Hi all,

I'm about to start my first IVF ICSI cycle. I expect to start my stims next week and all being well will have a fresh transfer in April.

Looking for buddies to come on this journey with me.

MRSLMF · 30/07/2023 08:42

Thanks guys! Roll on tomorrow! Fingers toes and eyes crossed?!
Did you feel the same @CR7 like unable to truly believe it really could be?

Flowerlover010 · 30/07/2023 08:45

@MRSLMF im soo soo excited for you. Look forward to tomorrow update.

CR7 · 30/07/2023 08:47

Normally when we did them after a transfer and they were negative we went to back to bed and had a cry afterwards together. Or even on a non transfer month when we were just trying naturally. That was always our routine. Amazon kindly told me I'd ordered 37 boxes of pregnancy tests.

Flower lover had told me to wee in a cup so after the first one we did a few more because we couldn't believe it. Having never ever seen even a faint line before. And then my husband had to go to work (he's a pilot) and I went to spend the weekend with my friend. It was all a blur. I still can't believe it now x

MRSLMF · 30/07/2023 09:03

Thank you @Flowerlover010

@CR7 this sounds like us! Hubby today is half excited half pessimistic as we've never had this before.
That must have been hard with your hubby going away after a positive test! As a pilot I imagine he can't check his phone when he's in the air too!
My hubs is going back to work tomorrow but fortunately will be home Thursday night before OTD on Friday
.. although I'll be testing daily now to ease my nerves 🤣 I'm so nervous that tomorrow might be negative!
I tested out hcg trigger and the tests were completely negative by 4dp5dt!

If you can, maybe try to wait until Tuesday to test. Hcg doubles every 48-72 hours or so, so will be much clearer on Tuesday xx

Well girls i had my 2nd scan today and to my utter shock and disbelief the foetus was there and there was a heartbeat! A normal heartbeat! I cannot actually believe it. If i could honestly express the cramps/pain i have felt the last 2 weeks plus i had a small amount of brown blood, i would have put my life on it that it was over. Obviously this is still VERY early days, they are measuring me around 6 weeks and there is a looooong way to go but this is the furthest ive ever got. Im trying so hard to not get too excited and ahead of myself as i now have to wait 2 more weeks for another scan but i am trying to have just the tiniest bit of hope now. Fk this is the hardest thing ive ever done in my life and ive been through so much, ive just got to try calm the fk down now thats all i can do!

CR7 · 30/07/2023 10:46

@Flowerlover010 the best news ever xx

Now you know the drill.

Chill. Rest. Eat. Repeat xx

Flower356 · 30/07/2023 12:11

@MRSLMF it does look like a line, but definitely get a clear blue early detection test.

Got everything crossed for you xxx

VioletCookie · 30/07/2023 12:35

@MRSLMF I would say that's 100% positive, but go get a clearblue and let us know!! Xx

VioletCookie · 30/07/2023 12:38

@Flowerlover010 I've just read your msgs and I'm so happy for you! To have a heartbeat must feel incredible ❤️ please rest up and do what you can to keep yourself happy and occupied! Congratulations xx

MRSLMF · 30/07/2023 13:46

@Flowerlover010 this is fantastic news! Congratulations! What a relief for you xxx

MRSLMF · 30/07/2023 14:51

Couldn't wait....had to check! Clear blue says "pregnant" seeing those words is mental!
I'm anxious I didn't test out the trigger properly or something because I just can't believe it!

Flower356 · 30/07/2023 17:45

@Flowerlover010 thats amazing news ! So happy for you !

charja100 · 30/07/2023 20:33

Hi all, really crap day today. Had our day 8 scan and they're concerned about something that looks like a polyp again, even though we saw it last month, had the hysteroscopy and was told there's absolutely nothing there! So we're potentially heading for another cancelled transfer pending a scan on Weds. I broke down in the office and had to be sent home, luckily only a couple of people that know about the IVF saw me. Currently in bed eating chocolate feeling awful...

April623 · 31/07/2023 18:53

@Flowerlover010 That is fantastic news I'm so pleased for you! Sounds like it could be your time, fingers crossed everything continues in the right direction 😊 and it's great that your are being looked after by the EPU.

@MRSLMF Wow sounds like it could be good news for you aswell! Have you tested again today? 🤞🏼

@VioletCookie So sorry to hear this 😩 Hopefully everything will look ok on Wednesday. I know nothing about polyps so have no words of wisdom but it's frustrating to be told one thing and now another!

Flowerlover010 · 31/07/2023 19:31

@charja100 @CR7 @April623 @MRSLMF @Flower356 thank you gilrs..just got to hope it continues to grow..

@charja100 hope you have a lovely holiday. Least u can get some sun, away from this shitty weather and enjoy yourself as much as possible.

@MRSLMF how are you doing? Did u test again this morning?

@VioletCookie my heart breaks for you this is beyond frustrating. I think you need to start getting angry with someone as i cannot understand how there can b 2 opposite opinions..so so sorry you're having such a shit time, its so not fair.

CR7 · 31/07/2023 20:53

@MRSLMF how are you doing x

VioletCookie · 31/07/2023 21:14

Thank you @CR7 xx
I've just been speaking with someone who said that depending on where you are in your cycle, your lining could be thick and hiding a polyp. I was day 10 when they saw a suspected polyp, and lining was 9.5mm. Stopped FET meds on day 11 following another scan and my period was delayed by 2 weeks. Had the hysteroscopy the day before I came on, so my lining would have been super thick. No one told us this was a thing, so I'll have to ask them tomorrow if it was wasted and I need another one!

charja100 · 01/08/2023 08:10

@VioletCookie that so disappointing, and frustrating when you think you've overcome the hurdle and are moving on to next steps. We're so reliant on experts giving us advice based on what they know it's difficult and frustrating when they aren't advising us propriety. Thinking of you

Well guys im still pregnant! 8dp5dt and I've done 16 pregnancy tests all are positive and lines are definitely darkening although still faint! I've moved to tesco cheap ones that don't detect until 25 units of hcg present in urine so atleast I know my levels are above 25! My clinic don't do bloods which is frustrating!
@VioletCookie oh that sounds ridiculously frustrating! You must be so mad right now, when are you back at at clinic? This journey never runs smooth does it! I've got everything crossed for you xxxx
How's everyone getting along? @charja100 have you got a plan to move towards your next frostie? Xxx
