Create Fertility - Experiences

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

I decided not to go for testing, I’m lucky enough to have a daughter who is nearly 3 and it was ivf in cyprus. She was genetically tested and I had at 2 others that were mosaic and 2 abnormal. Research is beginning to come out that mosaics can possibly correct. By having my daughter I just feel that hopefully I’m emotionally ok if I just try these out and see what happens. My problems are advanced age, polyp on the lining not spotted for years, one ovary after my left was removed as a child. Endometriosis. I’ve latterly had just one natural pregnancy in my whole life, with about 10 years trying. This resulted in a miscarriage just before Christmas.
my results from my first round of ivf was pretty poor, and vastly improved in my second round and that was due to supplementation I believe. I’m a fan of dhea for me and acupuncture.
ive been saying I won’t do any more ivf if these three rounds don’t work, but I may go to cyprus for one last go, god knows 🙈🙈

@Woodcottage1 have to say I do agree about the testing side of things, would rather transfer them and hope for the best. I hope we get embryos through this, if we do I was hoping to put 2 in at once but not sure what people's thoughts are on that? After this chemical going through the excitement and disappointment multiple times would be exhausting if each transfer failed, but then if we only got 2 embryos then I would be reluctant to do that as it feels like a bit of gamble, just in case there were some learnings from a transfer. We would need 3 embryos, then you have at least 2 go's at transfers but of course with natural modified that might be very optimistic!

From my experience, the worse quality ones they suggested two at one go, so 6 day blastocysts. I’d go for the three rounds, go for lots of supplements, acupuncture on the run up and see what you get. If you get 3 plus then like you say, makes sense. I had an iv drip on Tuesday, filled with glutathione and vits. Also cold water swimming seems to have been good for me probably due to my endo.

Thanks @Woodcottage1 gpt the supplements, diet, acupuncture and reflexology all on the go....just need my AF to start now

@Woodcottage1 what supplements do you take?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 01/09/2023 18:27

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this @Sunflower360 i hope you’re ok xx

Doxy21 · 01/09/2023 18:28

My plan is to also put 2 back if I have enough. It was suggested at my last clinic.

Sunflower360 · 01/09/2023 18:29

I'm ok @Doxy21 , good to know conception is possible, but unfortunately chemicals can't be helped from what I understand. Just need my AF to start now so I can start with Create. How are you getting on?

I went for my day 5 scan but they thought there was a cyst so they told me not to start gonal f. At my day 7 scan all was fine so I started gonal f. They said at my day 9 scan I would start cetrotide. Today was my day 9 scan and there has been no follicle growth since day 7 despite 2 days of stims. So I now have another scan on day 12 which I guess might be when I start cetrotide or abandon I guess. I will need to buy more gonal f. I really needed to avoid egg collection on Thursday next week so maybe the delay is in my interests. I don’t want to abandon though as I think that’s then £600 plus the wasted £390 meds. Im hoping stimming for longer is the answer. I don’t think it will abandon but we’ll see!

Sunflower360 · 01/09/2023 20:05

@Doxy21 may be worth sticking with perhaps if you can get 1 egg as that is the aim of natural modified anyway. What were your follicle sizes?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 01/09/2023 20:58

I think 10mm, 8mm and 5mm. There were 5 follicles in total i think. I will keep going but last time there was no growth the cycle was abandoned

Sunflower360 · 02/09/2023 07:52

@Doxy21 fingers crossed they grow further, keep us posted. @VSRCM @ka3rine how are you getting on?

@Woodcottage1 did you do a fresh transfer?

OP posts:
Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 09:17

No this transfer was from 2021 frozen x supplements are as the about an egg book, but if I were to do any more egg collections I’d also have a monthly b12 and also a monthly glutathione injection. Just been reading up on glutathione, I think it’s incredible stuff. Have a read up on it x

Ignore all the skin whitening stuff regarding glutathione but have a look at what it does to cells x

Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 09:26

Not sure why clinics don’t tell us about supplementation and just say eat healthy. Glutathione isn’t easy to supplement though tablets I’ve been reading.
Glutathione and FertilityGlutathione protects these cells and the ovaries for oxidative damage, contributing to overall egg quality. Research shows that oocytes with higher levels of glutathione produce stronger, healthier embryos. The same is true for sperm health.

Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 09:29

Fingers crossed for more growth for you @Doxy21 x

Sunflower360 · 02/09/2023 09:36

@Woodcottage1 thanks for the tip. Ah ok, so we're your egg collections with Create in 2021 then? Was there a reason why you did not do a fresh transfer?

OP posts:
Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 09:47

I’ve had three egg collections and it took me just less than 2 years to complete that and do treatment for my endo. It was decided it wasn’t a good idea to have fresh without trying to suppress the endo x

Sunflower360 · 02/09/2023 10:00

@Woodcottage1 sorry if you have already said, was that Natural modified or mild? I was hoping to do back to back if it all goes ok 😬

OP posts:
Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 10:56

I did mild ivf x

Sunflower360 · 02/09/2023 11:54

Ah ok @Woodcottage1 Sorry for all the questions! If you don't mind me asking what was your AMH /AFC at the time? Mine is around 4 pmol and AFC was around 6 when last scanned. I was advised natural modfied based on that

OP posts:
Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 13:45

I think slightly higher amh but lower follicle count. Is natural modified less drugs? If you’re paying for 3 gos could you do one natural modified, and one mild and then decide on the third? X

Sunflower360 · 02/09/2023 13:55

@Woodcottage1 I think I can, as it is mainly to do with meds, which I think are about 150 IU from day 5 of your cycle. I will see how natural modfied goes, but thoughts were by the Dr that if I'm only going to get 2 eggs per cycle, natural modified may be best in my circumstances

OP posts:
Woodcottage1 · 02/09/2023 14:01

So the difference is I think I started about day 2 and possibly it was 225 x
