Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

Back from my last scan and booked in for retrieval in 2 days so trigger ovitrelle tonight… Looks like I have an ok number of eggs so no more ovaleap, I really want to get over 10 so hoping a few smaller ones keep growing!! A few at 20 which sounds huge so hopefully not over mature…

@TTCRose sorry to hear the first cycle was unsuccessful. I hope you have more response on the different meds.
This is my 2nd cycle technically also. I had one 8.5 years with my ex husband with resulted in my now 7 year old.
I've been with my OH 6 years now but he had a vasectomy before I met him, now we've decided we'd like a child together we decided to go straight to IVF rather than reversal.

Hi all
Had my day 6 scan yesterday and 8 follicles were measuring 10+. I don't really know if that's good or not and starting to get super anxious. Any advice? Consultant seemed happy and hasn't changed my level of ovaleap.
I'm feeling so heavy and uncomfortable in my lower abdomen and my boobs are killing me. Quite intense nausea too. I'm a PT so work is really active and I'm starting to struggle with it! How's everyone else doing?

I think that was quite similar to me, the first 7 days were slow and then from that point every 2 days (when I went to scan) they’d grown massively so don’t worry, I think they take a while to get going and respond but once they start….! I also started to get a bit of mild pain, but it hasn’t gotten any worse and I’m day 14 now. And I also stayed on the same ovaleap dose the whole way, so I think you’re doing just fine x

My line is getting stronger ❤️❤️ xxx

@THISISIT23 congratulations!! How are you feeling?

I have also done an early test 6DPT after a FET and have a faint positive! Not sure how to feel, for now we’re saying this is a positive indication but it’s such early days we don’t want to get too excited!

Good luck to everyone going through stims, I remember going through it and just so looking forward to each and every update and then the egg collection where there are so many nerves.

@AM08 feeling very nervous esp after yesterdays just going to keep testing now each day to make sure the line is getting stronger 🙂🙂

@THISISIT23 it’s so hard not to get excited, trying to see this as a ‘positive indication’ more than anything else - I have told one family member, are you going to share with anyone? Was this your first round of IVF?

Will call my clinic, Thursday/Friday and see if I can get a blood test booked in

@AM08 my partner knows but not getting excited yet till we are 100% sure and my best friend knows that’s it - don’t want to tell anyone else yet with it being really early days. yes was first round was it your first? my clinics due to ring me on Sunday xxx

@THISISIT23 that sounds like a good approach, definitely feel like seeing a positive sign was better than nothing given how many months of trying and seeing negative tests there’s been. It’s been my first time too, we had to pause for a month after egg collection to let my body recover due to OHSS. Going to try and keep busy today at work and then enjoy being cooked for tonight with it being valentines

@Jennie154 i think you had your transfer last Wednesday like me? It is still so so early, I know I tested today but it was the first time and we had mentally prepared that until the end of the week it could show negative but be positive

@AM08 we have just had a freeze all cycle … managed 3 embryos. A 4BB and a 4CC were frozen yesterday and today a 5CC. The embryologist said the one today was my choice to freeze as quality not great and I decided to freeze it. No idea if that was the right call. I really don’t understand the grades. It’s my first ever cycle so all a learning process x

@LF82 sounds like your clinic has a strong plan which is great and it will be good to see the results and compare between egg collections. For me doing freeze all has been a life saver, really don’t think I could have gone from EC to transfer, was so unwell

Had my transfer a couple of days ago (13/02) and I have somehow ended up with a low-grade fever, headache and lower back pain. I think it’s all the progesterone I’m on to be fair; three 400 mg of Amalgen (I think this is Cyclogest here) and 1 shot of Lubion (25 mg) per day. I’m also on 40 mg of Clexane.

I have decided against testing early but that resolve might go out the window at any time! 🥹

@StoriesAboutJanuary thank you! Got my fingers crossed for you after your transfer! Hope the backache etc goes away soon. I think I will be like you too and try not to test early x

I had my second scan this morning and it looks like collection will be Friday, just waiting for the consultant to confirm. I have 3 nice follicles so hoping to get all 3 this time. Xxx

@West8690 feeling a bit more full now, so looking forward to getting the eggs out! Literally sat at hospital in a queue now, feels like a big step over (almost) so looking forward to finding out what I have!
My last injection to trigger was ovitrelle, I had to wake up and do it at 1am and it hurt a little, slight bruise from it probably because I was half asleep…! 😂

Have you got a date for retrieval in now?

Hi Ladies, your thoughts and advise if possible please - feel free to be honest, I can handle it lol :)
This is my second IVF attempt (last attempted ended in an 8 week miscarriage and a failed FET), today is day 9 of my cycle, day 8 of meds and also my first scan day. Results were 8 follicles measuring between 10 and 18, with a further 2 showing under 10. Measurements were:
2 at 18
1 at 15
1 at 13
1 at 12
1 at 11
2 at 10
A further 2 under 10.
At this stage on my last cycle I was showing approx. 14 follicles but I'm pretty sure they weren't as mature as they are now at this stage. I have another scan on Friday but I have that feeling the cycle will be cancelled (the nurse was lovely but didn't seem that optimistic although she didn't say as much). She did say my last count was better and that there is still time for the smaller ones to catch up.
I expected my body to react pretty much the same as last time but it hasn't so now I'm frantically googling all sorts (this is something I promised myself I wouldn't do this time around) :(
Any thoughts or experiences regarding day size/quantities?

@SH998 I am not an expert and can only go off my last (and first round) I seem to be remember being told by the consultant doing my scan they were looking for them to reach around 17 (size) for egg collection looking at what you have got in terms of measurements looks like you are making good progress! The best advice I had from a friend who had been through IVF is take one day at a time and try not to overthink…. So easier said than done I know. X
