HJen22 · 11/01/2023 14:06

Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@Purplemichelle huge congrats!!! You must be pleased, and one is all you need! Try to relax and keep as stress free as you can

@whomoon well im booked for a fresh on Monday, but was feeling quite sore and bloated yesterday and it just made me think… if my insides are inflamed maybe it’s a waste of an attempt?! So wondered if there’s an advantage to going fresh, but I’m probably just over thinking it… we really don’t have time to waste so I’d only delay if it helps my chances…

Purplemichelle · 17/02/2023 16:40

@JustBePositive thank you. Currently relaxing with my hubby and dog by my side. Remaining calm and positive 😁. Good luck for Monday! Xxx

StoriesAboutJanuary · 17/02/2023 16:58

@THISISIT23 it’s been a long day. Apologies for the late response. 800 mg/day is plenty if you don’t have any known issues with Progesterone. As someone has said, keep an eye out for any fresh blood. I still think it’s a slight irritation that will usually self-resolve.

I will say though, low Progesterone is known to cause premature bleeding so the crazy in me would check progesterone levels. When caught early, it’s usually possible turn it around quickly. Please don’t freak out, it is my two cents worth and I’m just sharing what I would do.

Sj2505 · 17/02/2023 17:54

@JustBePositive my consultant told me that with my fresh I'll have about 30% chance and with any subsequent frozen I'll have about 40% chance, he said this was because the uterus would be less inflamed and would have had time to recover from meds and EC.
Because I suffer from pelvic pain, particularly during AF, he's already prescribed me steroids from EC to calm any inflammation ahead of transfer.
So there's theory behind your thinking.

All this being said, this is my second IVF, and the first worked first time with only progesterone pessary support after EC, so there's still every reason to be hopeful ✨🤞🏼

Pinch me!! I know I said I wouldn’t test but I did! I have two lines on an FRER and I’m shocked. It appeared in under a minute! I’m 4DP5DT and excited doesn’t even begin to explain it. 🙏🏾

LF82 · 17/02/2023 18:44

@StoriesAboutJanuary congratulations! Lovely news!

@Purplemichelle well done today! Definitely all about quality over quantity- got my fingers crossed for you x

@LF82 thank you. Wondering if the power of positive thought will encourage the 2 embies to grow 🙏

Hi ladies,

What a rollercoaster this is for us all, hope everyone’s doing ok. Congratulations to you all with positive updates and thinking of everyone who hasn’t had an outcome they were hoping for.

Just to share an update from my side, I’ve tested positive every day apart from yesterday from 6DPT until today 10DPT but the line isn’t getting any stronger (not weaker either) but I’m starting to worry it is a chemical pregnancy as I have 0 symptoms. I don’t know what to think, my wee did look more diluted this morning so maybe that impacted it, I’m driving myself crazy just not sure what to think - I called my clinic and they will blood test on Monday but I’m just worrying that I will have HCG in my system but they won’t be able to see if it’s increasing.

I would say, and I obviously haven’t stuck to this, but i would hold off until as near test date as you can, it’s just the same anxiety once you’ve tested as it’s such early stages and things seem to be able to go either way.

Purplemichelle · 18/02/2023 09:27

@AM08 it is indeed a rollercoaster. I think doctors advise to test every 2 days as the HCG doubles every 48 hours. I really hope the bloods settle your anxiety. Please be kind to yourself in the meantime. The problem with IVF is you actually know you have an embryo inside you. Some women have no symptoms until 7-8 weeks into their pregnancies.

Update from me this morning. Both eggs have fertilised normally. Next update on Monday. First hurdle over. Xx

AM08 · 18/02/2023 09:40

@Purplemichelle totally, it’s so hard not to overthink every single thing - I just need to try and distract myself until Monday but I am feeling very down. I do think if I do another round of IVF I would wait until the end of TWW.

Thats amazing news on your fertilisation rate, sounds very promising! Fingers crossed for your day 3 and day 5 updates 🤞keep us posted

LF82 · 18/02/2023 09:43

@AM08 i know it’s really easy to say but try and keep yourself busy until Monday & hopefully you will have a positive result. The TWW sounds like torture.

@Purplemichelle thats a fab result! Fingers crossed for you next update x

Purplemichelle · 18/02/2023 09:51

@AM08 be kind to yourself and do something just for you this weekend. The hormones can make you feel huge mood changes but just know that no news is good news.

@LF82 thank you. Super relieved. Very early morning call from them too. My heart was in my mouth. Xx

THISISIT23 · 18/02/2023 10:35

@Purplemichelle woohoo that’s a great update! So happy for you xxx

Purplemichelle · 18/02/2023 10:54

@THISISIT23 thank you! How are you feeling this morning? Xx

AM08 · 18/02/2023 11:04

@LF82 Thank you, I’ve managed to get myself ready for the day and plan to try my best to keep busy! How are you doing?

LF82 · 18/02/2023 11:17

@AM08 i am impatiently waiting for my withdrawal bleed after my last round (was a freeze all) Just want to get going again but know I have to wait for my next AF after the withdrawal which just seems like it’s going to be an eternity away! Trying to have a bit of normality in between but it’s hard x

AM08 · 18/02/2023 11:52

@LF82 Ah I hope it comes soon for you, I had a freeze all in December and then my bloody AF was late (day 7). From what I’ve heard freeze all’s are the best thing to do to give your body a chance to recover but the waiting inbetween is long!

VioletCookie · 19/02/2023 07:14

Morning all,

I am going absolutely out of my mind!

This morning I am 5DP5DT and still have a negative test. Thought I saw a faint line last night but had to squint until my eyes went funny, so that was obviously wishful thinking! Looking again today it was negative.

The earliest I've tested positive is 5DP5DT in the evening, however I've read so many stories of positives from day 4/5 so I'm catastrophising. I've had 4 hours sleep and been up since 6 doing work emails 😅

We were so fortunate to test positive on our first 2 FETs (and then unfortunate to lose them both) so I'm convinced it hasn't implanted 3rd time round.

Any words of wisdom to save my sanity would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼 xx

LF82 · 19/02/2023 09:27

@VioletCookie hope you are ok, I don’t have any direct experience as I just finished my first round which was a freeze all, but I would say don’t lose hope, they clinics ask us to test after 2 weeks for a reason so you are very early days. I will have my fingers crossed for you x

Purplemichelle · 19/02/2023 09:37

@VioletCookie it is super early. Try to remain calm and wait to test until you’re at least 10DP5DT if you can’t wait the full 2 weeks. The body needs time to build HCG. Hope you’re ok. Xxx

Boofimus · 19/02/2023 10:19

Took my triggers last night and then had the WEIRDEST dreams all night. Also, lots of random aches around my ovaries today. Didn't have that the last couple of times, so I'm wondering whether it's because I had two triggers and the higher dose has had an effect?

VioletCookie · 19/02/2023 11:08

@LF82 @Purplemichelle thank you x

I've had such strong positives from day 6 that I'm spiralling. I felt quite strong twinges both times previously and this time I don't. I've got a blood test on day 9 (Thursday) at the clinic to confirm if its worked. I'm not holding my breath 😔

@Purplemichelle how do you feel after your egg collection? X

@LF82 hoping your AF comes soon! 🤞🏼 how many embryos were you able to freeze? X

Purplemichelle · 19/02/2023 11:39

@VioletCookie oh bless you and good luck for Thursday. The body does strange things sometimes and you never know. Positive thinking and taking time out for yourself is a must right now.

Thanks for asking re egg collection. I felt a little bit sore and tired yesterday and super bloated which was probably the most uncomfortable symptom. Going to the gym shortly to take my mind off day 3 update tomorrow. Xxx

LF82 · 19/02/2023 12:02

@VioletCookie i will have my fingers crossed for you for Thursday. If you can try & stay occupied until then. We got 3 embryos- though the 3rd one wasn’t great quality they said (5CC) but we froze it anyway x

@Purplemichelle hope you feel less bloated soon! Took me over a week to feel ‘normal’ after egg collection in terms of bloating x
