@Crazyladywithacat I am in the same situation. I guess office people are just assuming I am eating takeaway every day and getting chubbier.
I am snacking at the my desk all day long as it is the only thing that keeps me going.
Las day at the office for me will be 23/12, which is nearly 12 weeks.

how are you all? I had my 8 week scan today: still have a heartbeat and baby is looking like a baby. It’s mad. I am now discharged from the clinic. I have my consultant scan in 2 weeks and harmony test on the 19th which comes with a scan. I think that should do me on the scan front 🙃

we have our Xmas party next week and it will definitely be noticed if I order non alcoholic drinks. I’ll need to figure something out. Clothes wise I doubt anyone would notice they are all men in my office.

We are keeping this one a surprise in terms of gender. What’s everyone else doing?

@Hopefull1981 looking good! Congrats. It’s good to have multiple reassurances. I’ve known for not drinking at work events so I think I’m good. Maybe mocktails? Or just order wine and only do tiny sips? Not sure if it’s too sensitive here but It never hurts to have a little wine here and there?

I had my 8.5 weeks scan yesterday, both twins still there, good heartbeats and looking much more like babies. They had legs and arms! Measuring well, only one day apart (9 weeks and 8+6 days).

I am trying to book the Harmony before week 11+4 days (price goes up after), hopefully will manage.

Great news on the scan @morganablue. Mine is booked for the 19th, I’ll be 10+5. We probably won’t get results back until after a Christmas/New Year.

how are you feeling? Any symptoms. I just have sore boobs. I don’t have food aversion but once I have lunch I don’t teach feel like eating again. I keep feeling full.

2 more weeks till my next scan. It’s torture. I kinda just want to tell everyone I’m pregnant because I just don’t feel good all the time so I don’t have to pretend. How come my belly so big already, I went back to my last pregnancy photos, my belly is like 16-20 weeks. Is it just full of 💩?🫣

I am going ok. Pretty symptomless. I have switched from progesterone injections to pessaries. I am not loving that at all. I have my consultant appointment next week. Was thinking of squeezing a scan in at the weekend. I have my Christmas party tomorrow and a wedding on Saturday. No time really. Other than that, it’s quite uneventful.

I have my holiday party tomorrow I hope I can fit in a dress. I have been wearing maternity jeans. I think I’m gonna do my NIPT next week so I can announce with no worries on Christmas Day. I envy symptomless

Will you get the results back? Mine is on the 19th and I will have to wait until the new year. I am wrecked the last feed days. Already in bed.

I’m hoping to take the test on Monday 12th. So hopefully within 2 weeks. I thought it was 1.5 weeks.

I am feeling super queasy and nauseous all day long (I haven't been sick though). Constipation and bad taste in mouth too. Tiredness.

Yesterday I had my first midwife appointment and it was unreal, like an out of body experience after TCC for ever. They have a twins specialist which will be the same throughout pregnancy.
They did have me some scary news though as they found proteins in my pee and my blood pressure was very surprisingly high, as never had an issue with. They have me a blood pressure e machine to measure daily and also prescriber blood pressure pills (which I am yet to take, as want to monitor first). It made me feel a bit down as I was already a bit apprehensive with twins and high blood pressure at week 9/10 is not something I was expecting.

They also booked me for the 12 weeks scan and blood test on the 22/12. They told me they tell you risk percentage straight away and if high risk, they perform a free harmony test called Safe test. I am temped to cancel my private test next week (got it booked for Wednesday, 10weeks 3 days) and just get the Safe test is chances come up high on the 22/12 (11 weeks 4 days).

Also harmony and safe test are less sensitive with twins (also cannot predict sex fully as they can only say if there are two baby girls or at least one baby boy).

A bit indecisive!

For the rest I also wish I could tell people as really struggling working full time at the minute. Feeling knackered and nauseous all day long.

@morganablue sorry about the blood pressure hopefully it would come down and remain stable. Is it common for people who has twins? Yea I totally understand the gender test, since they are just finding dna in mother’s blood. If they find Y you will at least have one boy, if no Y both girls. But still good intel?

I'm also so sick and tired all the time. Trying very hard not to show at work. Have way more smell aversion this time. Many many things make me gag including the smell of cheerios. Also haven’t been eating meat, just don’t want it. I don’t remember it being this hard but my husband says it was this bad the first time, I just don’t remember. definitely don’t want to be pregnant again if I can successfully have this baby. Don’t even want to feel this way again.

on a positive note, all the discomfort is my only prove that I’m still pregnant. Sometimes I wonder if everything is going ok in there since the last time I got a peek was almost 1 month ago.

@Crazyladywithacat 🙏🏼 thanks. I have started taking blood pressure pills and thankfully has gone right down to normal levels. I am coming off steroids soon (IVF protocol), which should help.
I am also feeling absolutely crap, queasy and nauseous all day long 😭 trying to organise our work Xmas party for 30 people and I feel like death 😂 also haven't told colleagues (aside from bosses) and can barely fit in my clothes.
Got few items on Vinted.

Tomorrow we have the harmony test and will also do a scan which is included in the price, so we get to see how the twins are developing, hoping they are still both doing well 🤞🏼

Most IVF meds which i am so happy about but also it's scary, as it feels it's helping him keeping them safe, but I guess a lot it's psychological.

@morganablue hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. I have been off meds since 8 weeks, I was very happy about that. I went in to do NIPT blood work today but didn’t get a scan. My scan is next Wed, I can’t wait. Hopefully result will be back next week too so I can announce to the family on Christmas Day. Yes tell work I’m January. It’s been challenging to hide tho

How are you? Had my consultant appointment today. Measuring 9w6 (10 weeks day) C section already booked. I have the harmony appointment next Monday. I think we might find out the sex. Not sure yet. 10 working days for the result is going to be a long wait.

@Crazyladywithacat It will be so nice to announce on Xmas day. You are off all meds? I am still on everything until 14 weeks, although I am now on pessaries not progesterone injections.

@morganablue Sorry to read you were having blood pressure issues. I am glad the tablets are working. Good Luck with the Harmony Test, I hope you got to see your twinnies. Symptom wise, I still only have sore boobs. Work is nuts, and I am exhausted, but that could also be a symptom.

It's so weird to see the baby moving around, mine is starting to look like a baby :-)

@Hopefull1981 maybe it’s American practice? Both pregnancies I was on the vaginal insert from 3 days before transfer to 8 weeks. Then nothing. Because of my age (37) I probably need to be on baby aspirin like last time. I also needed to take vitamin D last time but I haven’t heard any instructions yet. look at that little bean, I can’t wait to see it again and see how much she has grown. We are going to the Christmas dinner at a cousin’s house with everyone there so we plan to have my son wear a shirt that says ‘big brother under construction. Estimated completion July 2023’ that’s how we will announce it. Hope everything looks good with the scan next week and the test comes back with good result.

Hi Ladies, how is everyone? I had my harmony test today. For those that had it in the UK, how long did it take to get the results? I feel my results will be delayed due to Christmas leave. They have to go to the fetal clinic who took them, and then they post them out.

We had an early nuchal scan yesterday and all was as it should be with baby. I still can’t believe it’s happening. It still doesn’t feel real.

I had my scan too early n 22/12 and all was well. Twins were still there, adjusted risk for me was 1 in a bit more than 8000 for down sindrome and 1 in less than 20,000 for the rest. I should repeat my harmony that came back inconclusive, they explained that often with twins it happens especially at 10 weeks and won't IVF in general.
I am actually indecisive if I want to or if I get money back as risk on the NT was so very low. 🤷🏻‍♀️ what do you think?

how are you all? Hope keeping well. @morganablue I did get the results low risk (1/10000) for all 3. We were happy given my age and my history I was expecting to be hit with bad news. How about you?

I haven’t had a scan in so long I booked myself in for one today. I am having cramping pain on and off the last week, I didn’t have it with my little girl but I am wondering is it down to c section? I say cramping but sometime it can be so sharp.

I am back with the consultant next week and it’s my final week of meds. Are you guys taking folic acid for the whole pregnancy?

how is everyone doing? I had my 14 week appointment yesterday. Baby looking good measuring bang on the dates and has healthy heart rate. I still cannot shake the anxiety.

my consultant has also scheduled my c section. Looks like a June baby for me. He will do it at 37w6d. So I will be starting maternity leave earlier.
