FET buddies summer 2023

Hi all, started this yesterday on conception and got no responses, but think maybe I put it in the wrong place. Anyway, final attempt! Wondered if anyone would be interested in a thread for those preparing for a FET cycle in the coming couple of months.

I closed my first round of IVF yesterday, no fresh transfer as my body went a bit nuts despite mild protocol, so looking to prepare as best I can for a frostie transfer in June or July!

Big hugs to everyone going through/who has gone through IVF at whichever stage you're in, I found it super tough and frankly think we're all incredible. X

Hi all, sorry been quiet on here, had the transfer last Tuesday and then Friday I had to rush 4 hours away as an immediate family member has unexpectedly been given 3 days to live. I’ve been devastated and had very little sleep since Friday as I’m the main carer, she’s chosen to die peacefully at home. Anyway due to all the stress, lack of eating properly, lack of sleep I basically wrote this off but today I’ve tested and it’s Positive!! In complete shock!
So just to say to everyone, if your 2WW doesn’t go as planned don’t worry there’s hope! Xx

@tara17x oh my. Well firstly congratulations! That’s fantastic news! Was it your first round of FET? I’m so sorry to hear about your family member. That must be very difficult. I hope you are doing as ok as can be expected. Take care of yourself x

So sorry about your family member, how utterly devastating. Make sure you're looking after yourself in all of this too- especially now you have a baby on board! Lots of love and keep us updated x

Hi all ☺️
I started my oestrogen today after my baseline scan this morning. Will hopefully be having my FET on 25th May (my sons birthday ♥️).
I had ICSI in Feb, but had to have a freeze all due to OHSS. I ended up really unwell for about 6 weeks and spent 9 days in hospital, so I was very grateful for the freeze all in the end.
We collected 24 eggs and ended up with 4 great quality embryos in the freezer

@tara17x thank you! I have my FET booked for Tuesday so I'm sure I will have lots of qs leading up! I start the pesseries tomorrow which I'm dreading lol but needs must!
Have you got any symptoms yet?

@tara17x thank you so much. When your FET started, did you get any advice on embryo grading? I appreciate this is a very sensitive topic and I don’t want to upset anyone…. I have one good and three average. Hopefully starting next month!

I’ve had sore boobs since a couple days after the transfer, last couple of days had cramping and the tiniest bit of brown discharge. I’ve been very tired but that may just be because of what’s going on within the family.
my embroys were graded as follows and we started with the best, also tested 6 (4 of which were normal).
12 4AA
4 AB
4 Bb
3 AB
1 4 BC

Hi guys, @tara17x ah huge congratulations, thats wonderful news about your pregnancy. I'm sorry it has come at a time where another part of your life is struggling, I hope you're doing okay and getting support from loved ones.
I hope the rest of you ladies are doing okay as your journeys unfold. I had a scan today and they are happy for me to start meds tomorrow for EC so here we go... X

Hey, hope you’ve all had a good weekend. Have any of you found that your period has been late since your egg collection? On my second month and my period is a week late. So annoying as this is going to delay my June start for FET ☹️

@KG1244 yes mine was 3-4 weeks late, the clinic gave me a drug in the end to induce a period which worked.

@tara17x ah that must have been so annoying. Good the clinic were able to sort it. Was that your second period as well?

Hi @CaribbeanCupcake , sorry for delay been starting a new job so all over the place. I am just doing EC this round then hopefully transfer later in summer.
I am on 150 overleap, then from the 5th day also taking Fyremedal 0.25mg. How are you getting on?
@tara17x how are things going for you and the pregnancy?

Hi @10degreessunny unfortunately it’s turning out to be a very stressful time, I had my first bloods done which all looked great however second ones didn’t. My HCG is not rising as it should which suggests miscarriage or ectopic. I’ve had more bloods today and expect they will be monitoring me over the coming weeks but they’ve told me it doesn’t look good :(

Oh sorry @tara17x, that is must be so difficult to navigate through, im so sorry. There is of course still hope that it will all be fine but imagine this in-between stage is horrible. Really hoping for you it will be okay. Do you have a good support system around you? Xx

@10degreessunny ahh I see, yeah same as my first cycle tho I did fresh straight away. I had my transfer yesterday so the dreaded TWW now! Defo feeling more chilled this time but keeping myself busy so think that helps

@10degreessunny yeah FET, we had a fresh one last year and sadly it failed so this is our 2nd go. Hoping and praying this is our time after 3 years TTC 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
