Hi all,

I'm about to start my first IVF ICSI cycle. I expect to start my stims next week and all being well will have a fresh transfer in April.

Looking for buddies to come on this journey with me.

@MRSLMF try not to worry or look too much into it, i know thats highly rich coming from me! But bleeding doesnt necessarily = mc. My first i had no bleeding or cramping and it was a mc. This pregnancy Ive had spotting and its been fine so far. There are a number of reasons u can be spotting. Are you using pessaries at all? Could be them. Could be from ur haematoma. You could ring EPau explain ur worries but they will likely make u wait it out at least a week as you've only just had a scan. Unless there were big clots and it reminded u of a horrible period, id try not to worry xx

@Flowerlover010 I'm so pleased to hear this, delighted for you. But really sorry for how you are feeling. It's completely understandable so don't be hard on yourself. I don't think any kind words will help you at this point and you just need to get through the first few months. Even if you're struggling now, one thing is certain and that's that time will pass. And hopefully you will start to feel better and more relaxed, and can forget about how awful you're feeling at this point. How many weeks was your MMC? Wondering if you'll feel better once you're past that.

Glad the EPU is looking after you. It all sounds positive and there's nothing to suggest this pregnancy is anything like before. Stay strong, you've got this! 🙏🏼

@April623 thank you so much thats a really kind message. I know what you're saying i need to think more positive. Its just so hard. I was a worrier before i had any problems so it was always going to be stressful. I was nearly 9 weeks when i had it confirmed for my furthest one and im past that. I think i need to get to the kicking stage to feel a bit more relaxed but even then its worrying about whether its moving enough! Theres always going to be something to worry about so I just have to really work on how i deal with it

@Flowerlover010 I called epu and they were so kind, they've offered to scan me Sunday if I'm still spotting.
I totally understand your worry and anxiety, I've never been pregnant before or had MC and I'm worrying terrible so I can't imagine how your feeling with your history. A friend said to me once you get to around 16 weeks and feel movement its easier not to worry. Maybe we will worry until they're 50 years old lol 😆

How far along are you now?

CR7 · 01/09/2023 18:50

21 weeks and still worry xx I think we are destined to worry throughout

Flowerlover010 · 02/09/2023 07:03

@MRSLMF im glad they have offered to scan you.

That's it I will basically worry about the kid till the day i die. Signed myself up to a lifetime of worry! 37 and my mum still worrys about me.

Im supposedly 11 1/2 weeks but im not having my 12 week scan until im nearly 13 weeks so got a while to wait yet. Had private NIPT tests done and still waiting for those results also. Each step is a worry.

Last 2 nights ive had to sleep with a pillow between my legs to open my pelvis because im so uncomfortable in my lower back. Just always hoping its a good sign not a bad one!

I really hope i get movements early because the wait is agonising. EPU have booked me in for 1 more at 15 weeks then i have to see if i can wait to 20 after that. 🙈

MRSLMF · 03/09/2023 09:30

@Flowerlover010 I think its brilliant you have had such close monitoring for your first trimester, that must be really comforting. I don't know how anyone gets to 12 weeks without a scan or any reassurance lol maybe ivf messes with our heads!
@CR7 21 weeks! How exciting! Hope everything is going well?
My bleeding touch wood seems to have stopped yesterday so I've declined the scan today as everytime I have a scan I seem to bleed again. I'm going to try wait it out now until 12 weeks and then the scans should be abdominal rather internal.
Random and midwife doesn't think it's linked but I had severe constipation for 7 days and as soon as I have had bowel movement the bleeding has stopped! I am convinced the pressure was pushing on uterus or something....midwife said its not linked so maybe just a coincidence....
