Hi,

Is anyone else having a FET this month? I think I will have my egg transfer next week. It's my first one.

@Hopefull1981 how are you doing?

daisychain233 · 31/10/2022 21:05

Congratulations @morganablue @Crazyladywithacat and @Emsie1987 - some great lines there!

4dp5dt here and not much to report, except I feel like I’ve been punched in the stomach because of the lubion. Have worked out that doing it further away from the belly button and closer to the hip bone is a little better.

Crazyladywithacat · 31/10/2022 21:08

@morganablue great beta!!! Good luck for Wednesday!

Aim2912 · 31/10/2022 21:13

@Crazyladywithacat @Emsie1987 that's great results! 😀
It's so hard to let our guard down and be fully happy. We will get there!

@Emsie1987 a cautious congratulations!!!! Hope they continue to get darker!

Emsie1987 · 31/10/2022 21:21

@daisychain233 i have found the same. Sometimes though it just bruises for no real reason. I pinched the skin today and that helped.

@morganablue I’m glad today well well for your results. My clinic is private too but beta testing hasn’t been mentioned. Apart from if the results are low for progesterone and they can up your medication is there any other benefits to having it done? £90 is quite expensive but then in the grand scheme of everything it’s nothing at the same time.

@Aim2912 thank you for the advise and the information on beta. I’m probably going to just see how it goes. Assuming if it is a chemical there is nothing they can do anyway to prevent it.

My main concern is it’s ectopic. I managed to fall pregnant naturally last year and I had an ectopic pregnancy. I didn’t realise until I was 9 weeks roughly as I was bleeding just as I was due to have a period. Turned out my tube had ruptured but a blood clot had formed holding everything together which was why I was in no pain and the blood was just dripping very very slowly into my stomach.

I don’t suppose anyone knows the earliest they can check for this?

morganablue · 31/10/2022 21:25

@Crazyladywithacat you beta looks great too, fingers cross for both 🤞🏼. I know I will hold my breath til Wednesday.

I honestly think after Wednesday, and if goes well, the one after, I am done with it beta cause it makes so anxious.

morganablue · 31/10/2022 21:29

@Emsie1987 what an horrific experience, I am so sorry. I can only imagine the trauma :(
if you attend early pregnancy unit they should locate pregnancy to make sure it's in the right location at around week 6-7.
The could not see anything in my scan last time as it was very early (went there for a blood test), but around that week they should detect.

morganablue · 31/10/2022 21:32

@Emsie1987 exactly that, 90 is a lot but on this very expensive treatment, it's also nothing. It's more the build up of doing 3-4 test and end up spending 300-400 plus a 160-300 for a scan. I think I'll refer myself to EPU in a bit.
I wish my clinic offered the scan as part of their cycle!

Crazyladywithacat · 31/10/2022 22:09

@morganablue my doctor would only do two. If Wednesday goes well they will schedule 7 week ultrasound

Emsie1987 · 31/10/2022 22:15

@morganablue do they really not offer an early scan that surprises me? I just thought that was what clinics did. Mine offer one around 7 weeks I think. I will probably wait until then if this works out okay. Anyway look at me already thinking optimistically ahead lol

EPU is right opposite the Labour ward at my hospital and it's cruel sitting there watching the new babies come out. Whoever designed the hospital was an idiot. I then always have one a week before the 12 week appointment as I need to know everything's okay before I go into that appointment or should I say coming out to a waiting room of pregnant women.

morganablue · 31/10/2022 22:18

@Crazyladywithacat this makes so much sense.

My clinic waits until you get to 1000 form what I read, so on average 3. But I am seriously thinking to stop at 2, as the anxiety is killing me.

Last time as I had a super low initial beta that doubled etc but eventually ended up in MC, so I had to do 6 beta and progesterone Never again.

morganablue · 31/10/2022 22:28

@Emsie1987 what a silly building arrangement! It's great that you clinic offers one!

I was surprised too by mine, but they stated it in my price, which is a shame and 300 is also so pricey! Besides NHS is not always ready for IVF patients, so Having a scan without my Dr, terrifies me 🫠

Aim2912 · 31/10/2022 23:19

@morganablue sorry just realised I forgot to tag you in my previous post! Your beta looks great!

I agree testing beta's so many times would get a bit stressful. If my results tomorrow are good Im not going to repeat them. Will hope for the best till my scan which would be at 7 weeks if things go well.

Emsie1987 · 01/11/2022 07:46

the line is getting stronger. I can’t compare to 6dpo as it was a different type of test.

Hopefull1981 · 01/11/2022 08:34

I am 8dp5dt today and I am wondering is it worth getting the beta done now. If I get one today I’ll get the results tomorrow and then I can do another one Thursday for Friday. They also check the progesterone.

should I or is it too early. If I got my first at 4dp5dt and say that’s 10miu wouldn’t 6dp5dt be 20 and then today in theory be 40 and 2 days time be 80? Just wondering if it’s too early to check and I should wait..

I am still waiting on my frers but this morning on the IC was decent progression. These are 25miu so happy with that.

Hopefull1981 · 01/11/2022 08:39

@Emsie1987 I can definitely see those lines. Hope that they progression continues.

morganablue · 01/11/2022 09:49

@Emsie1987 can definitely see these linee and progression, all crossed for you!

@Hopefull1981 beta should detect already something but I would personally recommend 10dp which is when most clinic tests as it is a better indicator. I know it is easier said that done!
Does you clinic do beta? If not, If uk based, early pregnancy unit do these too.

@Aim2912 no worries at all! 😊 And thanks, I am very cautiously optimistic and now anxiously waiting tomorrow's test.

Hopefull1981 · 01/11/2022 09:52

@morganablue I am based in Ireland but my clinic don’t do it. I said feck it, I’ll do it today and get progesterone checked too.

WestCross11 · 01/11/2022 10:11

Hi there,

I really hope it's ok to ask this on this thread but I just wondered if anyone is on Suprecur and has found it difficult to exercise? I know that's quite niche but I started my injections last week and I find that even doing a light jog I'm exhausted.

This is our 3rd round of IVF this year but first time on Suprecur for a while. It's a medicated FET round so I'm conscious that I can only exercise for another week or so before transfer but it's really hard!

Sending so much love and luck to everyone having their embryo transfers this month. xx

Aim2912 · 01/11/2022 13:09

@Emsie1987 those line certainly are looking good.
@Hopefull1981 I can see those line too, hope the test go ok for you.

@WestCross11 sorry I'm never used that. Hope someone else on here can help.

Aim2912 · 01/11/2022 17:05

Hopefull1981 · 01/11/2022 17:18

Great news @Aim2912 that’s a great second beta. Got my frers. Do ya think these look any good? The lines are very thick on the test more so than the ones I had previously.
