I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

Welcome @kirstysmbc! My friends SIL conceived her second IVF baby at 43 so keeping everything crossed for you.

Just did my first Cetrotide injection, am pleasantly surprised by how easy the injections have been so far. I have been very brave and done them myself!

@ttcsolomumtobe I know right 🙄that's great you don't have to wait 16 days it seems slightly excessive! I wish you luck holding out from testing 💪remember once you start you can't stop 😂 (or I couldn't!) when I was taking progesterone for medicated cycles I also had SUPER painful breasts and really sensitive like you! Had to change to really soft sports bra tops.

Think maybe my breasts are bit bigger but they do sometimes change anyway in second half of cycle so could mean absolutely nothing. We shall see I will send off the medichecks sample tomorrow morning, think it takes up to 48 hrs to get results ....

@kirstysmbc welcome 👋Sorry to hear of your miscarriage, fingers crossed your ovaries are on it and give you some lovely embryos! When are you due to start stimulation meds?

@TT82 I haven’t decided yet on PGTA testing yet, but am doing a freeze all cycle so I have the option. My consultant has recommended it as I’ve had three transfers, all of which have led to pregnancies, but two resulted in miscarriage. He thinks it’s probably due to abnormalities as I was 40.5 when they were created. I will decide once I know how many (if any) embryos I get. I will also talk to the embryologist at my clinic to help decide. Are you doing another cycle now?

@GCS34 I had a missed miscarriage with my first fresh transfer, my daughter was from my first fet, then did a second fet earlier this year which led to another miscarriage. I still have one embryo left from that cycle but grade c, so my consultant recommended doing another fresh round. I’m hoping it’s not just an attempt to make money from me!! Where are you with your treatment?

I am in the mid-stimulation for my first cycle, on Friday scan and hopefully next week EC. I initially decided for testing, even though my clinic was against at first, but after June cp they said yes, in my case it is clear quality issue (all tests, hormones are fine and I have 2 kids conceived naturally). So they moved IVF ftom July to August and here it will take min 4 weeks to test.
I was thinking if I am lucky (which I understand now very low chance) to have more than 4 (fixed price for testing, then per each additional ) I could keep and not test and then decide. I worry I won't even come to FET stage as nothing to transfer 🥺
I will keep you updated but all will depend how successful we are first EC

@Ellenn Thanks! Still another week of downreg to go, then if my bleed comes on time, stims will start next Thursday.

@ttcsolomumtobe I also had my transfer yesterday and my OTD is the 21st! Do you think you will test early? I know with my last round I gave in and tested at 12 days, as I had work the next day and I wanted to get it dine, as I knew it would be a definite result by that point!

@scaredynoob so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time! I'm keeping everything crossed for you! This journey can be such a rollercoaster of emotions! Hope you're doing okay.

@ellen wishing you so much luck! Not long to go until test date. It can be really normal to have zero signs in the TWW, really hoping you see your BFP!

@GCS34 such amazing news!! It just goes to show how much it can all turnaround! Grading doesn't mean anything!! Its so exciting they're putting 2 in, I bet your mind is racing!

@kirstysmbc welcome!! Lovely to hear you had your daughter from your last round. I had my son in my last round and now we're going in for no.2. Sorry to hear you've had a rough start to your journey. Sending you lots of positive energy!!

@KG1244 sorry I've never had progesterone as injections, but I'm sure someone on here will have, there is such a range of experience.

I have my CD10 scan on Friday @kirstysmbc and I think the clinic are aiming for EC on Monday. Will depend on the scan on Friday however. Weirdly I was on Clomid for five days from the start of my cycle so have only just started injections.

I'm looking if anyone has good stories to share? Has anyone had success with fresh day 3 transfer? Is it too much to hope for?

@GCS34 sorry I should have made it clear, I don't have to sit around all day... But you know when people say relax, have a netflix day, chill ... It's like literally my worse nightmare! I love being outdoors and it's been some lovely weather so just making the most of it while trying to not overdo it. When I did my IUIs across winter I barely went out after insemination because of worrying about the cold and the impacts, yes totally overthinking it but it really did play havoc with my MH so almost feel so aware that I don't wanna fall into those ways again.

I have a telephone based work job so for some calls can be sat there for 2 hours at a time and do 10 hour shifts so took yesterday and today off, yesterday my head was fuzzy and still tired and today with be day 5 results. Also I work with vulnerable people and some really upsetting stories so knew my mind wouldn't be 100% on them so not fair.

@Ellenn yes I dug out an old t-shirt material style bra for sleeping in, the type you wouldn't be seen in as no support possible ha. Hoping it will ease off.
How are you feeling with test day approaching?

@Hopingforno2in2023 my transfer was Monday, but a day 3 embryo. Was yours a 3 or 5? Sorry if you've mentioned and I've missed it. I have the week of 21st off so think I will test that day. I have got 2 FRERs being delivered early next week and a clear blue my clinic provided so if I was to test it would only be a day or 2 earlier and mainly if there was something of worry. If I feel how I do now and no bleeding I will hold out.

I know some people prefer the easy let down if it goes that way or the excitement of watching the lines develop but I know for me it would just be an extra thing to be consumed by

@Hopingforno2in2023 my apologies, I'm so sorry, my brain is not with it!! Genuinely feel of any symptoms, my focus and memory is impacted. I spend 15mins this morning looking for the milk that I knew I got out the fridge.... Only to find it in the dishwasher!

@Ellenn so the alternative to lubion is kinda like the trigger shot from what I can understand. That was a bum injection for me although I know some people also get the belly one for that too!

@GCS34 yes, I think clinics perhaps just prefer different brands over others maybe. They said it’s up to me but I guess it depends on who I see on the 17th and if they are agreeable 😂 I started on the patches last night. I don’t know what I was expecting but I thought it would look more exciting than effectively a large clear plaster!

@LavenderJoy thanks for this! I’m definitely going to try and push for lubion. Sorry I’ve lost track a bit, this is a busy group! Where are you up to?

Hey @scaredynoob yes I do! My sister had a day 3 transfer 5 years ago, and my niece has just turned 4! No complications, absolutely fine. xx

@KG1244 God knows - have that treat to look forward to in a few weeks! haha the patches - do you have to put a new one on every day, or do they stay on for the duration?

@kirstysmbc so sad you had 2 misscarriages. It doesn't seem fair does it? Did they say why? I know the law changed recently that they will test after your 2nd now, not 3rd as before. Oh god don't say that about 'only a C' grade lol - that's what 4 of my 5 are! 😥

@Justkeepmoving1234 oh god don't say that yet haha! We're going for the B first, then if that doesn't work, I assume they'll try a C on it's own, and if that doesn't, do 2 x C's on the third. Who knows. Exciting news though I JUST STARTED MY PERIOD! Woohoo. Waiting for the clinic to call me back to start building up for FET hopefully end of month.

Question to anyone who's had a medicated FET previously. Do they leave you alone for a couple of weeks while you're taking the estrogen, then scan you after a few weeks, or do you have to go in for scans every week? Trying to think if I can plan a holiday while i'm on them so if I don't have to have a scan for a couple of weeks while it builds up my lining, I can!

@KG1244 had my egg collection Monday :) had a call yesterday that out my 10 collected all 10 were mature and suitable and 7 of those have fertilised normally, so just waiting now for my day 3 update and hopefully day 5 🙏but I know it can all change overnight, its a freeze all as I was high risk of Ohss. At first I was upset about that but i can see that was the right choice now as I do feel uncomfortable so don't think a transfer would be ideal when my body is still recovering.

@ttcsolomumtobe Ah I see what you mean. Yeah i'm mad active and outdoorsy too. I think theirs a fine balance between your mental health, and physical health. For me, exercise helps me with my MH, so stopping it wouldn't have a positive effect as I would be really anxious throughout the treatment, which would also have a negative effect. Bit of a catch 22. So i'm just walking lots every day. And I did some exercise last night for the first time in a month as I am feeling back up to it again. I hurt ALOT today haha!

Gosh that's so hard for you - sorry you have to deal with the emotional toll of work on top of your own rollercoaster. Have you kept up the walking? Theirs a fine balance between 'taking it easy' and being completely immobile isn't it? So hard to juggle. I work from home so I'm quite fortunate in that respect that I can get out and do some walking on lunch etc. Have you got some nice things to do that involves being outdoors for the weekend?

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok!

Been watching for a little while, but I struggle to keep up 🙈 I hope you don't mind me joining in!

I'm on my second round, and after my second stim scan yesterday I did my trigger last night and in for collection tomorrow!
Not as many follicles as I was hoping for, but hopefully still get a few eggs. I had 5/6 decent size ones this time.

Last round we got 6 eggs, 5 fertilised and it resulted in a top grade blast that I had a fresh transfer of, i then miscarried 😔 the other 4 didn't make it.

Would love something to transfer and to freeze this time but who knows!

Ours is MFI, DH has low count and 0% morphology so we are having ICSI again,

Anyone else in for collection this week?

Welcome @User491 how are you feeling for your collection tomorrow? Quality not quanity - which I can vouch for based on my bumper crop resulting in 1 strong and 4 medium embryo's. Good luck for tomorrow!
I started my period this morning, EC was last week, so waiting for the clinic to call back to discuss FET end of month as I had to do a freeze all last week due to the numbers I had being a risk

@scaredynoob EXCITING!!!!! Is your other half coming into theatre with you? Lots of luck to your embaby on board!

@GCS34 are you starting your FET as soon as you have your first bleed after the egg collection(I.e. today is cycle day 1 of your frozen transfer) or have you got to wait another month? I wasn't sure how soon they usually start it.
