Create Fertility - Experiences

1000 replies

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

@Doxy21 sorry if you already said, but did they confirm if you had a cyst this cycle or not?

Doxy21 · 09/09/2023 13:27

@Sunflower360 they didn’t mention it again after the first scan so must have disappeared or not been a cyst 🤷🏽‍♀️

HopefulElle · 10/09/2023 00:05

@MeadowMouse wishing you the very best of luck with your transfer! Reassuring to know I’m not the only one who thinks this way - I think I need to get to ‘the end’ of trying before I can know how I feel and honestly contemplate donor eggs as an option. It’s so against my nature, as a meticulous planner, but trying to take one step at a time.

Woodcottage1 · 11/09/2023 13:43

Unfortunately it didn’t continue and my bloods are back. Generally horrendous but I’m going back on the supplements :( x

Jx3303 · 11/09/2023 13:54

@Woodcottage1 I'm so sorry to read your update, sending lots of love to you. It's such a very difficult journey xx

Doxy21 · 11/09/2023 17:12

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that @Woodcottage1 😞 I wish I had some words of wisdom to help but I know it’s just such an awful situation x

Sunflower360 · 11/09/2023 23:30

So sorry to hear this @Woodcottage1 Was this confirmed as a chemical through the blood tests?

OP posts:
HopefulElle · 13/09/2023 07:49

So sorry to hear that @Woodcottage1 xx

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 08:32

Sending love @Woodcottage1 I hope you're doing ok 🩷

@HopefulElle @Doxy21 how are you both?

I had my call with the consultant on Monday where I confirmed we want to PGT-A all embryos. He's decided for cycle 3 he's going to up the meds a little from 150ui bemfola to 225ui. He said it's a numbers game, might make a difference might not but worth a try and they will closely monitor as always. Meds should arrive today and cycle is due to start Sunday but could be any day. @Sunflower360 remind me when do you start? Xx

Sunflower360 · 13/09/2023 08:36

@Jx3303 that sounds really positive, sorry if you have already said, are you on mild IVF? I have started and egg collection is on Friday, managed to have a few decent sized follicles (3 so far, hopefully they'll be ok to extract on the day) and some tiny ones.... whether they have eggs in them though is yet to be seen

@Sunflower360 so sorry! I thought you had but couldn't quite remember. How are you feeling and getting on? Hope you've found all the staff lovely and been taken care of. Yeah mild IVF, first two cycles were 150ui which i got quite a good outcome with embryo wise given my low ovarian reserve. That's great you've got three good sized follicles! So trigger today? Xx

Doxy21 · 13/09/2023 08:47

Oooh this sounds good @Jx3303 - I’m glad they are tailoring for you! I’ve got my call with the consultant today to debrief after our disaster no egg cycle and to work out what to do next

Doxy21 · 13/09/2023 08:49

@Sunflower360 amazing! If you’ve got at least 3 follicles I’m sure at least 1 will have an egg! I imagine all 3 will. I think it’s rare not to. I was just super unlucky.

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 09:07

@Doxy21 I guess as it's the last cycle it's worth a try! I've been quite lucky with the eggs to embryos ratio in the last 2 cycles. However I also had an NHS cycle where I got no eggs and it was so upsetting so I completely know how it feels. I'm glad you've got your call with the consultant today, hopefully you will have a new plan soon. Remind me - which cycle number was that for you? So sorry - it's hard to keep up xx

Doxy21 · 13/09/2023 09:32

Hi @Jx3303 that was cycle 1 of 3 with create but I had 2 cycles (plus an abandoned cycle and an iui) at CRGH - at Crgh I got 100% fertilisation on both rounds. With 2 embryos from 4 mature eggs.

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 10:06

@Doxy21 it's so difficult when things don't go as planned or hoped isn't it. So many of us have rollercoasters of ups and downs during IVF, I don't think anyone truly understands how it feels unless they've been there. Hopefully the consultant will have some advice going forward and a new plan - what I've found is that with create it does feel very tailored, they definitely don't seem to think like some with a "one size fits all" xx

Doxy21 · 13/09/2023 10:29

Thanks @Jx3303 im interested to see what they say. They have been very good with arranging a follow up. Hubby is joining the call as I think he will remember to ask more things. I’m also hoping to get a refund for the ICSI that we didn’t use. They are reviewing apparently.

Sunflower360 · 13/09/2023 11:25

Thanks @Doxy21 @Jx3303 follicle sizes were 10,14,15,18 (there were also a few at 6). I'm hoping the 14 and 15 get bigger following the stims last night as trigger is this evening but will just have to see. Not sure how big they need to be to possibly have an egg in them?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 13/09/2023 11:28

@Doxy21 hope your review goes ok. And @Jx3303 hope you have a good round. I'm wondering if I should have tried mild now as yhis could just be a month I recruited more follicles, as the cycle earlier this year I only had 1 lead follicle and 1 medium sized follicle.

Staff and nurses have been really good at the clinic very helpful, so all good so far!

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 13/09/2023 11:41

Also did any of you have a double trigger?

OP posts:
Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 12:02

@Doxy21 glad hubby is joining! It's hard to remember questions and everything, I've done the last two calls myself and have written lots and lots of notes! I hope you can get a refund for the icsi not used too!

@Sunflower360 that's great! They will drain whatever they can I'm pretty sure, and they can still continue to grow before collection. I did double trigger both cycles and will be this next one as well. Every month is different isn't it, but it sounds like you've responded well this cycle and I'm sure there will be scope for change next cycle should you need / want to xx

Sunflower360 · 13/09/2023 12:26

@Jx3303 thanks. How many follicles/sizes were yours?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 13/09/2023 12:38

Hi @Sunflower360 those figured are great! Yes I had double trigger

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 12:44

@Sunflower360 I'm not actually sure - I tried not to pay too much attention and just trusted the Drs. I did however have a 17mm follicle at my first scan of cycle 1 which meant we spent the whole time trying to keep that one but for the others to catch up. That cycle all 4 they hoped for had eggs, 3 fertilised and became embryos. Cycle 2 I went to collection with 2 around the size they wanted and both had eggs and resulted in embryos. Xx

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 12:47

@Sunflower360 ah I found a message I'd sent my friend where I'd said I thought I had a 19,17,15 and 14 the scan day that I got told to trigger for collection (that was cycle 1) x
