I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

Hi All,

I am new in this forum and had done 3 FET (all failed)...

Dr told me that all were very good Embreos but didn't work for me ...

I am going for another round in august hope and pray that will work :)

today is my 2nd day of the period.

@Ellenn thank you. Having a cuppa and chilling, patiently waiting for the call to know if I go today or if they are pushing me to day 5.

Trying to hold off on a shower as you wanna be a scentless and clean as possible but also know it will be a dash with rush hour traffic and due to start work at 8... ,🤣 what a Monday

For anyone trying to get FRERs Amazon has done back in stock £9.99 for 2. Just managed to order a pack. May be shortage in some areas but worth a nosey, just checked by chance as been looking for the last week and fully out of stock

@ttcsolomumtobe once the eggs are out all good intentions are about the window in my opinion 😂 I had caffeine, wine, cake and McDonalds chips this weekend in a celebratory post-egg retrieval high

@GCS34 yea don't blame you for celebrating, the fact you aren't doing a fresh and have so many eggs you won't need an EC for a while you have a bit more leeway with those things 😂 personally don't think any of them aid the recovery from OHSS apart from making you feel happy/alternative pain relief

@Helene2019 haha abso-freakin-lutely! Girl after my heart! I think, when you're pregnant, you're not going to be able to have wine or soft cheese, so just enjoy it while you can! I say soft cheese, I don't eat it, but I DO drink wine 😂😏

@KG1244 @BebeBelle for my first cycle out of 14 eggs I only got 2 embryos! I remember it being disappointing at the time as you always hear of people with loads of embryos. The nurses told me majority of people will only get between 2-4 embryos and that’s a great result. Every embryo is a chance of a baby after all! My second cycle had much better results. Seems to be so variable between cycles 🤷‍♀️

@KG1244 @BebeBelle It's so hard isn't it with EC and even if you are prepared for the drop, it doesn't make it easier. I feel really bad for posting my #'s yesterday, as I don't want people to feel bad about their own results. I'm totally NOT normal, and everyones journey is different, and I was quite ill a previous month with OHSS, so pro's and con's to everything. And our clinic also doesn't freeze anything not A-C, so we may loose all of them if they're not great quality. I am waiting for my call to find out what they froze. And as I say, that is only half of it - I have to actually implant as well - embryo's are only half the battle! xx

@GCS34 please do not feel bad at all on my account. I really do think it’s luck of the month. I’ve seen some people collect 8 eggs and get 6 good embryos. I’m really grateful that I got 4. I just really wasn’t prepared for that drop!

@KG1244 Thank you lovely - that's really kind. It's mad how you end up feeling guilty about something that is a medical issue isn't it? Anyway, yes you're totally right. My sister had a round of 9 collected, 6 mature, and got 1 good and one low quality embryo. And the 1 good is my niece, so it doesn't really make any difference. It just means I have an option if it fails, which is my biggest worry next! 🙄Honestly why are we so cruel on ourselves sometimes? Anyway, 4 is ace! Have you had an update on when they think your FET will be?

@GCS34 the whole thing is just a shit show! So I had a natural FET in June with a good embryo which sadly failed and I’m due to start another round this month with an average quality. I’ve got my first appointment tomorrow so looking forward to cracking on again although not the most confident with an average quality 😬

Hiiiii looks like I was anxious and mixed up. As rightly pointed out, my trigger was in fact scheduled for 8.30pm, and I was supposed to check in at 7.30am today!! EC went fine, there's still a bit of cramping. However during the procedure I didn't feel a thing and LOVED the sedative 😂 Damn I'm awake again! They collected 13 eggs, but going by your advice, I'm not concerned whether that's a "good" or "bad" number, because these numbers will dwindle till embryo formation anyway ..

@scaredynoob welcome back! Glad you didn't mess up, and you were okay! 13 is a nice number and numbers literally mean nothing. I had a call from my clinic today to tell me the Day 5 update, and it's just changed everything. All I say is numbers mean absolutely shit, and it's all down to how they develop. I'm a prime example of how numbers don't mean quality!
