@scaredynoob good luck for tomorrow 🤞

scaredynoob · 09/08/2023 14:23

Thank you @LavenderJoy @GCS34

Yes my partner will be with me.

I'm still having so much anxiety that since only one fertilised, and if I get a call tomorrow that it didn't survive Day 3, and thus I now have no chance? I feel v lost ..

Justkeepmoving1234 · 09/08/2023 14:33

@ttcsolomumtobe mine was a day 5 FET from my last round in 2020. I've heard plenty of people have success with a day 3, the embryo can sometimes develop better, as its where it needs to be!
I'm not an early tester either, only by a couple of days. I've had chemicals before so I'd rather get as close to the testing date as possible! It's hard enough as it is! Wishing you lots of luck!!

@scaredynoob I've heard of so many people get pregnant off a date 3 transfer! It's where it needs to be, lovely and secure in you!

@GCS34 I'm currently on a medicated FET cycle. The first 2 weeks are pretty chilled. I had a baseline scan on cycle day 2 to check for follicles and my womb lining.
Scan and blood test on cycle day 12 to check womb lining and to make sure I hadn't ovulated - got my transfer date at the appointment, for a transfer 5 days later, and started progesterone pesaries that evening.
They did tell me that if my womb lining wasn't thick enough, I would have to go back a week after the day 12 scan.
CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR PERIOD COMING!! Its all go from here!

Welcome @User491 good luck for your egg collection tomorrow!! The numbers aren't that important, it only takes 1!!

@LavenderJoy hope your call went okay!!

Justkeepmoving1234 · 09/08/2023 14:37

@scaredynoob just seen your recent post. Really sorry its been so stressful for you! I have everything crossed for your update!
I understand its so hard when everything can be so uncertain, it absolutely takes over everything when your going through this journey. Trying to send lots of well wishes your way

Hopingforno2in2023 · 09/08/2023 14:52

Hugs scaredy Flowers The anxiety around this process is crazy.

I am managing to keep myself relatively well distracted at the moment as I have my driving test tomorrow! The anxiety about that is somewhat eclipsing the anxiety about the IVF 😂

scaredynoob · 09/08/2023 15:19

Thank you @Justkeepmoving1234 @Hopingforno2in2023

@Hopingforno2in2023 - hats offfff to you 😂 Wish you the best! You'll be doing school runs with the lil ones soon!!!!!

LavenderJoy · 09/08/2023 12:53

@GCS34 are you starting your FET as soon as you have your first bleed after the egg collection(I.e. today is cycle day 1 of your frozen transfer) or have you got to wait another month? I wasn't sure how soon they usually start it.

@LavenderJoy hey! Well, the clinic just rang me to book in for a planning appointment with my consultant to discuss drugs, plan, timelines etc. Because of my PCOS I don't have natural periods, so they will use this as my withdrawal then random start once everything is in place. Fingers crossed in the next week or two.

@Justkeepmoving1234 Woohoo!! Period parties all round (who thought we'd celebrate a period hey!) Thanks so much for the info on the medicated FET. That's really helpful - appreciate it. The clinic just rang to sort the admin out and booking in an appointment. Hopefully I'll have an appointment next week, then providing they're happy, they'll get the drugs over to me in a week or two, and I can be left alone for a few weeks! I'm going to try and look for a holiday end of the month in that case. All becoming real yet painfully terrifying (and painfully period pain-y! No one told me how intense the post-IVF period was! 😫) How are you getting on?

@scaredynoob So pleased your OH is coming with you 💛Have they given any update today on how he's doing in the lab?

Good Luck for your driving test @Hopingforno2in2023 It's due to be lovely weather in the UK tomorrow, so hopefully that'll put your instructor in a GREAT mood and pass you regardless 😅

TTCMama17 · 09/08/2023 16:03

Hi all! I hope you don't mind me jumping on. First of all I'm sending you all baby dust and I hope this year is the one that we all finally become a mummy! I've just started my period and will be starting my medication for a FET later this month. How is everyone feeling? I am feeling very down as both embryos left are c graded and we've had two previous fails! Thank you for letting me tag along to this community!

scaredynoob · 09/08/2023 16:26

Welcome @TTCMama17 -- all the best to you!!!

@GCS34 - no I haven't gotten any call from the lab (I guess that's a good sign?) Though I wasn't expecting it

kirstysmbc · 09/08/2023 18:27

@GCS34 My consultant thinks it is just likely due to my age. He says it's a great sign that I've had implantation every time, but they are likely to be abnormal. My last transfer was two c grades and also implanted, so def possible to get success. One of the reasons he suggested a new fresh cycle is because that last embryo isn't going anywhere, so can always use it later if I don't get anything from this cycle.

KG1244 · 09/08/2023 21:13

@scaredynoob lots of luck for tomorrow

@GCS34 so the patches get changed every three days. All very straightforward although just over 24 hours in and I’m exhausted. I can barely keep my eyes open. Those hormones are a right pain!

@LavenderJoy really good numbers. Keep us posted. I was really gutted when I was told I had to do a freeze all cause I was all psyched up for the transfer but in the end it was quite good to have the breathing space in between to recover and prepare for my FET.

For those of you that have done patches before, do you remember them making you really tired? I’m really hoping this passes in a few days 😬

Hi ladies

how is everybody doing ? I just had a quick question for those of you who have had more than one cycle did you get less eggs on your subsequent rounds and what was your break between rounds ?

I got 8 on my first of which 2 made it to blastocyst and unfortunately only 3 eggs after my collection this Sunday im wondering for my 3rd round if I should give myself a couple of months off.

we are doing PGTA on any embryos and hoping for a FET at the end of the year , I’ve got low ovarian reserve AMH

@KG1244 thats for the info chicka. Is the exhaustion from the estrogen then? I don’t know what the side effects are tbh. Are you on tablets as well or just patches? What’s the name of them if you don’t mind sharing?

@kirstysmbc awww bless you. That’s good tho and as you say, promising that implanting is possible it’s just a case of wrong embryo wrong time. Have you got a date to start your stims? How long you on downregs for?

@LavenderJoy have you had an update on your day 3’s? And @scaredynoob so much luck for tomorrow girl

kirstysmbc · 09/08/2023 22:09

@KG1244 I was on oestrogen patches, one every two days, then doubled to two after a week. Luckily they didn't make me tired, but the progesterone always wipes me out! Hopefully your body will adjust and you'll start to feel a bit better soon.

@GCS34 I have a scan on Tuesday to check if I'm ready to start stims next Thursday. That will be after 15 days off downreg. Last time it took 12 days for a bleed, so probably about the right timescales for me.

@kirstysmbc i was on a short protocol so I never did down reg drugs. So I am quite naieve with what that does / how it works. Aside from bringing your estrogen down, I’m not sure how it works / what it does? With my pcos being so erratic, I never have periods, and with high ohss risk they put me on a short protocol.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 10/08/2023 06:13

I have woken up with the lurgy :( So worried it is going to affect this cycle. Will call my clinic when they open.

Ellenn · 10/08/2023 06:50

@scaredynoob good luck with your transfer today 🥰

@ttcsolomumtobe how are you feeling now that you are PUPO?

@Chickencrazy3356 on exact same medication my first cycle I got 14 eggs and second cycle 24. Seems to be so random! My first cycle I did last July, then my second cycle was in May this year (had transfers between).

im now 9dp5dt and had quite a bit of cramping last night which has made me worried as my period is due today/tomorrow I think. I know I’m being silly as I got positive tests last transfer and also had cramping 🙈 but when you cramp it just makes you think of your period arriving 😳 Ahhh I need to chill out and not check my pants every 2 mins 🤣

ttcsolomumtobe · 10/08/2023 07:03

@Ellenn hey lovely, I'm feeling really well to be honest. I had some sharp pains in right ovary yesterday which I'm hoping is it just returning to normal as believe they took more from that one. Also have a rash on my leg, 99% sure it's shaving rash but itches like mad and is making me a bit worried. Google searching brings up things like autoimmune progesterone dermatitis (often people get it end of luteal phase usually and weirdly I have had this before - so concerned the pessaries are making it worse) and cellulitis (doesn't look like this thankfully) but I keep just reminding myself that I shaved my legs on EC day and wore linen trousers so it's simply that. Isn't it strange how we almost have to reassure ourself of stuff we know?
How are you doing? Any symptoms or just trying to ignore them all?

@scaredynoob good luck for today ! Hope they give you a scan pic where it looks like a little white starburst as they do the transfer 🩷

I haven't yet shared my numbers as my day 5 call was early morning and at that point they hadn't reached blastocysts stage to grade them, she advised this could be because I had an EC in afternoon. They were going to grade and freeze any they could yesterday and will give me an update today, also any still not at blastocyst they will give today aswell and a final update tomorrow.

ARM23 · 10/08/2023 07:30

Hi

Thank you for all sharing your journey’s, I have been here from the start, but I have a bit of post anxiety. I have just seen a post and thought my experience might help.

I’ve just done my 3rd egg collection in a row! The 1st two were fine, this 3rd one has been difficult (emotionally and I’m just so very very tired). My consultant, who is great, gave me a different stim, that possibly helps with egg quality and I am blaming that.

I didn’t have any drop off between collection in numbers or grading.

I am 38 and unfortunately, the vast majority have ended up being genetically abnormal…which was a shock, particularly when they were mostly graded As/Bs. From 17 good embryos I have two frosties 🩵🩵. Overall, this has saved me a lot of time and heartbreak, so I am pleased I have done it, despite the expense!

Yesterday was day 5 and the embryos from my 3rd, and hopefully last collection have gone off for pgta. I have my fingers crossed for two genetically normal ones but as long as it isn’t 0 I will be
happy.

Then I hope to start FET in September. I feel like I am a pro at the collection part, but a bit anxious about the frozen transfer.

Just catching up with all the news! I don't think people outside the IVF community understand how so much can change in such a short period of time! Really finding that people just don't get how hard this journey is!

@Hopingforno2in2023 oh no! Are you due to transfer today? How did the driving test go?

@scaredynoob ✨✨ all the best for today !!

@GCS34 had a super busy day at work and didn't get chance to catch up on the messages so much has happened !! So TFP called and booked in my planning and consent meeting 25 aug then scan 30 aug and hopefully start meds on 01 sep !!! The info I have on it so far is that it will be a short FET protocol. I'm literally wishing the days away it's awful. Like you hope to fit in a holiday somewhere in between. So glad you got a good crop in the freezer!

Hello to all the newbies too! This is a lovely group and a lifesaver !!! 🥰

Hopingforno2in2023 · 10/08/2023 07:37

Driving test is today Lowo and I am currently stimming, have my CD10 scan tomorrow.

Lowo21 · 10/08/2023 07:38

@ARM23 what a journey !! You are incredible for 3 back to back EC! Enjoy the well deserved break between now and sept ! Looks like you are joining the sept FET club!! So much can happen in IVF that isn't planned. Thank you for sharing your story we are all behind you on this journey ! Keep posting !

Hopingforno2in2023 · 10/08/2023 07:53

Don’t apologise Lowo, it is impossible to keep track of everyone :) thank you, just the worst time for this to happen!

@Lowo21 Woahhhhh that’s just spooky twin shut again. TFP are calling me today to book in my planning meeting with a view to starting in a week or two. We’re 100% gonna be having our FET at the same time! In your apt, what did you go over and why cant they start you on the drugs like Monday or something? Is it due to your period or something? I’m gonna demand mine sooner hahah. They 100% hate me at my clinic I reckon.

@scaredynoob good luck!!!!! and @Hopingforno2in2023 good luck for your driving test today.

@ARM23 welcome!! May I ask… how much per embryo was PGT-A testing? And how many embryos did you have prior to the testing? Sounds like you’re on the same timeline as @Lowo21 and me 😀
