Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@Purplemichelle next one is on Saturday. I was exactly the same as you this time last week - willing my period to arrive so we could start! Fingers crossed it’s soon for you x

@TW6 the size will depend where is cycle you are. Usually you'd be having follicles around 20mm that would predict ovulation and be ready for fertilization. But I am not sure when they collect your eggs because I am going down the donor route.

Hi everyone - hope your all doing well with your journeys!! I did my first round of IVF in December but had symptoms of OHSS so had to do a freeze all round to give my body a chance to recover before implanting an embryo - ended up with 6 blasts, all good quality. I’m now booked in for my transfer next Wednesday - feeling a weird mix of scared but excited now! Trying not to be too positive in case it doesn’t work…

@peonygirl thank you for your reply, I've had a call from my clinic this afternoon and another scan booked in for Saturday and collection Tuesday if all goes well. So think it means it must be ok. It's my first IVF so I've been panic stations over every little bit of information 🤯

How's your treatment going? You holding up alright? What's the next stage for you? Xxx

@TW6 oh great, they will definitely know when you are ready for collection. And the follicles will be growing daily so by Saturday's scan you will see how much they developed.

I have my FET transfer next week and I am looking forward to it. It has been a long journey and I feel I am ready for the result - as much as I dread to have a negative result I am trying to keep in the middle - focusing on acceptance of whatever result there will be. I try to keep busy in the meantime.

@AM08 I feel exactly the same :) I think that's normal isn't it, after all the struggle and pain and patience...mixture of fear and excitement is acceptable.

@peonygirl is this your first FET? The build up is unreal. I know what you mean about trying to keep in the middle. We have no control over how our body's are going to react to the treatments. So practicing acceptance good or bad is really good advice. Next week will be here before you know it ♥️ you got any plans for distractions to keep your mind busy over the next few days? I'm looking at the cupboard under the stairs thinking ' you could do with a good sort out 😂' xx

@TW6 yes, I have full two weeks plans so I don't go crazy with the wait :) it is my first FET and I am doing it on my own. So it is not easy.

@peonygirl you are Wonder Woman! You've got this!! 💪🏻💪🏻♥️♥️ this is why these groups were started to give each other support. There are loads of lovely people on this chat. If you ever feel like a vent ♥️♥️ hopefully you've got some good family and friends around you.

It's been personal choice for me I've not told my family and only 1 friend knows. So I've defo found that kindness in strangers like yourself have kept me right xx

@peonygirl you totally have the right mindset, ultimately we have to get that balance and acceptance. Great to have some good plans in the diary too. What day is your FET and what protocol are you on? I go onto the heavier drugs tomorrow and I’m dreading them - Wednesday can’t come quickly enough

@TW6 in some ways the stims phase is the best, seeing the follicles and getting regular updates on progress - hope it all goes well for your EC

How you holding up? Any side effects off your treatment or you been ok so far? Xx

@TW6 tbh nothing so far, when I did stims I felt very tender downstairs and massively bloated but this time round its just been oestrogen to thicken the womb lining and that has been fine.

I have started my progesterone this morning and I think this is the one that gives the bad side effects so will keep you posted on how that goes. Blood thinner injection tonight too which I’m dreading.

how are you getting on with injections and when’s your next scan?

hi ladies, I’m jumping over from the January thread! I learnt so much as I prepared for my first IVF cycle, and I took my first injections last night

I took Menopur and Ovalep - DP was a star and administered both for me. I was very nervous! Other than a little bleeding after and bruise where the needle went in, it all went okay.

but overnight, I had HORRENDOUS cramps in my lower belly. From hip to hip, I had one long continuous cramp that wouldn’t stop. You know when you get muscle cramp in your calf/toe or somewhere and it’s ‘ow ow ow’ until it relaxes? I had that for 15 mins straight. I was shaking and had short breaths, never experienced it before.

feeling woozy this morning and tired.

What symptoms has everyone else had after the injections? I’m hoping I don’t get anymore..

@AM08 I've been alright, a little emotional and very tired but other then that all good.
Only have a few days left of menopur collection Tuesday all well with my scan tomorrow.
How did it go with your blood thinner injection? X

@whomoon im so sorry hear about what happened the other night - I don’t have any similar experience but are you ok now and did you speak to your clinic about what happened?

@TW6 ah that’s really not long at all, are you planning to have a fresh transfer?

Blood thinner was fine in the end, let’s see how it goes over the next week or so. It feels like it’s been so long since my egg collection in December but now with transfer on Wednesday it seems to be coming around more quickly - excited!

What do you guys think 5days past 5 day transfer?

@Jayjay08 that looks like a line to me!!! How are you feeling? I know it’s a little early but congratulations - you must be so pleased!

I am so happy but yet so scared incase it’s some sort of evaporation line or something .. 🙈🙈🙈🙈

So, had my embryo update today. 8 eggs, 6 mature, 2 fertilised and I have one day 5 blast (low quality though), and the remaining one is a bit behind so they’ll leave it a day.

Transfer later on today!

@Jayjay08 see it as a positive sign but tomorrow you’ll get more confirmation if you test again fingers crossed!

@Lauralozzle so exciting to go for the transfer today, how are you feeling about it?

That was the same as me but 3 mature.. 2 fertilised.. 1 full blastocyst which they transferred and one was behind they waiting a day but didn’t catch up .. good luck ❤️
