@LR94 I’m so sorry about your remaining embryos 😞 Fingers crossed you were transferred the strongest one. I only had 1 blast, it may well be that you had a blast too, it was just transferred before it became a blast. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi @THISISIT23 I had my egg collection on 1st Feb aswell and mine was transfered on Sat (day 3) my test date is the 17th and its killing me!

@LR94 Completely understandable that you're feeling like that, but just because the others didn't make it doesn't mean this one won't! You know yourself from reading these threads that most women come out with maybe one or two embryos from an entire egg collection, and that one embryo can be their baby. Most of a batch being unviable has no bearing on the embryo that makes it. And your embryo is back in the very best place for it - your womb ♥️

I know how worrying and stressful it all is. Keep the faith. We're all rooting for you. Xx

@THISISIT23 Welcome and congratulations on being PUPO! I know, it feels like a stupidly long wait. All I can say is keep busy. Getting out for a walk every day helped me.

Did anyone else have a really sore belly button and sore area around it when doing their injections? I’m on day 10, but it only got really sore yesterday, and I don’t know if it’s the injections, something having gone wrong with my laparoscopy, or a combination of them both!

@THISISIT23 My clinic told me to behave like I was pregnant. And no sex, baths or swimming for 3 days after the transfer. Just look after yourself. Realistically there's nothing you can do to change the outcome (apart from going on a drug/booze bender!). It kind of helped me to know that. Good luck. Xx

@BertLiv Hello Bert 🙂 I didn't have that but I did find that some injections were really sore and some weren't at all. Not sure why that is. If you're worried will you speak to your clinic?

@BertLiv Also are you varying where you inject?

@countrypunk thank you for that! My clinic basically hasn’t told me anything apart from no heavy lifting :/ xxx

@BertLiv I literally had no side effects with the injections I know some people do but I literally didn't have any. No pain no soreness nothing lol but everyone is different every person's body is different.

@countrypunk my clinic say I still can't swim and use jacuzzi etc... have you been swimming recently ? I am keen to get started again...

@countrypunk Yes, I make sure I swap sides each day. I think I'm going to wait until Thursday's scan when we'll know whether or not the round is being abandoned. I don't think a few more days will make any difference and, if it is abandoned and is to do with the drugs, then I assume it'll get better quickly. If the round is continuing, I'll ask at the scan.

@Frosty91 I had pretty much nothing until yesterday when I noticed a small bruise and my belly button and surrounding area was sore.

I have had a hard lump in my belly button since my op in November, so it could well be something to do with that and nothing to do with IVF...

@countrypunk awwww I know how you feel switching of on mumsnet for abit. I'm only joined in this group. Are you still in the October due group? I think too many groups can mess with your head sometimes. Maybe just checking it once a day and not too often so it doesn't play on your mind too much. Hope everything goes well for you x

@BertLiv I literally had no symptoms or side effects so have no idea. Try injecting in different places of the tummy or maybe rub some I've before you inject that may help x

During the injections, specifically after Day 6 of stimulation I developed the most severe back pain I ever experienced in my life
I couldn't get up or sit down without screaming literally
When I went for a scan to assess my follicles before the egg collection my ovaries were massive and I had 45 eggs collected 😵‍💫

@BertLiv try placing some ice or an ice pack before you do the injections really makes a difference x

@JuliaIVF83 No, I'm a terrible swimmer! Can barely doggy paddle 😆 But I have stopped going to yoga which is probably overly cautious. It's quite an intense class though and I just don't want to do anything overly strenuous just now. I think jacuzzis are off limits for a while, if not until you give birth because your temp rises when pregnant so sitting in hot water for long periods can be dangerous? Is the swimming thing because there's a small chance of infection from the water?

@BertLiv That sounds like a good plan. I know it'll be really upsetting if the cycle is cancelled, but sometimes it takes a wee while to work out the best dose of hormones for your body. Hope you're OK.

@Frosty91 I am in the October group but I prefer this one 😆 I'm checking constantly at the moment, barely doing any work. Thank you 💜 I hope all continues going well for you too x

I bejng sick today 3 times but I managed to get a sandwich in my lunch break
Distraction definitely helps but I struggled a lot in the first morning hours 😵‍💫😵‍💫

@Frosty91 The strange thing is the worst of the pain isn't where I am injecting, which doesn't make much sense to me! Although, I guess it's in the same vicinity and the drug will spread...

@AnnaPr1992 It would be amazing if this was all because I had lots of follicles, but I didn't at my scan on Monday, unless they've all just suddenly appeared! It seems so ridiculous to be bloated and sore when they can only find one alright sized follicle 😕

@countrypunk I'm ok, I guess. Up and down. I'm trying to stay positive and take things day by day, whilst also preparing myself for it being abandoned. Luckily, my husband will be there with me again - it's a later appointment so I thought he might have to get to work, but they've been really nice and have said he can arrive late.

@AnnaPr1992 😂 You poor thing! Do people at work know? Hope they're being sympathetic. Sounds like it's very bad in the mornings. I wish I had some words of wisdom! Xx

@countrypunk I joined but then exited the other one 😆 I just preferred this group thanks to you making it again 💗🤣 I know it's a waiting game. I'm just doing same as you it plays on my mind but I just try and keep busy. This month is also my bday I turn 32🙈 we was suppose to go venice but I don't wanna travel yet. So we going somewhere in the UK. A short break. Goner feel so old lol and the scan and midwife appointment so a few things to look forward for this month. You guys are all amazing souls 💗 I really love this group x

@BertLiv I don't mean to sound pushy but if the pain is bad I do think you should call your clinic today about it.

I can relate very much to the feeling of trying to stay hopeful while preparing for the worst. It's so very difficult. Sending you much love x

Will you go to Venice later in the year instead? Don't miss out before the baby comes, Venice is amazing for a couples holiday!
