FET December 2022

Hello!

Is anyone else scheduled to have a FET in Dec? I had my egg collection at the end of October and as we did PGT-A testing we're doing a FET in my next cycle. I've been given an estimated transfer date of 5 December.

Would love to speak with others who will be going through this at the same time!

@Happyface82 I go back for the next ultrasound on Wednesday. I'm sure work is thrilled with how much IVF related time I've had off but they're ace in general.

If it is MCMA/MoMo twins and progresses I will be having weekly or every second weekly scans because it's so worrisome. I went down the rabbit hole last night as this type can be conjoined as well and he said they're incredibly close together at this point.

On the one hand - twins! How exciting.
On the other hand - the most rare, dangerous kind.

It'll be a slow wait to Wednesday and then a slow wait to 12 weeks. Dr Google says there's only a 50/50 chance of survival to 12 weeks if it is this kind.

Hopefully everyone can keep their fingers crossed it's wrong and they're actually MCDA twins and we just can't see the divide yet.

@Rtmhwales A lot to take in for you. I can totally understand how you feel, let's hope for the best outcome. Will be thinking of you in your scan on Wednesday. They will be able to see a lot more with a few days passing. The bleeding is so scary and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that bleeding can happen (and very heavy bleeding) and the baby turns out to be fine. The same thing happened to us after the bleed we went for a scan with our clinic and they found a heartbeat. Was quite unbelievable.

As for me, we had another scan yesterday and twin A is growing nicely. Only measuring 4 days behind now so has caught up by a day since last scan, it also has a strong heartbeat. Twin B surprised us in the sense that we can now see a fetal pole, which wasn't visible before and we were told to prepare ourselves for seeing no growth, however it's measuring 9 days behind, we thought we could see a heartbeat but it wasn't clear, so the ivf clinic are doing another scan on 24th Jan when I'll be 9+1. It just feels like we can't relax and enjoy the pregnancy you know? Each scan inconclusive relating to twin B. I really am worried that twin B could disrupt twin A if it miscarries, but I guess it should be ok as they're in separate sacs? The babies are completely kicking my butt with symptoms. I threw up 4X yesterday and the foods that I can tolerate is now down to a small list. I also can't stand water which is problematic. Struggle is real!

@Rtmhwales you must feel exhausted - and twins! 😍 We will all be thinking of you on Wednesday and sending positivity your way 🤗 Like others have said it's so hard to see any detail when they're so tiny so hopefully they will be able to see more and give you good news in the next scan xx

@Yoga817 glad to hear twin A is doing so well and they're keeping a good eye on twin B ☺️ I'm sorry you're not able to relax completely with all of this going on. Fingers crossed things will start to settle down soon and you can start enjoying it 💕xx

@Yoga817 happy to hear about Twin A. My clinic originally said Twin B's often grow quite a bit behind but it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad (when we were waiting to see if emrbyo B would implant). What has your clinic said or is it just watch and see? When's the next scan?

@Rtmhwales keeping my fingers crossed for good news on Wednesday!! Two of my best friends had identical twins and I remember their stress very well!! Big hugs to you and Wednesday will be here in no time.

As for me I have my scan on Tuesday afternoon. I can't wait to see what's happening!! Feeling really rough and so exhausted. I put it down to age....

@Rtmhwales came home so late last night as we had an event at work right after the scan.

All went well. It's twins after all!!!! We heard 1 heartbeat and saw the 2nd. Doctor didn't want to hear the 2nd as it's still early and he didn't want to stress the baby. Twin A measuring 6+6 and Twin B measuring 6+1. He said to go back in 1 month. Eeeeeeeeek!

@Happyface82 you knew all along too lol. Awww all the twinnies in this group 🥰 I hope you are super happy!

I can't imagine how unwell you guys are feeling as I have 1 and I am absolutely exhausted and nauseous constantly lol xxx

@SPR40 indeed I feel horrible! Hahaha But it will be worth it! So excited! Though quite nervous! Hubby is super excited too!

@Yoga817 I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so still very early days.

Oh and the kids are super super excited bless them. They are 10 and 13 years old!!

All good over here today with the identical twins. Still uncertain if they're MoMo or MoDi but they don't appear to be conjoined which was a big concern.

Both measuring exactly the days they should with baby A's heart rate at 156 and Baby B's at 165.

Finally some good news. Sounds like two more weeks of progesterone in oil injections, an ultrasound on 30 January and then I move on to the high risk OB GYN.

@Rtmhwales aw such great news!!! Sounds like all is going well! So happy for you!! You must be relieved. I bet you can't wait to go back in and check on them!!

Hope everyone is doing well? We had a scan today at 9+1 and had confirmation of a viable twin pregnancy! We have officially graduated from our clinic. One baby is measuring only 3 days behind now and the other is measuring 5 days behind so they have caught up. The GP has referred me to a consultant already as apparently I'm high risk due to age, twins, ivf pregnancy, previous surgery etc. it's all happening eek! I hope you're all doing well xx
