I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

His name is Sidney 🥰

I've had a call his afternoon and no more for the freezer as they didn't make their grading, although I'm gutted I only have 2, I am glad they are both excellent quality so at least I still have a chance, last time I had more but lower quality, so fingers crossed this time 🤞🙏

@scaredynoob & @IVF23 the side effects /symptoms are defo feeling more present today but duno if it's just my mind playing tricks on me as I know I'm getting to a point where something may show on a test, still another week to OTD. Think I'm just staying in the hopeful happy bliss of thinking it's guna be a positive test so don't wanna test any sooner than needed ha.
Yesterday morning I was up early and out at a market and had odd dizziness & sick feeling, knew I wouldn't be sick but you know when you tummy just doesn't feel right. Today I woke up at 3am with even worse boob pain and couldn't get back to sleep, was like that wide awake feeling. Had a line full of washing by 4am 😂 and barely keep my eyes open by 5.30.

Has anyone gained weight/bloat again after transfer and ovaries gone down? I was back to my preweight 2 days after transfer but it's crept up again... I have no pain to suggest OHSS and have still been eating relatively well.

Oh my gosh @LavenderJoy he is the cutest!! Such a good distraction. My dog has been so comforting through all this process!

@ttcsolomumtobe I’ve been the exact same! My bloat went down loads and then has come back again so badly the last few days 🙃 I’ve been feeling nauseous today too. I hate this progesterone!

@LavenderJoy omg i LOVE your puppy 😍 adorable what a great distraction! Don’t think my dog would be too pleased if I added another puppy to the mix 🙈 (or my partner LOL)

thanks for everyone’s messages, I’ve been trying hard just to keep going and power through as at family party all weekend. I’ve just got home and finally did a urine test and got 2-3 weeks and the ‘pregnant’ came up quite fast. I suppose it means the levels are rising as I think they need to be >150? My OTD is on Tuesday at 14dp5dt so will phone my clinic then and ask if I can get bloods done on the Wednesday to see exact level when I’m collecting the lubion. Still have nausea on/off and a bit of cramping sometimes

I'm just 3dp3dt, and have absolutely zero symptoms.. Just the sore boobs which is the progesterone!!! And I've never been hint of pregnant ever before..

@IVF23 - did you do something to get the bloat down? Do you have any tips? It's the worst when I'm sleeping ugh

Hey did you have your transfer on the 10th? If so, we had ours on the same day :)
I’ve only just joined Mumsnet today but wanted to try and find people going through the same experience.
this is my first IVF cycle. I only had a bit of heartburn yesterday and no bloating yet but I have not been able to sleep the last few nights. I keep waking up and then not being able to go back to sleep!

@Doughnut89 - hi Twin!! Yes I had my transfer on the 10th, fresh, and Day 3 (long story... 13 good quality eggs, just 1 fertilised...)

Omg I've been having terrible heartburn and bloating.. but honestly the heartburn might just be food and bloating, progesterone.

So your OTD is 23rd as well?

You not being able to sleep is anxiety or discomfort?

@scaredynoob My clinic told me my OTD was the 22nd but I’m so tempted to test early this week 😬
I only had six eggs collected so I was really worried but thankfully 4 fertilised. mine was also a fresh transfer.

Sending lots of baby dust for you and I hope this one’s sticky. Can I ask what grade the fertilised one was?

I was wondering whether my insomnia was progesterone related but it might also be anxiety. Plus I’ve had cramps and boob aches in the night which I think might also be the hormones!

Well, the fertilised embryo was called "average 3/3".. at that point I didn't even wanna know what that meant really.. I was happy I even had one..

Hi @scaredynoob there was not anything that I found particularly helpful sorry, it just seems to go down naturally once the ovaries went down which was about 6 days after egg collection. Then it’s picked back up again as bad as it was straight after egg collection for the past few days

@scaredynoob My frozen ones are 3’s, I think that’s promising.

I’m so pleased to read this @Ellenn!! is that the first official test you’ve done with this cycle? How lovely to see the ‘pregnant’ words written out. I think those tests are awesome when it’s positive right? Fingers crossed for this week for you. Just really hope Tuesday and every day thereafter is positive.

@LavenderJoy sidney is amazing!!! And defo takes away the mindless stressing. Has he chewed anything yet? Sorry to hear no more made the grade, but 2 x good quality is a great result. You have a back up or a sibling so that’s a good position I think. Have they said anything more about time to transfer?

@IVF23 is Friday your OTD? And in a non-horrible way, I hope the nausea isn’t the drugs and is actually MS 😅

@GCS34 that was first ‘normal’ pregnancy test I’ve done yes 😊 the beta (blood) was on Thursday which was positive too just not super high. Really hope just later implantation and it will be ok 🤞

any word when you might get to start meds for transfer?

@Lowo21 totally missed this!! Sorry. So timelines are end of sept. Week on Friday (25th for appointment) then admin / consent form week for us to fill out all the stuff for the protocol / drugs (while on holiday drinking aperol spritz 😏 )then drug taking and hopefully transferring September. I dunno I feel like it’ll be bloody ages. Have you yet or still September? Have you heard of pgt damaging embryos?

@scaredynoob it's not exciting but I got rid of my EC bloat within a few days by drinking coconut water, tomato juice and having foods high in potassium and sodium, helps draw the water out.

@Doughnut89 my sleep has been affected, a few 3/4am get ups as cannot get back to sleep. I do alot think it's part awareness of what's going on and thinking about stuff as soon as I wake. Hope you manage to rest

@scaredynoob this journey is horrible for anxiety isn’t it 😢 I feel you. You are so early you wouldn’t be seeing any symptoms yet, and many people have literally no symptoms anyway. Mine didn’t start until 10dp5dt.

Ive been using headspace recently and felt it was really helpful when my brain was just in overdrive. Might be worth a try if not used before? xxx

@GCS34 There are reports of embryos not surviving the biopsy, all my embryos made it (25 in total). I think it is less common, now that technology has advanced. I found this table on fertility IQ - a good website.

I opted to do it because I’m a bit older and although it is expensive we could just about manage (with help).

Thanks @ARM23 how many of your 23 made it through the testing and as positive ones to transfer?
