubt, buy stuff!!

@LavenderJoy so over the moon that you have 2 babas on ice chillin’ for hopefully a TF soon. Forgive me if I missed it, but did they get the day 3 out to carry it on or not? and what are timelines looking like?

@scaredynoob thats such a wonderful thing your friend said. And I agree. For me, hope is something we all have. Hope is going back each month or cycle and trying again. It’s the prospect of a future with a family and that in itself is hopeful. I think Einstein said ‘insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result’. But ivf IS that. So, fuck it were all insane 😅 how is embaby boarding going?

finally @Chickencrazy3356 hey and welcome. Sorry I’ve missed your posts. It really made me sad when you said one of your Frosties didn’t make the pgt - is that common for them to not survive? What did the clinic say? Hope you’re okay. How were the other 2?
