Hi All,

Looking for others starting their FET cycle in March. This will be my 5th cycle (after 4 cycles last year). I did PGT-A testing this time and my embryos went down from 13 to 4. Hoping for success this time round and just wanted to go through the journey with others.

@MS2692 congratulations!! my test was still quite faint at 9DP5DT, got darker when I did it on day 12 and I haven't tested since 😬.

Try not to worry about the blood yet, it could just be irritation or implantation.. spotting can be so normal xx

laurapop · 21/04/2023 21:31

@Jazsimone congratulations!! I just kind of had a feeling too, but also didn't want to feel like I was stupid and imagining it 😂

Definitely a good decision to space out your tests - I'm sure they will get darker. Amazing news! Xx

laurapop · 21/04/2023 21:33

@MrsRandMrsR that's such great news! I had spotting in my first pregnancy and all was fine. I'm also getting cramps right now still and I'm 5 weeks today. It's all very worrying but fingers crossed for us all 🤞🤞

MS2692 · 21/04/2023 21:35

@laurapop thank you, I’m worried as I haven’t had any spotting and when I took the Pessary out the 2 specks of blood on it looked like fresh blood and at 10dp thought it would be too late for implantation blood 😔😔 xx

laurapop · 21/04/2023 21:55

@MS2692 10dpt is round about when you would expect your period to be due, which I've read is when implantation bleeding would occur.

I actually spoke to my clinic earlier and they said spotting in early pregnancy is not necessarily anything to worry about. Do you have any pain/cramps? I think only worry it's it's more than spotting/accompanied by cramping.

I know it's so scary though I had it at 5 weeks last time and I really freaked out xx

MS2692 · 21/04/2023 22:03

@laurapop thank you, your messages have been reassuring and stopped me spiralling! I’ve had the odd mild cramp but nothing more really! I’m hoping I don’t see any more and will test Saturday & Sunday mornings and speak with the Nurse on Monday (the clinic is closed over the weekend) xxx

laurapop · 21/04/2023 22:11

@MS2692 yes that sounds sensible!! I tested early too and panicked but this is why they tell us not to test early isn't it 😂. You would still panic if you saw blood but then in 2/3 days time would be overjoyed by a positive test! It's such a gruelling process. Then the further wait for the scan 🙄. Try and relax and tell yourself there's nothing else you can do. That helped me a little xx

MrsRandMrsR · 21/04/2023 23:00

Hey hey! It’s all so terrifying. We’ve had some red blood today upon wiping, but no pain, it just came from nowhere really but has obviously unsettled us. Our clinic have booked us in for bloods on Monday and a scan and more bloods on Thursday. So, yeah, I’m like what the hell is going on? 🤯I’m ready for the knackers yard I think 😅

Hope everyone is able to have a chilled peaceful weekend, no matter what’s going on x

Jazsimone · 22/04/2023 06:20

Morning all,

@MrsRandMrsR
I feel for you both so much, this isn't the way you want your pregnancy to start! You have you appointment which is great and hopefully
They will be able to give you some reassurance!

@MS2692
I know from my
Pessaries if I use them vaginally it irritates me and cause micro bleeds, could it be that.... ?
I just hope it doesn't increase for you.

@laurapop
I did a cheapie boots test this morning and we have a BFP ... I'm so pleased! I knew I was feeling sick for a reasons, looks like I am going to have hyperemesis again which was highly likely.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend
❤️

MS2692 · 22/04/2023 08:57

@Jazsimone congratulations! 🥳🥰

@laurapop absolutely it’s just totally nerve wracking I naively thought that if you got a BFP you could relax but now I realise that’s just the beginning of the anxiety ride now I’m worried constantly 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I checked this morning and there was no blood and there wasn’t any blood on this mornings Pessary when I took it out either (sorry TMI!) 🤞🏻

@MrsRandMrsR it’s so scary isn’t it, I hope we both get our good news on Monday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Zus · 22/04/2023 12:07

Congratulations ladies 👏👏 I'm so happy for you all 💞

You're right @MS2692 seeing BFP is just a start of the nervous journey haha 😂

I hope we all get there 🤞

laurapop · 23/04/2023 08:11

@MS2692 oh yes it's just the start of worrying about them forever! That's really good youve had no more, sounds like just a small amount.

I had a little bit of brown blood yesterday but it's stopped now.. I had it at exactly the same time with my daughter so trying to stay calm!

How far is everyone along now then? I'm currently 5+2 and feels like I've known for months already 😂

MS2692 · 23/04/2023 08:15

@laurapop I haven’t had anymore (touch wood) since the specks on Friday night 🤞🏻

I know what you mean I only first tested on Thursday but it feels like it’s been weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m 4+3 according to the Flo app and have my first OTD beta blood test tomorrow 🤞🏻 I really hope the numbers are good!

Are you now waiting for your scan? When is it due? Xx

laurapop · 23/04/2023 08:15

@Jazsimone the boots cheapies do give you lots of reassurance don't they!

I had quite bad sickness last time, was throwing up a few times a day at between weeks 6-11 ish, but I could eat so never got to the level you were at I'm sure. I've had days of some nausea already, but I'm just waiting for it to hit me like a tonne of bricks!!

MS2692 · 23/04/2023 08:16

@laurapop sorry I meant when is the scan due xx

laurapop · 23/04/2023 08:48

@MS2692 oh that's good you get a blood test! Ours don't do them as standard. Will you have another one 2 days later?

My scan isn't til the 9th of May when I will be 7+4, they didnt have any earlier ones cause of the bank holiday. I may book another one around the 6 week mark though I'll see how I feel next week 😬. When will your scan be? Xx

MS2692 · 23/04/2023 08:57

@laurapop I honestly don’t really know what happens past the blood test tomorrow they didn’t say past that, so hopefully when they call with the results tomorrow they will give me info about a scan but I do think they will ask me to go in for a second blood test to ensure the hcg levels are doubling

How exciting I can imagine the wait is driving you mad 😩 just over 2 weeks to go! I don’t blame you, I definitely think I would book a scan at 6 weeks too as it seems a long time to wait between OTD and scan without any reassurance xxx

Jazsimone · 23/04/2023 10:28

@laurapop

Hey girl, I'm so pleased everything is going well for you!

I had left over tests and the lines have darkened which is amazing. I think my blood test will be on Saturday once the clinic know.

Yesterday I was completely wiped out, unless I'm eating I feel sick! When I was pregnant with my son the sickness didn't start until week 9, maybe I'm just more aware of it this time round.

I'm so glad that we can all do our journeys together

❤️

laurapop · 23/04/2023 16:54

@MS2692 yeah I think I'll get to 6 weeks then see how I feel. What I don't want is to go too early and not see a heartbeat and then panic! But I guess there should be something there by that point or if I wait til 6+3 maybe. Fingers crossed for your blood test - I'm sure all will be great ☺️ xx

laurapop · 23/04/2023 16:56

@Jazsimone ahh yes maybe it is being aware. It's so tough the sickness. I've felt wiped out today too and had a little nap earlier! Just feel a bit hungover but I know what's to come will be so much worse 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. Maybe I'm just thinking the worst, if I get no sickness that will probably make me panic so I can't win 😂.

Good luck for your blood test, I agree im glad we can all go through this together knowing exactly what it's like! Xx

Skincareaddict · 23/04/2023 20:36

Hi everyone,

I'm due to start a FET cycle soon (scan late this week, period due around 2nd May)

I've been told I'll be on oestrogen tables 3 x a day from day 2 of my period, and then I'll add in progesterone from a couple of days before transfer. I'm really confused because last time, when I had my egg retrieval / fresh transfer I obviously had the buserelin to stop me from ovulating. I am relatively regular (ovulating around day 13-14) but what happens if I ovulate early? Do they track this at all?

This is my first FET and now I'm worrying and panicking that my body will just decide to go AWOL this cycle and ruin things for me

Zus · 23/04/2023 20:43

@Skincareaddict Hey , welcome to the IVF boat ⛵

Don't panic as I did the same. This is my 3rd FET transfer. For my last 2 FET I took 4x Estrogen tablets and progesterone 5 or 6 days before the transfer. Also busirelin injection to down regulate my cycle. But, this time, no injection at all. 3 X Estrogen tablets and progesterone 5 days before the transfer and overtile injection just 2 or 3 days before the transfer that's it. I was so worried, exactly like you! What if I ovulate? I had lot of what if? questions!!

I thought this might work it it might not! But it did work. I'm currently 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have my scan this Thursday to confirm the pregnancy.

Don't worry about the injection bit like I did! It will work 🤞🤞

laurapop · 23/04/2023 21:13

@Skincareaddict hi! The oestrogen tablets will stop you from ovulating ☺️. Then 5 days before transfer you will start the progesterone to prepare your body to receive the embryo! Try not to worry and trust the clinic, they do this all the time. Good luck 🤞xx

Skincareaddict · 23/04/2023 21:24

Thank you so much both @zus and @laurapop , that's really reassuring!

Just spent all evening down a rabbit hole of stress. My first round (fresh transfer) failed in Decembed so i feel like I'm going into this second attempt with a lot more anxiety / awareness of all the things that could go wrong

laurapop · 23/04/2023 21:52

@Skincareaddict it's such a rollercoaster!! Try and be reassured that frozen transfers have a greater success rate (definitely at my clinic anyway!). You're body has had time to recover and you will have the correct hormones/they will transfer at the perfect time.

Also at the end of the day its all a lottery! Nothing you can do really will affect the outcome, but we all know how nerve wracking it is ❤️
