I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

@GCS34 how are you doing? Feeling a bit better yet? Let us know how the update goes, I’m sure those embryos are hanging int there!

@ttcsolomumtobe hope your collection all went well 😊 re question about pessaries on my last fresh transfer I asked the doctor and they said just continue as normal (my transfer was late morning). Although I have heard of some people taking rectally instead on day of transfer. Might be worth asking your clinic? The progesterone also made my breasts super painful as well 😳 although now I’m on a natural transfer I’m like why aren’t they sore maybe it hasn’t worked 🤣

Oh heyyyy girl @Ellenn. Thought you’d got lost being all pregnant and shit 😂😉how you feeling? Any changes down there? When is the half way point? So much luck and positive love your and your uterus’s way!!
I’m okay had a meltdown yesterday- think I needed a cry and someone I spoke to at the clinic said it could be end of NEXT month to have my FET. 😤 we’ll see. My oh said she doesn’t know what she’s talking about as she doesn’t know our personal situation.

@GCS34 its so disappointing when the clinic team don’t even tell you the same things isn’t it 😢 definitely had that before. Don’t think they realise how much it impacts us and we are so pumped full of hormones too which doesn’t help! Hope you get some clarity asap and they don’t leave you hanging. Took my clinic two weeks after my collections to tell me I would be able to do my transfer 2 months later, it was the worst wait. You just want the embryos in you like yesterday 🤣 although on the plus side you can have some wine and eat lots of soft cheese instead? I did that after it cancelled transfer and tried to think of everything you can’t do when pregnant and do it while you wait!

I’m doing ok now 5dp5dt had some mild cramps on and off so far but nothing else although it’s still super early. My official test day is on 15/08 which is so far away 🙈 definitely not even half way yet! I think if it doesn’t work my period will arrive on 10/11th though since it’s a natural cycle.

Hi all, I’m due to have my first scan for starting FET on Tuesday. Anyone else on a similar timeframe?

@GCS34 trigger went fine thank you, I'm having a few ovary pains and twinges but nothing to serious, i just feel bloated and tender today.

@Ellenn thank you for the advice, it definitely soundsmuch nicer than medicated so fingers crossed I can go down the route.

@Ellenn I know. Anyone would think it was our future they were messing with 😂🙄I think to them it’s ‘only a month away’ yet to us it’s ‘omg it’s ANOTHER month away’. Did you have a transfer booked then for them to cancel it? And yeah it’s too early I think - most people don’t feel anything at all and are pregnant so fingers crossed. I will ring them tomorrow and find out from my consultant / nursing team on time lines. Cuz we can have a holiday or something if it’s ages away. Okay so at least it’s not TOO far away. Easy for me to say 😂 least your period due isn’t that long so that’s the first step.

@GCS34 no i had to wait for my withdrawal bleed after collection which took a few weeks and then it was first cycle after that we are using (my cycles are quite long though!) I think they do like to just pull things out a bit sometimes and I wish they didn’t!

definitely recommend a holiday or even just short break as it takes your mind of constantly thinking about it! That’s true although means I’m going to be trying to look for any bit of spotting or cramping 🙈 almost wish I knew before but nevermind!

how many you got now? I don’t think I’ve been keeping up with this thread very well but suspect you might have a fair few by your scan numbers!!!

@Ellenn ahhh I see. Yeah they said for me have that bleed, then it’s HR after that for me due to pcos. So hopefully that should mean end of aug? God knows. I’m so chuffed for you tho. So you’re technically 10 days atm then as you’re 5+5. So exciting!!!

I didn’t put my numbers until I knew what we were working with and also feel bad saying when others are worried.
but I found out this AM most our stuff now. So if no one minds, I will post but PLEASE don’t compare to me as it’s not good and not reflective of grades or succes at the moment and also I’m fully broken 😂 my pcos is wild, so pros and cons.

@GCS34 ooh amazing that’s not far away!! That’s great they can do it so soon. Doesn’t make sense for them to wait for another bleed if your body naturally won’t do that!

Yes technically, no way I can test early as I’ve had ovitrelle on Friday so that gives false positives. I’m kind of glad though, sure it will be obvious enough towards the end of this week if anything is happening! I’m trying to plan wee things to do every day and seeing Barbie is on the list 😊

ah I didn’t realise! If you’d rather not share that’s fine! We know you are not the norm with the crazy crazy amount of follicles 🙈 don’t take that the wrong way!! you’ve saved them up for this cycle so I have no doubt you got loads at retrieval, and hope they are still going strong 💪

@Ellenn yeah I’d like to think so. We shall see. I’ll find out tomorrow once I hear from them with our grades / freezing stuff.

yeah that’s the trouble - hcg is in ovitrelle so you’ll just end up fooling yourself if you test. And yeah you should know in your body by Friday where things are at 😬 so much luck and love for you! Is your OH looking after you? Barbie will be great. I’ve not seen it yet but planning it for next weekend. Heard it’s utterly bonkers tho 😂

haha nah you’re right - I’m defo not normal. I’m fully broken and this is only half of it it really but yeah. Crazy broken but feeling blessed.

so they got 40 eggs, of which 39 were mature.
27 fertilised, and 18 made it to day 3.
overnight, where the main drop is (from day 3 to day 4 apparently!) 9 are really strong and nearing blastocyst and seem good quality she said. Another 8 are also still developing Just slight slow but they haven’t dropped off, Just doing so slowly so they’re keeping them going Till day 6. Find out in the AM about the 9 and their grades / status, and if any of the 8 are nearing too. Mental.

@Hopingforno2in2023 aww thanks darling. I feel bad for saying because I know a lot of people are worried but I just want to disclaimer it and say this is completely NOT the norm.

I’m well thanks :) Both relieved not to have had horrible side effects so far but also worried that means I’m not responding 😂 there is no winning!

V nervous about my CD7 scan on Tuesday. I am the opposite of you and there was concern I would produce no eggs so am desperate to see some growing follicles on Tuesday. Am staying optimistic however :)

@Hopingforno2in2023 noooo!! I totally thought that and went to my day 5 thinking it was going to be an abandon, but yeah totally was NOT the case 😅how are you finding ovaleap? I don’t find it has any side effects. I’ve had Menopur and that gave me a lot more side effects, but ovaleap not even one, and worked really well! Sending luck for your day7! Is that due to your amh or is their another reason they don’t think many will wake up?

Yes purely my AMH :) I had a good AFC for my AMH though so fingers crossed!

I am on Clomid at the moment and start Meriofert on Tuesday, I’m definitely expecting side effects once on that!

@GCS34 amazing !! Getting your own football team 😂🤣 so glad to hear you got good numbers. Have the clinic said when you are looking at FET ? Fingers crossed for your call tomorrow.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on how to prep for FET body/health wise, 24th sept seems so long away and I need something to focus on to feel like I'm doing something !!

Hi everyone. I was in the july group but life hasn’t gone to plan!
a bit about me… husband and I have unexplained infertility. Started IVF May 2022- round cancelled day before egg retrieval as I tested positive for covid. 2nd round ended in miscarriage October 22, and 3rd round ended in another miscarriage April 23. I can’t seem to get past 6/7 weeks.
next round cancelled last week as my womb lining wasn’t thickening.
waiting on my period so I can start patches rather than tablet Progynova. My body is in bits!

@Lowo21 ah ha. Not quite. We’ll see how they do tonight 😬🤞 I keep sending them positive vibes to the lab and that they’ll be moved in soon if they stick around!!

and yes PCOS is the new lip filler don’t you know! Inject them and the grow. How you getting on? Any news?

@LavenderJoy - thanks for the message. The wait for me for the FET begins now. My OHSS recovery advice says no alcohol but i've just enjoyed myself this weekend because the wait has been killing me.

@GCS34 thanks for the welcome message. Wow, your numbers are looking good it looks like you will end up with good results either way. I agree with you, the PCOS club isn't a fun one but happy to join you and @Lowo21 and to share the experience. I worry so much about the quantity over quality aspect of things. I've had my call back today and i am a bit disappointed but i have had all day to process it and i have sort of come round now. I will provide a bit of a summary of my cycle journey below (apologies it's a bit long but i've found these chronologies helpful when others have posted them) :

I had 23 eggs collected,
Day 1 call = 21 Fertilised
Day 3 call = 9 good qual embryos, 3 average and 8 poor.
Day5/6 call update today = 4 frozen. I was so disappointed when she told me. My husband had to do most of the talking i just wasn't prepared for that much of a drop.
I know it only takes 1 and now i am glad i have some to freeze at least.
What i did different to last failed cycle - reflexology and they changed my stims meds and upped my dosage.
The lady reassured me that this is normal and she said that the problem is that the doctors try to harvest as many eggs as they can but in my case they should have only harvested 14 as they were the only ones 17++ mm. Going by 14 eggs this number would make sense.

I'm with CARE and the grading is 3 @ grade 10 and 1 @ grade 7. (She said equivalent of 4BB)
She said the reason for the fail for others was to do with degenerative cells and the placenta cell starting to breakdown so there is no point in freezing them as they would likely not survive the thaw.

Additionally i started having my withdrawal bleed yesterday - 5 days after egg retrieval. I have a follow up scan to check on OHSS symptoms i think tomorrow - 7 days after.

@Lowo21 thank you! I’m doing medicated this time. I did natural FET in July so hoping medicated could make a difference this time.

I think I would just try and keep yourself healthy and well and enjoy the summer ❤️ Time moves quickly so I’m sure it will come around quick!

I had a very similar drop off to you - had I think 18 eggs collected which dropped to 4 - 1 good and 3 average. I totally wasn’t prepared for the drop off and wished I had more warning about the drop rate as in my head I thought I would come out with 8-10 and all the hormones definitely don’t help with this process from a mental perspective - I was so emotional! I think it is quite common to be honest but it’s hard and I was so emotional and on edge in that 5 day wait. Do you know when you will have transfer?

@Lowo21 i think the McDonald’s fries is connected to the salt content to reduce OHSS but I could be wrong….

@Lowo21 yea it's to do with salt, personally would risk it for the fats

@KG1244 @BebeBelle for my first cycle out of 14 eggs I only got 2 embryos! I remember it being disappointing at the time as you always hear of people with loads of embryos. The nurses told me majority of people will only get between 2-4 embryos and that’s a great result. Every embryo is a chance of a baby after all! My second cycle had much better results. Seems to be so variable between cycles 🤷‍♀️
