Create Fertility - Experiences

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

@Sunflower360 I triggered on CD14 for egg collection CD15. Think stims were about day 7ish but not sure..

Doxy21 · 06/09/2023 21:27

@Sunflower360 thanks. I think 18mm. The others were all like 8mm. I think maybe we should have tried mild as got 3 follicles with mild last time but only 1 below average 5 day blast so we will see if this gets go blast and the quality

Sunflower360 · 06/09/2023 21:35

Thanks @HopefulElle @Doxy21 that is good, yes be good to see how this one does quality wise. When you have your follow up you could suggest mild for the 2nd round perhaps, depending on how you feel this round went?

@Sunflower360 yes I will ask :)

Doxy21 · 06/09/2023 22:55

So i did my trigger. The video create sent me about how to use it was a video by Ivi - which is the other clinic I looked into as they offered a payment plan. The impression I got is they are new in England but big in Europe and supposedly v good but I didn’t know enough about them to go with them. I wonder if create and Ivi are linked somehow, hence the payment plans or if create has just stolen their IP!

Doxy21 · 07/09/2023 08:51

@reen80 thats interesting as they also operate an Ivi clinic in London and the data on hfea was scarce because they hadn’t been around long

Sunflower360 · 07/09/2023 09:06

That's interesting @Doxy21 !

@Doxy21 are you having ICSI?

Hi @Sunflower360 yes, we are

Sunflower360 · 07/09/2023 13:44

Same here @Doxy21

Also just a bump up in case there is anyone else out there on MN who is currently or previously been with Create. Good to hear experiences 😊

Hi I recall a question on private prescription previously: I was told it would be £50 per prescription by the patient coordinator, we had our treatment consultation today and the nurse said it doesnt cost a thing so do ask your nurse (not the admin people) if that's the route you want to take. They also said Asda are the cheapest. The pharmacy Create use (Fertility2U) failed me on the last 2 cycles - almost did not deliver the meds on time had I not rung to chase.

Sunflower360 · 07/09/2023 15:31

@VSRCM that's good to know. So far Fertility2U have been ok for me...got next day delivery on a Saturday so it was all good on this occasion.

Are you having another cycle with Create?

Have you had the private prescription and not been charged? The person who scanned me told me I need more gonal f for stimming longer but I won’t need to pay for it. Obviously reception put it through and you do need to pay for it (it gets taken off your credit if you are with duologi)

VSRCM · 08/09/2023 06:41

They can’t put extra charge on your credit agreement. The amount is stated in the agreement, if they do pretty sure that’s a breach of contract! I was given some meds by a nurse in my first cycle and wasn’t charged for those. Subsequently in my second cycle, I was given meds by a receptionist and she later emailed me to pay. It’s all very inconsistent the way I see it.. I’d rather have a nurse appointment as the admin people have not been great.

VSRCM · 08/09/2023 06:42

I haven’t had the prescription yet, guess I’ll find out in Oct!

Doxy21 · 08/09/2023 10:13

So natural modified was not the one for me. The one follicle had no egg. That’s the first collection (I’ve had 2 others elsewhere) where I haven’t had any eggs. The others have resulted in embryos both cycles. I’m going to ask to do mild. Hope you are all doing good :)

Doxy21 · 08/09/2023 10:16

@VSRCM the agreement is for x amount but your meds aren’t all delivered for the 3 cycles at once and you are, for example, paying for a quote for transfer meds and might not get that far. So the rest of the meds are ‘credit’ til used

VSRCM · 08/09/2023 10:22

Oh I wasn't aware of that. My first cycle was with the credit company but they never charged me for the additional meds. Or if they did we were not notified. The second one we paid in full (for 2 cycle-upgrade), and they asked for payment for additional meds via email or phone call after my appointment.

Sunflower360 · 08/09/2023 10:31

Sorry to hear that @Doxy21 Hope you're ok. The follcile was a decent size though no, were they able to explain what may have happened? My follicles appear to have had no progress so far, started stims last night so will see what my bloods are doing. I appear to have 2 x 8mm, 1 x 7mm and 1 x 6mm...that was what they were on Weds too so will see what happens next week. Not starting cetrotide as yet, next scan is CD 10 so if I do start it will be later

HopefulElle · 08/09/2023 10:38

Just had first scan of what I was hoping would be my second cycle (first collected one and froze high quality embryo day 3, next cycle was cancelled on day 1 due to low estrogen).
On my first cycle, I had 2 follicles at <6mm on day one scan, and was quite a ‘slow grower’ from there (day 4/5) to egg collection (day 15). Today, I had one at 12mm and one at 17mm already. Doctor said there’s a possibility that the larger one (or even both) could be a cyst, but that they can’t tell for sure unless I proceed to egg collection. He wants to discuss with the other doctors today and has taken bloods and urine (no ovulation detected from urine) and scan again tomorrow. Going to call me back later but seems there are basically 3 choices

  1. Start Cetrotide today and proceed urgently to egg collection Monday, hoping that the larger follicle is an early egg and not a cyst
  2. Leave the larger one and try to grow and collect from the 12mm
  3. Abandon this cycle altogether

I’m so confused!! Ultimately it will be my choice, but I’m hoping they can give me some more direction later on.
Has anyone had anything like this?? If you’ve had a cyst, what happened? Do they go away on their own or did you have to have it removed?

Ugh I am getting so tired of this 😔

Sunflower360 · 08/09/2023 11:26

@HopefulElle what is your follicle size, how amy do you have? Surely if they collect too early the egg may not be mature? Waiting until 12mm could be good, as once you've used your egg collection that is one 'go/cycle' done

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 08/09/2023 11:27

@Sunflower360 not all follicles have eggs in so that’s the risk of when you’re only going for one follicle on marital modified. It’s just never happened to me before.
