Hello!

Just wanted to start a thread and see if anyone was going ahead with a transfer in July.

I've just had my nurse consult and hoping to have my second FET in July (my first was successful in Jan 2021 and I had my wonderful DD).

The first time around I was of course beyond nervous, excited, terrified it wouldn't work etc. This time it feels like that's doubled! I'm a private patient so I've saved everything for this but should it fail, it'll be a long long time before I could afford to try again.

To add some nerves, I'd need to be cycle day one no later than the 6th July to go ahead, as my clinic is moving locations. I'm currently due on the 5th...! So every chance it's moved to a Sept cycle.

Would be nice to have some company!

:)

@Caroline2023 You’re on your way! How are you feeling about starting stims tomorrow?

@Walker12 I was sore the day after, pretty sore the day after that. I was walking VERY slowly. I was ok by day 4 though. If you’re worried, have a word with your clinic for peace of mind. Hope you feel better soon.

Stims scan no 3 this morning and I’ve started by falling down the stairs. Bloody typical! Plus, I have an insane amount of EWCM. Surely I should be ready. If I hadn’t done this before I’d be worrying about ovulation happening!

AnaS86 · 21/07/2023 08:29

@Walker12 Ive had a similar experience but today it's finally feeling a lot better (collection was on Monday) so there is hope. I had a moment on Wednesday where it was so sore I nearly called the clinic. It's still a bit tender today, but nothing like it was.

AnaS86 · 21/07/2023 08:29

@Lauralozzle I had so so so much EWCM. It meant frequent underwear changes!

Walker12 · 21/07/2023 08:29

@Lauralozzle thank you, I think I will see how I feel today and then maybe call them later on if it's still bad. I'm wondering if it's partly the cyclogest too after reading what other have said about that causing bloating/discomfort! I feel a bit guilty being off work but I know its more improtant to recover and I wouldn't be much use today. Just really want to be in good shape for Sunday.
Oh I'm so sorry you've fallen!! What a nightmare- hope you are OK. Hope you get good news at your scan and those follicles are growing nicely 🤞

Walker12 · 21/07/2023 08:31

Thanks @AnaS86 that's reassuring, I'm just going to rest and only do bits of gentle movement today. I am not super active or anything but I usually struggle to sit still so it's hard! Browsing netflix currently. Have you called the clinic yet about tomorrow?

Caroline2023 · 21/07/2023 08:56

Thanks @Walker12 @ttcsolomumtobe and @Lauralozzle
I’m feeling really nervous about it all now it’s so real! This is my first round so I’m trying to go in with realistic expectations whilst trying to not be too negative!

ttcsolomumtobe · 21/07/2023 09:06

@Caroline2023 I think that's a good way to see it, I definitely feel like that with it being with ABC due to them just doing the mild. Can feel a hard balance between being realistic without sounding negative. It reassured me a little more to know that they only give the same level of drugs even for egg sharing and you need to get atleast 8 eggs for egg sharing, so the medication levels can produce good numbers. Are you due a scan at day 5?

Also does your clinic operate as normal on a Sunday? Mine advise they don't do egg collection on Tuesday or Thursday to avoid transferring on a Sunday but if an egg collection had to be done on a Sunday they would open.

Walker12 · 21/07/2023 09:07

@Caroline2023 totally get what you mean, I've been the same as its also my first round and I'm just a few weeks ahead of you. You suddenly have to learn so much in such a short space of time!! If it helps, the stims were no way near as bad as I expected and you quickly get used to the routine of them.
Also with you in trying to have a realistic but positive attitude 😊

wtawtaw · 21/07/2023 10:17

@orchid29 @TheBirdintheCave @Olivia199 @Caroline2023 @ttcsolomumtobe @Walker12 thank you so much ladies! Was lovely to wake up to such support 🥰

I got my bfp at 4:15am this morning, we are in such a happy shock! Couldn't believe what I was seeing! A long way to go of course but this is the furthest we've ever got.

My clinic said to now stop progesterone pessaries now (whether pregnant or not). Was taking 3 a day. The stopping scares me a little but they reassure me that taking them won't prevent a miscarriage, it will just prolong the bleeding of one if that's going to happen. Does anyone else's clinic say to stop on OTD?

@Caroline2023 hope stims start off well tomorrow 😊 is this your first round?

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 10:19

@wtawtaw That's a fantastic line! Congratulations!!! 😬 How many dpt are you now? My clinic says to take the pessaries until 8 weeks I think.

Walker12 · 21/07/2023 10:37

Yay!! Huge congrats @wtawtaw that's a lovely strong line!

Lauralozzle · 21/07/2023 10:50

@wtawtaw Congratulations! Excellent line! Lots of positive results on this thread which is excellent to see.

Had my scan this morning. I’m pretty much very nearly ready. Trigger will be tomorrow and egg collection will be Monday. I didn’t have to buy more gonal f as I have 150iu of meriofert left so they said use that tonight. I’ll get a call later with times for egg collection and trigger.

I have 3 follicles at 18, 2 at about 16 and one at about 15 then a smaller one about 13 so hopefully the six bigger ones will be good for Monday. Hoping the 150iu meriofert helps the smaller ones grow a bit more!

I’m hoping for 6 eggs. Less than before, but hopefully more than 2 will fertilise! Although I’m getting a bit ahead of myself!

Bristol1988 · 21/07/2023 10:54

@wtawtaw amazing!!!!! Big congratulations 🩷🩷 are you walking round in a happy bubble?

@Olivia199 how are you feeling today?

Bristol1988 · 21/07/2023 10:56

The progesterone bloat is reeeeal. Had to size up my scrubs to make it comfortable at work and only so many times I can use the “time of the month bloat” excuse. And my boobs are huge & sore.

SH998 · 21/07/2023 11:03

@wtawtaw massive congratulations, what a strong line :) My clinic advises to continue taking them until 10/12 weeks into pregnancy.

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 11:10

@Lauralozzle Fingers crossed for you for getting a good egg haul on Monday! :D

@SH998 How are you feeling this morning? :)

@wtawtaw Just noticed your question from earlier. No bloat for me which is surprising as I definitely had that with the Cyclogest but not with this Lutigest.

SH998 · 21/07/2023 11:23

@TheBirdintheCave I'm feeling good thanks, no real symptoms yet which I've been assured is normal but you still you cant help but worry. I'm being a lot more cautious this time around. I suffered a miscarriage from my first IVF transfer last year so I'm well aware that even now nothing is guaranteed. I'm doing my best to stay level headed and not give myself a heart attack lol.
How are you feeling?

@Lauralozzle excellent news, good luck for Monday.

Again, good luck to everyone on stims, due a transfer or in the TWW, I've not been on a thread that moves as fast as this one and cant keep up :)

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 11:40

@SH998 I'm ok. I'm having my usual early pregnancy symptoms (nausea, IBS is worse than usual, hot flushes, waking up stupidly early) so that's reassuring as the one time I didn't really was the blighted ovum pregnancy. You're right about there being no guarantees. It's horrible how miscarriage makes us so worried and paranoid. I'm sorry for your loss by the way :(

A happier question: when is your due date? I'm March 30th I think.

wtawtaw · 21/07/2023 12:05

Thank you all!

@TheBirdintheCave I'm 11dp5dt today. I see you due date is 30/03, all being well, mine would be 27/03!

@Lauralozzle good luck for egg collection on Monday!!

@Bristol1988 I certainly am! Can't stop smiling but then a lot can happen in these early weeks so I have to remind myself of that and not to get too excited.

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 12:08

@wtawtaw Exciting times ahead I hope! :D

SH998 · 21/07/2023 12:24

@TheBirdintheCave good to hear your having symptoms, sometimes this makes it feel more real to you. As I'm not experiencing much right now its like I'm not even pregnant. I didn't start getting symptoms on my last pregnancy until the week after the positive test testing so this one might follow the same pattern. My test is a lot darker this time than last time at this stage so I'm hoping this is a stronger pregnancy.
Is this your first transfer? Sorry if you've said this previously as I joined later than some others.
My due date is 30th March too :)

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 12:27

@SH998 Yes our first transfer :) We have a son conceived naturally (eventually and against all odds) and then had two MMCs last year so decided to go for IVF in the hopes of avoiding that again.

SH998 · 21/07/2023 12:37

@TheBirdintheCave sorry to hear about your previous losses. Lets hope this pregnancy is the one to give your a little boy a sibling :)

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2023 12:43

@SH998 I really hope so. I was saying to my husband last night that I just want to have our second child and then forget all about TTC ever again.

ASGIRC · 21/07/2023 12:44

My cheap tests arrived today!

After my first pee, but I plan on testing before I leave for work.

Just to see if the trigger is still there, as there is zero chance of an actual positive at 2dpt!
