I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

Egg collection booked for Monday, but I have been told its going to be a freeze all cycle as my estrogen levels are at 12000 today 😫 feel a little gutted but suppose ive just got to go with it, I've got to trigger with Buserelin instead of Ovitrelle, has any used this before?

NewLife636 · 05/08/2023 15:31

Hi all,

Just joining this thread as I’m going mad on my own 🥺
I had egg collection yesterday and they retrieved 6eggs; only 4mature and out of those only 2fertilized!
After going through the google and statistics, I’m devastated… and scared!
Please do send some prayers my way and let me know if you have any success stories… 🙏🏼

I wish you all a happy BFP day 🌺

LavenderJoy · 05/08/2023 15:56

@NewLife636 it only takes 1, and I'm a big believer of quality over quantity. I hope you get your good news on your day 3 phone call, sending lots of luck!

Just had our call from the clinic and they recommended pushing for a day 5 transfer so we’ve booked in for that. Now just so nervous that we won’t have any embryos left until then, it’s not going to be a fun weekend!

@Helene2019 hope you get some good news today.

@ttcsolomumtobe hope your egg collection went ok yesterday and you’ve been feeling ok.

@IVF23 great news they’re gonna push them to day 5. They wouldn’t do that if they didn’t think they’d make it, so I’d take the positive that they think they’re going to keep dividing! Doesn’t help with th anxiety I know. Is Monday tf day then?

My clinic rang this morning and we weren’t meant to have an update today so me and my DH looked at one another like ‘shit, that’s not good!!’ Turns out they were Jusy ringing me to check how I was and how my ohss was after my ‘bumper crop’ as she put it 😂 the relief honestly o thought she was ringing to say none of them made it to day 3!! 🙈

I know it is easy to say @NewLife636 but of the 2 fertilised, they could be really strong and be great grade 5AA. One thing I’ve found is comparing to someone else’s journey is counterproductive as everyone’s different. And 2 eggs for me could mean totally different to 2 eggs for you. Just be kind to yourself this weekend and have a wine while you wait for the call.

GCS34 · 05/08/2023 17:54

scaredynoob · 04/08/2023 22:00

One sec, having wine is an option????? Why have I been abstaining since I started my meds 😵‍💫 I wish I had joined this group earlier to have gotten the idea that I should plan a holiday for the wait!!!! Have you all planned something nice? ☺️

@scaredynoob hahaha nooooo not while stimming!! That’s defo not allowed. I also gave up sugar, caffeine, processed food and the gym, but wine once you’ve done stimming and have those juicy eggs out of you, then I don’t think a wine will hurt 😉

Lowo21 · 05/08/2023 18:03

@GCS34 definitely agree! As soon as AF arrived I was like "I think I have earned a glass of wine!"

Have found that TFP are super good at checking up on you. I had a haematoma on my cannula site and they saw me the same day back in the clinic no hesitation. We are so lucky with them.

I can't remember who but I know a number of you had fresh transfers tomorrow... good luck and fingers crossed for you all !

@LavenderJoy I had burserelin and the injection was uncomfortable but no major side effects - tenderness around the injection site but that's it

LavenderJoy · 05/08/2023 19:04

@Lowo21 thank you! I must admit I am looking forward to it being my last injection for a while haha.

@Lowo21 there was me thinking I was the only one drinking wine in the wait 👀

wow that is good! How is it how? It all healed? What did they do for it? They were lush on the phone but my OH did shit myself and think they’d all stopped developing. She was like no just wondered how you were 😂🙈

@LavenderJoy i had that too like lowo21 (cuz, obviously we had the same cuz we’re twinning) and I didn’t have any issues either. I only had 2ml - not sure what they’ve given you to do? All I’d say is do it slowly (or get your OH to) as it’s quite thick consistency and slow is easier to go in. But yeah it doesn’t hurt, didn’t have any effects and only the morning of my EC I felt sore boobs etc but assume that was my body gearing up to get those eggs out of me!! Good luck. Is it collection Monday?

LavenderJoy · 05/08/2023 20:18

@GCS34 thank you for the tips, yes collection planned for Monday morning, and trigger this evening, exciting but feeling nervous too, eek!

scaredynoob · 05/08/2023 20:54

Hi all, I'm so embarrassed to say I am delayed in taking my trigger by 60m. I'm very anxious and stressed.

Jellyfish1956 · 05/08/2023 21:11

Hi @scaredynoob did you call your clinic to let them know?

ttcsolomumtobe · 05/08/2023 21:13

@scaredynoob hope you are okay. I would call your clinic asap to see if they can adjust your EC time. I don't know what guidance your clinic give around it but mine states if it's not administered at that time your EC could be cancelled, not trying to worry you but this is why I would urge you to call them and see what can be sorted rather than turn up on the day and hope it's okay

scaredynoob · 05/08/2023 21:21

So my EC is scheduled for 7.30am on Monday morning. And I was supposed to take the trigger at 7.30pm today. And I ended up taking it at 8.30pm.. :-(

Loulaki · 05/08/2023 21:29

@scaredynoob Def call your clinic to tell them as it would be good for them to know what's happened before EC day. Also not sure if it helps but my trigger is scheduled for 8.30pm and then my egg collection is for 7.30am the day after. So some clinics seem to have a different timeframe?

@LavenderJoy oh so exciting. Remind me - How many follies did you have at your last scan yesterday? Good luck!!! I am almost envious you’ve got the excitement building up to it and the amazing sleep on Monday to come! 😂

ttcsolomumtobe · 05/08/2023 22:42

Slightly embarrassing question but can I just ask, anyone who is using progrestone.... I know sore boobs is a symptom but since starting my pessaries yesterday I have woken up with the most painful and firm nipples, to the point the mt super soft bra, comfy of all comfy is rubbing them 😯 have had to use the gel icepacks I had for injection to try ease them. Is this normal and does your body get used to the progesterone and ease up after a bit or will it be like this till the pessaries stop?

maygodbless · 06/08/2023 01:28

Mark the post. Hi every one. I'm in the middle of stim, expecting the egg retrieval in the middle of next week but depends on the scan next Monday. I did my night injection 1 hour late (usually at 7pm but I forgot and did it at 7:55pm). Worrying and can't fall asleep at 1:26am even though I took 2.5ml melatonin at about 10pm.
Keep talking about this and that moms. I will come to read the threads every day as venting.

ttcsolomumtobe · 06/08/2023 05:47

@maygodbless my understanding from what the nurse said for my injections is that the only one needing to be exact is the trigger. My night one was bemfola, the one to help growth, mine was suggested between 7-9pm and if possible around the same time if possible but within that window is fine. Hope this helps

ttcsolomumtobe · 06/08/2023 06:07

Sorry, a pessary related question, mine are vaginal only and 3 times a day since EC. Does anyone know what you do about taking them on the day off transfer? Would you delay it till after or still go ahead as normal?

BebeBelle · 06/08/2023 08:15

Hi All,

Can I please join you ladies? It seems as though I'm in the same boat as some of you.
My last cycle was abandoned after 12 days of stims as I was non responsive. I was so nervous about this one.

I had egg collection Monday 31st July. I have PCOS, so it's a freeze all for me due to mild OHSS. They collected 23 eggs. 20 fertilised on day 1 and another one later apparently. It's day 6 today and that's when I get the last call on how many they froze on day 5 and how many on day 6. I'm also going mad with waiting and not sure what I should be doing to prepare my body at this stage.

I wish you all the best. Has anyone done a freeze all because of OHSS. What is was you timeline like to have the FET? x

LavenderJoy · 06/08/2023 08:34

@GCS34 they are hoping for around 10/12 to collect, so not sure why my oestrogen levels are so high and had to freeze all, as know some of you on here have had 20+

@ttcsolomumtobe those progesterone symptoms are completely normal, I felt they got more intense as they built up in my system, but super painful boobs is definitely thanks to the progesterone, it's a killer lol!

@BebeBelle that's the same as me, freeze all, but haven't had my timeline yet either, good luck!

Has anyone on here had a natural FET? And did you do fully natural or use a trigger etc? Also if for any reason it didn't go ahead that month i.e missed ovualtion etc, do you usually have to pay for the cycle again?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just thinking I might try a natural next time and speak to the clinic about it as I've had 2 failed medicated FETs and I don't think my body likes all the meds, and I have regular 28 day cycles so hoping they will say yes.

Morning @BebeBelle! Welcome to the shit PCOS club with me and @Lowo21! we both had to have a freeze all cuz of ohss risks and the number they collected.
Great that you had a nice healthy number fertilise. That’s the silver lining to pcos I think - shit we have to do a freeze all and are very high risk of ohss, but good in that we should get a nice crop!! I’m waiting for my day 3 call today. I’ve had my fertilise #s just waiting for day 3 update.

I think everyone is different on the timeline front. I’ve been told 2 things - 1 is have my period then they’ll do my bloods and check my estrogen, then if back to normal, start building back up again for TF end of the month. But also another said it will be next month - after my first natural period, but as you know, pcos means no bloody natural periods for months /years!
have you asked them? Maybe ask on your day 5 update call today?

How’d you find the trigger @LavenderJoy

Ellenn · 06/08/2023 08:59

@BebeBelle hey 👋 I had my cycle back in may and ended up with OHSS so was a freeze all I’ve had to wait 8 weeks before doing transfer (so had withdrawal bleed and then the next period/cycle arranged transfer). I know others though that don’t have to wait as long so worthwhile asking your clinic! Those are great numbers though, fingers crossed you have some embryos in there. It’s the worst waiting on the phone calls 😳

@LavenderJoy I’m currently on natural frozen transfer cycle. I had natural ovulation and just used ovulation tests, once positive phoned clinic and had scan 4 days after positive test to check lining. I then got given ovitrelle to take a few times before/on day of/after transfer as it helps lining develop and improve outcomes. I think different clinics may have different ways of monitoring but I found it much less stressful and less medication (and no pessaries!) so I much preferred it to medicated 😊
