Hi All,

Looking for others starting their FET cycle in March. This will be my 5th cycle (after 4 cycles last year). I did PGT-A testing this time and my embryos went down from 13 to 4. Hoping for success this time round and just wanted to go through the journey with others.

@pillerpink hey!!! Thanks for the message I’m going to speak to my doctor about the patches I have they are really good!! Suppose it’s trial and error all the time lol 😂 in the game of ivf!!

Rainbowpeach · 30/03/2023 19:18

Feeling extremely irritable today and just very sad and hungry, Im just feeling stressed and I don’t understand why. Just feel very stressed about waking up everyday and checking for blood, like will this be how the entire journey will be?

@pillerpink thanks for your message, the clinic actually rang me back and said the consultant is happy for me to carry on as planned, without upping my dose at all. I guess I've just got to trust them, and I do still have another week to go.

I'm just taking the pregnacare pre conception, is vitamin E recommended in particular? I'll have to check the dosage.

When is your test day? Xx

laurapop · 30/03/2023 20:05

@pillerpink oh also I saw your message below about feeling like your period is coming, that's exactly how I felt on my successful round 😊. So don't let that worry you. Early pregnancy feels exactly like right before your period is due, well for me it did anyway!

laurapop · 30/03/2023 20:06

@Rainbowpeach it's so stressful and scary, but it does get easier. When is your scan booked for? I used to just try and just take a week at a time and count down til my next scan! Xx

cat234 · 30/03/2023 20:20

@Rainbowpeach Ive been feeling a bit more positive this week, but spent most of last weekend feeling sad, stressed and anxious and like I was waiting for something to go wrong.

Try and take every day gone as a positive and one day closer to the next bit, when is your scan?

Rainbowpeach · 31/03/2023 04:44

@laurapop welcome to the group :) aw congrats on your daughter and I’m wishing for a successful next cycle for you. Did the doctor up your Estradiol medication? Fingers crossed it doesn’t get cancelled.

@laurapop @cat234
Thank you both, I thought I’d feel less anxious after my BFP but I’m feeling super anxious and just getting irritable and sad and hungry especially yesterday. I’m hoping I feel better today and try to stay positive. In the past I’ve never made it to the heartbeat stage and I think subconsciously I’m just waiting for something bad to happen so I can’t just be relaxed and pretend to get on with things even if I tried. I had abit of brown discharge 2 days ago and it just reminded me of the past cycles. This wait till the heartbeat is the worst wait of my life. My scan is on the 11th.

Hello, it may increase over the next few days, it did for me. So fingers crossed for you. Do your clinic want it to be over 7 before transfer?

I took that guidance grin a zita west nutritionis so check with your clinic if they advise?

good luck 🤞🏽

pillerpink · 31/03/2023 11:18

@pillerpink yes they usually like it to be over 7 for transfer but I won't be having another scan now and they've said it's okay 🤷🏼‍♀️

Another stress today - they sent me a Chlamydia test out to do last week, with no explanation or when I had to return it. I figured I would just do it this weekend/next week and send off before my transfer. Well they rang me just then saying we ideally need the results before doing the transfer as apparently the rules have just changed?! So I'll do it and send it off in the morning but then it won't arrive til Monday at the earliest and my transfer is meant to be wednesday, with a 2 day lead time for results. I'm confused why noone has asked me for this sooner or expressed the urgency until now?! Has anyone else not done one? I'm wondering if they are just panicking a bit now and trying to catch up with everyone's results.

Sorry that's a long message!

Jazsimone · 31/03/2023 19:02

@laurapop

Hey, I had a screening blood test at the beginning of treatment. Covers HIV HEP B and all STI's

Strange that they are asking you now .....

laurapop · 31/03/2023 19:21

@Jazsimone thanks for your reply! I did have a screening blood test too, but apparently Chlamydia is only testing via a urine test?

I think the hefa or whoever the governing body is has changed their rules recently so I wonder if they are just trying to catch up for when they do start saying you can't have treatment without it.

I asked the lady on the phone do I need to get the results before my transfer, or will it be cancelled and she was a bit like ahh I'm sure it will be fine, but didn't fill me with confidence 🤦🏼‍♀️

pillerpink · 31/03/2023 20:06

Hi @laurapop I had my STI, Inc chlamydia and HIV early on as soon as it was cleared that I could proceed with this transfer. My results came back v quickly. they can normally put through an urgent request for results. I know it’s easier said than done, but try and relax to prepare yourself. Xx

laurapop · 31/03/2023 20:17

@pillerpink thanks.. I do need to relax!! It's funny they didn't just test me with the full blood count. I might ring and speak to someone else tomorrow just to see if they can give me any further clarity.

I think I'm going to drop my sample off at the lab tomorrow rather than post it as it's only 25 mins away and atleast it's done then and gives enough time. What a palaver!

How are you feeling?

MrsRandMrsR · 31/03/2023 21:19

Hi all. How is everyone doing/coping/surviving?! Thought I’d jump on this thread. My wife and I have just transferred our last frozen 4AB bean. We lost our last one in November (ectopic) so at our last consultation they said they wanted us to have progesterone levels checked as we were on Lubion last time, they decided a blood test would be done however the test was carried out an hour before our FET. We we were told they’d ring later in the evening or the following morning (as in today) no results until my wife hounded them with phone calls, only to be told the results were back but she wasn’t qualified to say. A nurse did eventually try and fob us off with ‘the results have only just arrived’ but my Wife questioned this starting they’d been there all day but no one qualified enough to discuss. So it turns out the levels are low at 15.2. We’ve been given additional pessaries as well as to continue with Lubion. Another blood test is due on Monday. Does anyone know how viable this likely is? Our clinic don’t seem that bothered. We however are deflated, I could literally cry!

pillerpink · 31/03/2023 21:38

@laurapop thats a good idea and that’ll give you peace of mind. I would ask them if they will check bloods on the same day? You are paying a lot of money, so you have every right to ask. Also let them know that the not knowing is causing you worry to create urgency. I always asked lots of questions ask them to commit to deadlines for when they will come back to me.

I am doing okay, I’m 8dpo5dt and this wait is killing me! But I’m keeping busy, going for walks. But it’s the toughest part, I think. I test next Friday… 😳xx

laurapop · 31/03/2023 21:50

@pillerpink so the sample (which is urine) is being sent to an external lab. And they have a 2 day lead time. But, I'm going to ring the clinic in the morning and see if there's anything else we can do/if it's going to actually make a difference if they don't get the result in time.

They have always been great tbh so I am quite shocked this has come about. It was a health assistant that rang me earlier to chase so perhaps she doesn't know the full story.

Oh wow that is a long wait!! I usually test 9DP5DT. But atleast the longer the wait, you know the results are more accurate! Hope the week goes fast for you x

laurapop · 31/03/2023 21:54

@MrsRandMrsR I'm sorry I don't know much about progesterone levels, but our clinic do similar and do a blood test the day before transfer - which is new as I didn't have this in 2020! They said the result won't affect whether the transfer takes place or not, but that they may increase dosage which I guess is similar to yours! I honestly believe they wouldn't do a transfer if they didn't believe it had a chance. And usually they are quite risk adverse so if they think it's okay, try and trust them 😊. Easier said than done, I panic about the whole process! X

pillerpink · 01/04/2023 09:53

Hi @Cookiecrush I hope you’re well. I’m 9dpo5dt and still zero symptoms.. if anything I feel like I’m getting my normal pms mood swings… did you get mood swings before your bfp? This wait is awful’ xx

Zus · 01/04/2023 15:42

@MrsRandMrsR Hi, first of all congratulations on your transfer. Im not sure about the progesterone level but I had 2 transfers before. Both transfers I was put in progesterone passaries 200g 3 times a day. Total 600. First transfer ended up in miscarriage as I love my son at 16 and half weeks. As soon as I stopped progesterone it happened. For my 2nd transfer I continued progesterone for a while (same - 3 passaries a day ) I have 15 months old baby girl.

This is my last transfer, same 4AB quality. This time they have put me on different progesterone which is cyclogest. 400g 1 via vaginally and 1 via bottom. 2 times, morning and night. Total 1600. I'm just on day 4 today.

Hope this helps! 😊

Zus · 01/04/2023 15:44

@laurapop hey, I really appreciate your effort of not testing until now! Which is great will power. Like you said, the more you wait the more the results will be accurate.

I'm on day 4 but I'm sure I won't wait more than day 7 🤣🤣

This IVF is such a painful process! All the best for your results, lots of baby dust to you 😉🙂

Rainbowpeach · 01/04/2023 19:07

Hi ladies! Gosh I had a bit of a scare yesterday with bleeding but luckily it stopped last night. I went to A&E panicked and did a scan today but all is well according to the doctor, just nervously waiting for the heart beat scan in 2 weeks! I cried so much last night and this morning I lost 0.5kg 😂. I’m glad I can relax now but I’m just hoping and praying no blood appears again. I’m hoping for the best for all of us and our Christmas miracles as @zus would say 🤗

Rainbowpeach · 01/04/2023 19:11

@MrsRandMrsR welcome to the group :) oh gosh that sounds so frustrating. I’ve not experienced such before but from what I know from previous miscarriages, when I had bleeding they would recommend to add extra progesterone to keep the levels high. Hopefully they support you with the right level needed. Wishing you and your wife all the best 🤗

@Rainbowpeach sorry to hear you had a scare! Try and relax as much as you can - how terrifying this must have been for you. Fingers crossed there is no more bleeding 🙏🏽🙏🏽
