IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

Transfer day!! Feeling very nervous but not sure why. They said they'd ring before 9 if anything has happened since day three to mean it can't go ahead.

@ohsohopeful good luck for today, I’m sure it go fine. Make sure you have a full bladder it makes the procedure more easier for them to put the egg back in

I had my ET on day 3 not sure why, my other embryo didn’t make it it was too damaged but least I got one implanted xx

@ohsohopeful wowza all the best xx my transfer would have been today if they had more then one to play with. Technically mine should be a lovely blast today same as you. I can't see mine. Haha best of luck xxx
I hating this wait now. I KNOW all odds are stacked against me
I am old, one egg, body didn't like the stims, and I am.poor haha can only afford one shot at this and that's on a loan... BUT, it only takes one I am desperately clinging here for dear life, but I am trying to also be realistic and take any defeat graciously. However, I am determined and positive whilst reality is sucking in the back of my head
I am a relentlessly positive gal but today the day of blast for me, I feeling the weight of all this
It's horrid.

So, mine in theory is a blast. I having some mild cramps. Don't think Nicola, just go to work as normal hahaha (my name is nicola BTW hahah not nikster, I bet you wouldn't have guessed) ahha I mucking about sorry.

Sorry for the rant, really I am. Just having a moment of glum and feeling a bit emosh.
But MRS one egg positive will get back on this dusty horse....
(Jeese this stuff is making me crazy hahah what am I like hahah).

Yeah little.embryo is 5 days now... I lay here with mild cramps. Panic or chill ? Waaaaaaaaaa

against all the odds I am actually in for transfer today! So surprised! I asked to be called either way after my awful update on Friday but by 10am I hadn’t heard anything and thought I’m definitely not going in now because they haven’t called me in plenty of time ahead of my 11am appointment - so I called and they hadn’t made a note to call me and said I have one embryo to transfer!
it is a little slower than where it should be nit quite a blast yet but doing all the right things so they want to give it a chance.
I know it’s not the best position to be in but happy that I at least have this chance (last attempt with OE I have decided)

@Nikster8012 it's a hard process and tough mentally. I admire your resilience and positive attitude! I wouldn't have gotten to where I am in life if I fell at every defeat but it was getting up and trying again that got me. I hope the same approach will serve well here too 😘

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Little embryo is on board so just hoping that it sticks. OTD is 10th, it's going to be a looooooong wait. @Hopewishprayer I'm so happy that you got your transfer today too!

@Nikster8012 glad you're keeping positive, know it can be tough at times. I'm heading back to work tomorrow, definitely feel like the distraction will help!

Well done for getting this far. I am amazed I am here.
On day 4 post transfer now.... bloody hell, the wait is awful. Was thinking to buy preggo test early but.... oh I will wait. Hopefully.
I had mild cramps but no other symptoms so far
I am reading into everything. Just gotta try stop and wait.. xx it's a comfort to know I am not alone here xx

It depends on what medication they give you, but to give you an idea I was on 150ui bemfola and it's around £17k with icsi. Its around £14k without icsi. One transfer is included in the package, any others add an additional cost of £1750 +meds I think it was! Yes it's such a great starting point and you're totally right, basically if transfer after cycle 2 works I'm be delighted and won't really care about the change in cost because we'll get a baby at the end of it. If it doesn't work we will continue with cycle 3 and then just pay for the next transfer. So we'd not lose any money and hopefully get some more embryos. I mean I don't have a never ending supply of money for transfers given they are likely to cost us around £3.5k a time with travel and accom too! But we will wait and see!

@ohsohopeful and @Hopewishprayer great news!!! Congrats on being PUPO! I hope your transfers went well 💕 how are you both feeling? I hope it's a fast tww!

Morning all my cold seems to be improving, i can actually breath more easier

@Nikster8012 i have cramps too, plus sore breasts. Apart from that i am ok. Counting down days until 7th when i can test xx

Morning everyone. I had pain last night do I cracked and tested early this morn. Negative at 7dp5dt. I feel very low. My partner's away until just before Christmas which is making this all more difficult. I'll test again on OTD but if I was pregnant I'm sure I'd be getting at least a faint line by now.

The thing I'm dreading most is telling all the friends and family who know we transferred last week. I just want to hide away.

@countrypunk oh I'm so sorry lovely 😢 I know it's hard to still have that bit of hope after doing your test, but you aren't out. Some people don't test positive til later on. I guess that once you've seen a negative it's hard to think of any other outcome though. I'm so sorry your partner is away, I hope you have a family member you can tell and who will give you a big big hug. Sending virtual hugs ❤️ and don't worry about updating people, you absolutely don't have to do that yet. Right now it's your business. People care a lot but it's hard telling news you'd hoped to not be telling. Thinking of you xx

It's not over yet. Sorry you feel low. I would feel low too, but there is always hope. Keep strong its not over yet. Did u use an First response ? Coz the cheapies tend to be rubbish.

I used a cheapie. I'll test again on OTD to be certain. It's the dashing of hope that's the worst bit - you have to have faith throughout the process, but the constant yo yo-ing is so hard. One day you're up and the next you're down.

Sorry to be a downer everyone. Thank you for your support, as always. I'm gonna get out in the sunshine at lunchtime with the dog, a walk always helps.

@countrypunk it's FAB news u used a cheapie, because that means there is more hope then I thought. A first response is the only test I would use on an early. Hang in there xxx
