I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

I'm sorry @GCS34 how are you feeling? , may I ask how many eggs were retrieved? Are you planning to get a fresh or frozen transfer?

Sounds like there is so much going on for everybody. It just goes to show how unpredictable and different everyone's journey can be!!

Good luck to everyone who is waiting on embryo development, starting treatment and embryo transfers.

The estrogen patches for my FET this month have really kicked my arse emotionally, but it seems to have evened itself out.

I had my ultrasound on thursday and I'm going in for my frozen embryo transfer tomorrow. I have mine under sedation due to medical issues, so I'm in there at 7.30am!! Dreading the 2ww

Summary below:

40 eggs retrieved,
39 Mature
27 Fertilised
18 made it to Day 3
14 made it to Day 5 but are all E's and F's so not suitable for freezing
1 5BB frozen

Thank you all for your caring message. I'm just shocked I think how it's just changed so drastically overnight

@GCS34 I'm so sorry about your update, hopefully it's a sticky one when you go ahead.

@scaredynoob & @IVF23 I hope your transfers went well and you are both feeling okay.

I decided to go ahead with a day 3 transfer.... Had all of 40mins from first call to deciding and get set out so it was some mad googling! I thought the clinic would make the choice for me but the option was mine.

Will hopefully get some day 5 embryos too... Will share my numbers on day 5/6. Day 3s they can't grade with the AA/BB etc but my clinic grade them on top quality, good quality, average, then poor.

Sorry to hear that @GCS34, but I have everything crossed for that 5BB which is an excellent grade, it only takes one and that could be your lucky one!!
This ivf game is cruel so many up and downs.

I had my egg collection today, 10 collected so I'm waiting nervously for phone updates over the next few days.

@GCS34 I am so sorry to hear your news. This is such a cruel process. I am sending you so much support and love. I have just read your message quickly but I think we will transfer around the same time. I hope you have something positive to look forward to/do this week. Be kind to yourself xxx

@ttcsolomumtobe - I had my EC procedure today. The transfer will happen eventually as I receive calls from the clinic (I don't know, from tomorrow maybe?) Gosh I actually come across as SUCH A CLUELESS NOOOOOB. I don't know why I'm hesitant to ask questions.

Anyway, it's surprising the onus of making a choice was on you. What factors made you arrive at a decision?

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has used patches instead of Progynova tablets? Last 2 FET rounds I’ve had a prostap injection, then Progynova before starting pessaries. Different plan this time, I’m on tablets to bring on a period before I start patches. I know it’s not an exact science but I’ve been on/off hormones since May 2022 and feel 🤪🤪
we have 3 frozen embryos. Last 2 have ended in MC but been assured by the doctor it’s been bad luck.

@GCS34 tbh not sure on the timing.. I am on day 4 of stimulation, then hopefully next week EC, then depending on the success we will send PGTA if we have 4, which I doubt.. 😔 So will start preparing for the next EC.. Also dr told me 4 weeks min wait for the test results.. If I have a chance to do FET this year I will be very happy!

Really sorry to hear how you are feeling @GCS34 its such a difficult process with just so much uncertainty at every single step. You have one brilliant embryo frozen and I’ll keep everything crossed that it’ll be the one for you!

@ttcsolomumtobe ah it’s a tough call isn’t it! Glad to hear it went ahead today and fingers crossed for the wait. When will your test day be? Mine is next Friday.

@scaredynoob glad to hear EC went well. Yes you will usually receive a call tomorrow morning to update how many fertilised. Then I think most clinics then give you a day 3 and then day 5 update

@scaredynoob sorry, my mix up... Honestly feel like I've barely had any body systems but my head and thinking is to shot atm. From last Wednesday when there was talk of cancellation and many months delays to actually getting to a transfer today... Currently feel like I'm watching someone else live my life, not like I'm in it, if that at all makes sense

Hope your calls go well and honestly ask them as many questions as your feel you need to

@scaredynoob yes my official test date is 11 days post 5 day transfer, so next Friday 😬

@IVF23 mine is down as Monday 21st. I did manage to get some FRERs but pretty certain I will hold off till test day, actually have that week off work luckily. Will you be having bloods done at your clinic? I think they are included with Create but not ABC, they are £50 each at ABC

@LittleAm Hey, I’m about to start medicated FET and I’ve been told I will be using patches and then injections every other day and pessaries. I don’t understand why there are differences between clinics. Hopefully someone can shed some light!

@scaredynoob my clinic treat EC as day 0, on day 1 they call and tell you how many have fertilised, day 3 they call and tell you how they are progressing and if your clinic offer day 3 transfer you have that choice/they advised to do it. Next call is day 5 to tell you about the blastocysts.wnd the final numbers for freezer, may get a call on day 6 if there is a late blastocysts.

Each clinic differs some only give day 5 because of the way they monitor them. They limit taking them out to check them due to light exposure can affect them.

Did you clinic not give you any kinda booklet, mine gave me like this exercise book thing 😂

@ttcsolomumtobe no I don’t think it’s included, they just book you in for a 7 week scan if you test positive on your test day.
How are you feeling?

@IVF23 I'm feeling fine in myself, just glad to have an embryo on board and fingers crossed some to the freezer, will find out more Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Feel like the cycles flown by and although I have felt chill through it I think it will catch up with me now il be slowing down. How are you feeling?
