Hello!

Just wanted to start a thread and see if anyone was going ahead with a transfer in July.

I've just had my nurse consult and hoping to have my second FET in July (my first was successful in Jan 2021 and I had my wonderful DD).

The first time around I was of course beyond nervous, excited, terrified it wouldn't work etc. This time it feels like that's doubled! I'm a private patient so I've saved everything for this but should it fail, it'll be a long long time before I could afford to try again.

To add some nerves, I'd need to be cycle day one no later than the 6th July to go ahead, as my clinic is moving locations. I'm currently due on the 5th...! So every chance it's moved to a Sept cycle.

Would be nice to have some company!

Did you push for a transfer in the end? Have everything crossed you has some lovely D3 embryos xx

@Jellyfish1956 im still waiting to hear! Not had phonecall yet. I’m trying to hold onto no news is good news but still feel so sick waiting on it! I’m praying they are still going strong. Not decided what we will do yet about pushing for a transfer, will wait and see how things are going.

@Lauralozzle glad to hear scan went well and you are responding to meds. So frustrating though when there’s no real answer to why things aren’t straightforward or look a bit different!

@21C fingers crossed they call soon. I know how painfully nervous it is waiting for that call!

@Jellyfish1956 they just called and said both have progressed one 6 cell and one 8 cell. She has graded them and one is 3 and the other is 4 so I don’t think they are the best quality. Don’t know what to think. Part of me wants to get the 8 cell transferred today but don’t know if I’m just being hasty

Hi everyone, i’m very late joining this thread. i just had my FET today (second attempt) and now starting the dreaded 2ww and found this thread, so i hope i’m not too late to join!

@21C great news! On Day 3 they should be between 6-8 so they have both made it. The scoring system on day three is a little backward and a 4 is actually the best quality and 1 the worst (this can vary depending on the clinic but it's normally that way round). So a score of 4 and 3 is good!
It's so tricky - on the one hand you want it back to give yourself a chance but on the other hand you want to know if it's going to make it to a blastocyst. Have they said anything about your OHSS?

@Jellyfish1956 I’m just praying they hold on somehow. Everything you hear about the drop off between day3 and day5 terrifies me with only 2 left!

That’s what I keep thinking, I would feel so much better having it back with me but saying that; our last cycle we transferred a day 3 6 cell (the only thing we had left) and it didn’t stick so do we just wait it out and try something different this time? They said initially when 20 eggs were collected that OHSS was a risk and gave me blood thinning injections to take for 10 days but I feel fine and 20 is right on the cusp for my clinic so have a feeling it’s just a pre caution. My husband is against any early transfer as he doesn’t think risking OHSS is worth it, he’s just worried about me bless him. They did say they would let me do a day5 fresh transfer if neither of the embryos were suitable for freezing by then so wondering if I should try and wait it out.

@21C glad to hear 2 have made it, if you want one transferring when would you have to approach the clinic by? My clinic insist that if they are good quality at day 3 then one is placed back inside.

So few but very different and important options. I hope you manage to make a choice that you feel okay with.

@21C Fingers crossed for you! We also had a huge drop off from eggs collected to fertilised (not as much as you but I was super taken aback as well when they called) but then far more than expected made it to say 5.

@ttcsolomumtobe thank you! i did this one under sedation because my last one was incredibly painful and difficult and quite traumatising tbh. This time was so much better but the sedation is still leaving me a bit groggy!

@Olivia199 Oh no!!! Stomach bug is the last thing you need!! Hope you feel better soon!

Just had an email from my clinic postponing my transfer to 12pm on Wednesday. Its a bit tight for my starting work at 2pm schedule, but Ill work it out.

On another note, Im completely done with these pessaries... What a pain they are!!! Constantly leaking, I feel like I have thrush, but without the itching!!!

@21C That’s good news! I’m glad they’re holding up.

Clinic have called. I’m increasing my Gonal F from 150 to 225. Meriofert stays at 75. Hopefully they grow some more. I was ready really early last time on 300 ovaleap, can’t help but think I might start responding really quickly with the increase but I’ll trust them. They know best. Next scan on Wednesday.

@ASGIRC - I've got to admit, I'm not thrilled with my lot here. I HAAAATE feeling sick, let alone the continuous being sick. Managed to keep some water down now so hopefully by tomorrow I'll be feeling fine. DD has escaped when literally everyone else went down with it. But she's now obviously been in close contact with my mum and me who have both been really bad, so I'm fearing the worst and setting up our sick bucket for the night...

Urgh the pesseries are grim!! I crawled from the bathroom to the bedroom to put one in between voms earlier. Probably a new low for me. 😂

@Lauralozzle - Glad to hear things are going okay with the scans and hopefully the increase gets them all looking primed and ready for you!

Now trying to Google as to whether this bug is likely to have any impact on transfer. Hopefully not as I'll be 48 hours clear by then but still...

@orchid29 welcome! Got everything crossed for you in what will no doubt be the longest 2 weeks of life!! Highly recommend all versions of the traitors tv show on bbciplayer (uk the best though). The Australian version has somehow got me through today!

@Olivia199 god you’ve had a rough time with the bug as well as going through this! What a rough time. Google is my weakness too but trying to stay away!

as distracted as I’ve tried to be I’ve also had a couple of teary moments today after doom scrolling Google day 3 - day 5 drop. I am petrified, going to end up getting myself in a right state! Husband trying to comfort but he’s very much of the mindset we can’t do anything about it we just need to wait and see. I wish I could be like that!

@21C - It hasn't been my favourite addition to the time, I'll admit! Though the nausea has just about passed and the progesterone is making me HUNGRY.

Oh I'm so sorry you've felt so wobbly today. It really is so so hard. I have a few people in my life of the "there's nothing we can do so we just need to try not to worry" outlook and
.. I am not that person! If it helps at all, I had a decent drop from collection to day 3 but all my day 3 made it!

Argh hope the sickness bug goes away quickly olivia!

@wtawtaw im feeling ok - trying to not overanalyse this time as last time I drove myself really crazy with it. Grade wise it was a 1,2 hatching, but the previous one was 1,1 and didn’t work out so not sure how much i trust these scales! When was your transfer?

@Olivia199 I hope you feel better soon and that your DD doesn’t get it. Nothing worse than having a sick kid when you yourself feel terrible!

@21C thanks for the recommendation! Watching weirdly addictive tv is my go to coping mechanism!

I have just bought some cheap pregnancy tests from someone on a different board! Even though Im planning on waiting until my hCG test! But just in case I cant, I wont be spending loads of money on one (in the pharmacies here you can only really find Clearblue ones, which arent the cheapest!)

@ASGIRC - Right?! Is this some sort of karma? Feeling better this morning thank you. Going to tentatively explore some toast.
