Hello everyone! I had an early reassurance scan today at 6+5. I saw and heard a little heartbeat...I couldn't believe it. I cried! Baby is measuring a day ahead. I barely slept all week and have been out of my mind with worry, convinced there'd be nothing there as I don't have many symptoms. It was an incredible moment which I'll remember forever. I am in again for a scan with my IVF clinic next Wednesday.
I wasn't sure whether to post as I'm aware that some people haven't had great news recently and I didn't want to be insensitive. But I remembered when in my down moments how much hope that it can be sometimes when you need it. Wishing everyone a weekend of calm and positivity x

@LR94 when you reach 9 days past a 5 day teansfer you are 4 weeks. That's the easiest way to calculate how far along you are.

Lucy5yearsttc · 24/02/2023 16:11

@ali2021 great news! Congrats 😍

Laura23FE · 24/02/2023 16:17

@LR94 pregnancy weeks go off the date of the first day of your period usually so they can get a more accurate date

flo.health/tools/ivf-due-date-calculator This link is good for working out ivf due date

@blossom84 how did you get on ❤️

Laura23FE · 24/02/2023 16:17

@ali2021 amazing news🥰🥰🥰

blossom84 · 25/02/2023 02:24

@Laura23FE sorry im just logging on , but it was negative 🥺

Laura23FE · 25/02/2023 06:03

@blossom84 so sorry to hear that 😢 have you got any frozen so you can try again ? ❤️

blossom84 · 25/02/2023 13:58

@Laura23FE I do but we were thinking about trying natural again. I've heard alot of stories of women getting pregnant naturally after a failed ivf so im hoping im one of the lucky ones. I have adenomyosis and diminished ovarian reserve. I need to treat that first and my fiancé has low sperm and a shape issue. Im actually on my way to my first acupuncture appt as I heard its good for my condition.

Laura23FE · 25/02/2023 22:25

@blossom84 yes my friend did 3 rounds of ivf all of which failed and then has had 2 babies since naturally … ❤️ got my fingers crossed for you it works 🥰 I have stage 3 endometriosis and acupuncture really helps me x

THISISIT23 · 27/02/2023 17:14

Please can anyone advise!

im running out off progesterone I have two left I can’t get back to the hospital pharmacy to collect my next prescription my partner can’t get anymore days off work to take me! I’ve phoned my GP they say they can’t prescribe it - I’ve phoned the community midwife’s they can’t help! I’m at a dead end does anyone have any more ideas off what I can do :( xxx

Laura23FE · 27/02/2023 17:38

@THISISIT23 if you have a copy of the prescription you can use pharmacy2u website, however delivery would be a few days other than that I would see if anybody else can take you to the hospital or get a taxi as I don’t think you can get it anywhere else x

runningismytherapy · 27/02/2023 19:08

@THISISIT23 could your hospital pharmacy send it to a different pharmacy that’s more convenient for you t to I collect it from?
How much longer do you need it for?? X

THISISIT23 · 27/02/2023 22:22

@runningismytherapy ice spoken to the pharmacy they’ve said because it’s a hopsital one it can’t be recalled to be sent to a local pharmacy! It’s such a nightmare trying to sort out. Xxx

LittleDoveLove · 06/03/2023 09:47

Hi everyone, I'm back after a little break.
I've tried to catch up but I'm about 1000 messages behind so I'll say congrats to those with BFPs! and good luck to those still going through it.

I have been doing the stims and found the anxiety they caused really hard, they also made me really forgetful!

I took my trigger yesterday night so egg collection tomorrow. They saw a little bit of water on my lining at my 10 day scan. They said 9/10 this goes away by transfer but if not I have to do a frozen one next month 😔 more money and emotional turmoil.
Crossing everything it's gone by the time I transfer. Have read progesterone usually can cause lining to re absorb it 🤞.

Very anxious about the sedation tomorrow!

runningismytherapy · 06/03/2023 10:07

@LittleDoveLove glad to hear it’s all going okay.

With reference to the sedation please don’t worry. I am both a medic who frequently sedates / anaesthetises, and terrified of personally having to have either 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ Even prior to starting ivf, it was the thought of sedation that made me most worried.

Turns out, it was absolutely fine and definitely not worth the anxiety. I tried my hardest to recall how it felt - literally can’t remember a thing between drugs going in and coming round in recovery. No pain, no feeling rough afterwards, just very zen and peaceful. And the post procedure tea and biscuits were possibly the best ever! xx

LittleDoveLove · 06/03/2023 10:52

@runningismytherapy thank you that's really good to know! I'm an anxious person anyway and the stims sent me in to overdrive!

LR94 · 06/03/2023 13:17

@LittleDoveLove my sedation was lovely! Its like a really nice deep sleep and then you wake up feeling fine, no pain or anything. For me it was probably the easiest part of the process, I found the embryo transfer to be more painful!
Good luck, fingers crossed for you xxx
