FET December 2022

Hello!

Is anyone else scheduled to have a FET in Dec? I had my egg collection at the end of October and as we did PGT-A testing we're doing a FET in my next cycle. I've been given an estimated transfer date of 5 December.

Would love to speak with others who will be going through this at the same time!

@Yoga817 have you had a previous ectopic? I did in august and my main warning was significant spotting. My beta HCG told me very little as it was doubling or more without issue until it started falling about two weeks after the transfer. Hopefully you don't have any concerning signs.

I've just gotten my second beta date on Thursday 29 December and they've tentatively booked an ultrasound for 5 January if the numbers have gone up as needed. A bit wary as all my miscarriages were after 7 and a half weeks and at previous ultrasounds they had healthy heart beats so don't want to get false hope. Also terrified we will get there and have bad news. I feel like I just live in a constant state of expecting bad news.

@Yoga817 I'm afraid I have no idea about how ectopic shows. I have heard symptoms involve spotting and pain. I think only an early scan can reassure you? Big hugs and hopefully you don't need to worry!

@Rtmhwales I'm having my 1st beta tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's a good day for us!!

Morning all. I have spotting and lower pelvic left hand side pain today so off to urgent care shortly...

@Happyface82 @SPR40 Thank you for the positive vibes. There wasn't anything they could do today but they did do an hcg blood test. They said that 5+2 is too early to do a scan, but they would do one next week once I hit the 6 week mark if I still have symptoms. I do have some slight bleeding and she said it's normal. It's so scary! 😟

I'm sure all will be well. Spotting and bleeding can be completely normal. My friend here at work just gave birth to twin boys (IVF) and she had bleeding quite often the first few weeks. It's super scary though.

When are you getting your beta back?

I though the TWW was bad but this is a bazillion times worse. Because of this I have been trawling the forums and therefore have seen lots of peeps who have mentioned bleeding and all has been fine. 🥰

@SPR40 yes there's not of reassurance out there. Thank goodness for Mumsnet forums! Apparently symptoms come and go and that's totally normal too. They did they they would scan me next week when I'm 6 weeks plus, which I think I'll take them up on.

@Nat4819 hope you're doing ok and totally understandable to be feeling this way. Hope bloods come back with reassuring news.

Our Xmas didn't quite go to plan - DH came down with a bad case of the flu a few days before so we've spent the past week social distancing, basically living separately in the same house, today is the first day we've physically spent any time together! Thankfully it seems to have worked however as so far I have been fine. I'm also trying to spend a bit less time online in fertility/pregnancy forums as I've found its very easy to drive yourself mad with worry reading about all the things that could go wrong!

Got my 1st beta just now. It's 395. Going back on Saturday!

@SPR40 I am okay thank you :) I have been feeling a bit nauseous on and off but find it helps to eat regularly. Also been having cravings (citrus fruits and cheese!!) Today I did a classic and had a gherkin after breakfast and had to giggle! How are you?
Has anyone else been having cravings?

Just heard back from the doctors. 1290!!! Eeeeek!!

I'm not nauseous yet but like you say eating more often used to help with my other precious 2. Just feeling super tired.

@Happyface82 that's a great beta! Is there a possibility of twins?

My 18dpt beta came back at 4929 which seems like a good number. I have another beta Wednesday but also having an early scan Tuesday at the EPU due to the bleeding (which has thankfully stopped now) to check to see how things are going. I agree he wait is very difficult and I'm feeling very anxious.. @SPR40 @RoseLlo sounds like we all have Tuesday scans!

It is high, indeed!! We did transfer 2 blastocysts so there is a chance, yes!! We'll know when we have a scan.

@RoseLlo Heya the gherkin made me giggle too. I don't really eat red meat and yesterday I really really really wanted some lamb lol. I don't think I have cooked lamb in about 7 years lol.

@Happyface82 that beta sounds ! What day was that? I am with you on the tiredness.
