Create Fertility - Experiences

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

@Doxy21 how are you? Will you be restarting soon?

Not sure anyone found their AF was late or not following natural modified or mild ivf? I've still got a week or so to go but am just wondering if it may end up being quite late. Just want to get through these egg collections now 🙈

@Sunflower360 I don't really start with many given my low ovarian reserve so I was just glad there were a few of the size they'd be hoping for! I still have the fear after the second cycle being cancelled at the first scan!

My period came quite early after my first cycle, but everyone is different and I think it can maybe delay it too. Did they send you meds for all 3 cycles when you started cycle 1 so you're just ready to go again with AF? X

Sunflower360 · 21/09/2023 13:26

@Jx3303 I've got pessaries and egg collection meds for 3 x cycles, but the fridge stock is delivered per cycle. Order has been placed and I'm due to receive them next week in preparation. Would be suprised if I started before they arrive, but even if I did start natural modified meds start on day 5 (or ended up being day 6 in my case) so should be ok.

@Sunflower360 ah ok yeah I was the same! Would fill the fridge if we got it all at once. I unpacked all mine from the boxes for travelling which is way less space! I'm sure you'll get the next delivery in plenty of time before your next cycle, and of course sorry I was forgetting you don't start til a little later. Enjoy the injection free few weeks that you have ahead! Xx

Sunflower360 · 21/09/2023 13:30

Thanks @Jx3303 ! And hope all goes well at your next scan

Hi @Sunflower360 my period came today (as expected based on my cycle) but feels very heavy and messy! Had my nurse appointment today and have a scan tomorrow to determine protocol. If I have 5 or less follicles we will do natural modified with tamoxifen. If 6 or more then mild ivf.

Sunflower360 · 21/09/2023 13:39

@Doxy21 ah that's good that you can start, hope it goes ok, sounds like its being tailored whichever option you end up going for

@Sunflower360 thank you!

@Doxy21 I hope AF isn't too painful along with being heavy and messy. That's great that they are going to tailor your next cycle depending on your scan tomorrow. How are you feeling about it? I hope ok xx

Doxy21 · 21/09/2023 15:26

Hi @Jx3303 i think I just have massive anxiety atm. The thought of a scan with heavy flow is upsetting me even though I’ve done it so many times before. I just want everything over with now. I feel like I don’t want to do it anymore but I have to keep going as I don’t want to regret not doing all I could at some point in the future. I do want a baby but I don’t want this sadness and anxiety. Maybe it’s just my period affecting my emotions. I feel really shit today!

Jx3303 · 21/09/2023 15:36

@Doxy21 I'm so sorry to hear that and I can completely relate to everything you've said, you are not alone. Likely your period will be heightening your emotions, in what is an already very demanding and mentally taxing time. Let your feelings out, it's absolutely ok to feel how you are feeling and I think acknowledging them and having a cry can be a little helpful. I honestly have had so many days / weeks / months where I've not thought I could go on. It's a lot and a cycle right after the last must be incredibly tough on your mind and body. Take it a day at a time and remember, you're not alone x

Doxy21 · 21/09/2023 15:48

Thank you @Jx3303 🙂 I’m might have felt less crap if it has been ok last time. I guess we shall see what tomorrow brings!

Jx3303 · 21/09/2023 16:14

@Doxy21 I know, an abandoned / unsuccessful cycle really does make you dread the next, the novelty soon wears off doesn't it and getting going is more just to get it over and done with. I feel that way too. Every cycle is different so try and go into it with a "this is new" mindset - however I know how hard that is and I really have to remind myself of that when I'm sitting there anxiously waiting and worrying about the worst happening xx

Doxy21 · 21/09/2023 16:21

Thanks @Jx3303 im just being a grumpy pants! How are you? Do you start stimming tomorrow?

Jx3303 · 21/09/2023 16:24

@Doxy21 not at all. I really do get it, I think we all do. Stimming started on Day 2 for me which was Monday, as I'm doing mild ivf. I must just have been on the threshold for that as my afc is pretty low. I added Cetrotide this morning after my scan. That injection is the more daunting one for me with the mixing, especially when I'm doing them myself away from home but I just need to take my time and not overthink it xx

Doxy21 · 21/09/2023 16:34

@Jx3303 i was wondering how you are coping with being away from home. Are you doing ok? When is partner and pups joining?

Jx3303 · 21/09/2023 16:40

@Doxy21 I'm ok, this is the second time I've done it. It was never the original plan for me to come alone for the first few days, first cycle we both came the whole time and it went super smoothly. But after the cancelled second cycle we were worried it would happen again and we'd lose money! Its costly coming down for 9 nights. Now I'm here I'm ok, my OH supervises me doing meds on FaceTime and the fact I'm staying somewhere cheap for 3 nights means we've two really lovely airbnbs for the remaining 6 nights. It's guesswork with egg collection but both times it's been day 12 so hopefully same! OH and pup come Saturday! I went a walk this afternoon and spoke to a mother and daughter and their dog so that helped me with missing mine! X

Doxy21 · 21/09/2023 16:41

Awwww @Jx3303 sounds like you’ve planned it out well!

Sunflower360 · 21/09/2023 21:05

@Doxy21 hope you're ok. Try, and I now it's hard, to not worry too much about the last cycle. Each cycle can be so different and this next one could work out absolutely fine for you. I had an abandoned cycle and then only 2 mature eggs/failed fertilisation in the 2nd cycle in Spring with the NHS. It does feel with each cycle and different approaches things can vary quite a lot.
