FET buddies summer 2023

Hi all, started this yesterday on conception and got no responses, but think maybe I put it in the wrong place. Anyway, final attempt! Wondered if anyone would be interested in a thread for those preparing for a FET cycle in the coming couple of months.

I closed my first round of IVF yesterday, no fresh transfer as my body went a bit nuts despite mild protocol, so looking to prepare as best I can for a frostie transfer in June or July!

Big hugs to everyone going through/who has gone through IVF at whichever stage you're in, I found it super tough and frankly think we're all incredible. X

Hi all, very much in my head at the moment. My period is now 10 days late and I’m getting thoroughly cheesed off! Do you know if there is anything around not doing FET on a month when you have a very late period? Not sure if I should wait for my June cycle now….

@CaribbeanCupcake thank you so much, been to the clinic today and unfortunately it’s being classed as PUL, waiting for bloods to rule out ectopic but they’re hoping I miss carry over the next couple of days 😓. Hope everyone else is doing well x

No way! What's the clinic said? Can they give you something to make it?
All good here thanks, currently 8dpt and 0 symptoms so panicking a little bit 😬 but still a white til OTD so need to find a way to chill! Lol

Oh @KG1244 it must be because you want it, it doesn't come! Have you check your not pregnant already? Haha
@CaribbeanCupcake when is OTD for you?
I had my EC today so now it's the waiting game for how many can be frozen and whether I get OHSS 😬

@CaribbeanCupcake They said it’s normal and to call them if it hasn’t turned up within 4 weeks. Ahhhh I can imagine. When is your testing day?

OTD is Monday 😬😬😬 Oohh how do you feel after EC? Do you know how many eggs they got?

@KG1244, ah must be so frustrating, hold on in there, is there a limit to when the doctor will just induce your period?
@CaribbeanCupcake oh that's exciting, not long then, have you been testing?
I got 49 eggs and process was fine. Just now it's the big wait for drop offs and also if I get OHSS which is a big worry!

@10degreessunny 49!!! Wow!! Make sure you take it easy for a good few days. How are you feeling now? Have you got work tomorrow? No haven't tested yet. I'm gonna stay strong and wait til OTD (even tho it's killing me slowly) 🤣

@CaribbeanCupcake good for you, I think I would do the same so you don't go crazy with not knowing if results are true. How are you feeling?
I'm just working from home, was fine yesterday afternoon and okay today, just bloated and feel like I have done a big abs workout. Really hoping this is as bad as it gets..!

@10degreessunny really glad you're not feeling too bad, hope it stays that way as I've heard OHSS is awful! Drink lots of water and try and do as little work as possible!
I feel fine- totally normal to be fair which is worrying me! I'm desperate to spot a symptom- any- but it's just not happening! I keep reading and googling as if the internet is going to tell me Im pregnant! 🙈 that's not happening either lol

Seeing to Dr tomorrow to try and understand the soonest I can do FET transfer, so far 5 days after EC no OHSS, very happy about that!

@10degreessunny sooooo today was OTD and it's was a BFP!! I'm in so much shock I really can't believe it! 😭 the first I've ever had!

I had medicated! Yeah still no symptoms, I keep checking the test and making sure I didn't imagine it! Such a strange (but amazing) feeling! Im all over the place 🤣

@10degreessunny still no sign. Honestly wtf. I feel like my body is pranking me! My next period is due next week so maybe I’ve just missed one after EC and hopefully I’m on track next week. So desperate to start FET and really thought it would all get moving this month 😤

So sorry AF is playing silly buggers! Maybe your body is just recovering from egg collection as it can't be nice on your ovaries! I'm sure if it goes on too long they can give you something to induce your period?
