I can’t see a thread for anyone doing egg collection early November so thought I’d start one.
had my nurses appointment earlier this week to set out my plan with EC on 7/11 - eek. It’s my first NHS round (we were going to do it in April but I didn’t feel ready).
I was due to start period yesterday but it hasn’t happened and hoping it starts today, the clinic said there was some wiggle room but not much. Why is it I can usually predict it to the hour and when you need it to start it doesn’t 🤯
I would love to chat to anyone else with EC early Nov as DH is already fed up of me talking about it - it’s going to be a long 6 weeks!

Thelotusflower · 14/12/2022 21:13

Aw @NorthernDuckling Im so sorry you are goijg through a tough time. Here if you want to vent. Its hard enough as it is without other family problems. Hope you are able to take some time for yourself and get through this Christmas period.

Thank you@NorthernDuckling and @hopefullsosbry for your best wishes.

I had a few twinges on my left side and trying to analyse them as a good sign!

@Nat4819 Hope you are doing ok.

hopefullsosbry · 15/12/2022 00:38

@Thelotusflower fingers crossed that’s it implanting 🤞🏽💖

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 10:02

@Nat4819 @Thelotusflower I'm a day behind you and had my transfer Tuesday so fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏼

I've been having like a tugging cramping sensation in my lower abdomen following transfer but I'm trying not to look into every symptom.

I'm trying so hard to remain positive (and happy on the advice of my clinic) but I don't want to be too positive and then have further to fall if it's unsuccessful.

It's so difficult isn't it, I just want to test already 🤣

NS05 · 15/12/2022 12:02

Ah fingers crossed @MammyandAva @Thelotusflower @Nat4819 when are you all testing?!

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 12:04

@NS05 my official test date is the 26th so Boxing Day 🫣

I think it's going to be extremely difficult holding off until then though

NS05 · 15/12/2022 12:15

Omg that is a while @MammyandAva I did it at 5dp5dt I couldn't wait 🤣

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 12:30

@NS05 5 days post transfer? I assumed it wouldn't show anything at that point. If I remember correctly you did FET too didn't you?

As I said, I'm not convinced I'll make it to Boxing Day without testing 🤣 but I want to try and go as long as I can to try and get more accurate results as I don't have the option to do another round after this 😭😭

NS05 · 15/12/2022 12:36

@MammyandAva yes my progesterone dropped (my clinic tests 4dpt) so I thought it hadn't worked so wanted to test. I got a faint line. I read you can usually get one at 7dp5dt on frer as it's technically 12dpo but obviously just wait if you feel more comfortable! Mine was a fet yes x

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 12:42

@NS05 it's bizzare because throughout the whole process I havent had any bloods done (except when I had my initial consultation)

I asked my clinic if I would have bloods done following the transfer (as I read on here that most people do) but they said no it's just the pregnancy test.

I haven't had any tests to check my progesterone levels 😳

NS05 · 15/12/2022 12:46

@MammyandAva mine always like it over 100 so 4dp5dt mine dropped to 65 (from 85) and they made me take an additional
Injection. It probably is overly cautious as I don't think most people do this! I also had one at the same time as my pregnancy test. Wish you all the best of luck!

Nat4819 · 15/12/2022 17:51

@MammyandAva Fingers crossed for you!! How are you feeling so far?

@NS05 My OTD is also the 26th Dec, but I'm seriously debating testing early. DH thinks we shouldn't test until OTD but I think I would prefer to test early, so I have more time to come to terms with it if it doesn't work out if that makes sense?

Thelotusflower · 15/12/2022 18:38

@MammyandAva So glad you updated as i was thinking of you, cos originally i though we would be aroubd the same ine and there were so many posts since then, that I couldnt remember your dates. Great news. Hioe transfer went well.

@MammyandAva and @Nat4819 my OTD is 25th December! Just just a days difference. So good to be at the exact same place as you both. Hope you are both ok.

@NS05 and @hopefullsosbry Thanks.

So I have never tested early before but I am for two reasons. One as @Nat4819 said, I want to be prepared if it is negative. Dont want AF to tell me.

But secondly and more importantly, I have never had a positive (or maybe I have? Who knows) so this time I want to know if it actually implants or not, as that would be valuable infornation for me moving forward.

Everyone deals with things differently, but I would definitely want to know if i was ever pregnant. Also, if it is positive and the line gets lighter, I want to know so I can (maybe?) Do something about it in time. Anyway, thats my reasoning.

So... I tested on the morning of the transfer, negative, so hoping no HCG from trigger shot.

Then 2dp5dt- Negative
Then 3dp5dt- Negative

Im going to continue every day .

@NS05 how are you feeling?

hopefullsosbry · 15/12/2022 18:53

@Thelotusflower hopefully you see a positive in the next few days, it’s so exciting 🤞🏽🤞🏽Best of luck to all 3 in the two weeks wait Xxx

Thelotusflower · 15/12/2022 19:06

@hopefullsosbry thank you so much.

NS05 · 15/12/2022 19:26

@Thelotusflower I was the same I'd rather prepare myself and know so I don't blame you at all. One thing I regret was testing 2 days after my positive and comparing the lines as I made myself so sick with worry so I think once you get a positive maybe just go for bloods.

Yes I'm feeling ok just tired, had a scan on Sat which kept me calm but starting to feel anxious again. I have another one in 2 weeks 🙏

NS05 · 15/12/2022 19:27

@MammyandAva @Thelotusflower @Nat4819 hoping for Xmas bfps for all of you!!

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 19:40

@Thelotusflower @Nat4819 thank you. I'm feeling ok, a few twinges and tugging feeling but not sure if I'm just looking into things too much.

How are you both feeling?

🤞🏼 Christmas is a lucky one for us all 🎄

MammyandAva · 15/12/2022 19:41

@NS05 I have emailed my clinic and they have booked me in for bloods next Thursday

NS05 · 15/12/2022 20:26

Oh great news @MammyandAva!

Thelotusflower · 15/12/2022 22:26

Great news @MammyandAva .

@NS05 Thanks for the advice. My clinic dont do bloods as routine, but im sure they would if i asked as i am paying privately. It really helped knowing you and others got a positive at 5dp5dt.

Im getting twinges where i think my ovary would be? Is that likely just my ovaries settling do you think ladies? I also got a tiny tiny bit of brown discharge just now and hoping it is implantation and not AF.

I feel strangely positive, but could just be over analysing. So we'll see. I think a few more says and I will probably know either way.

Thelotusflower · 16/12/2022 07:29

4dp5dt- negative

Continuing to have twinges in the same place (near left ovary) and a little brown discharge (twice) so surprised and disappointed with the negative. Will test again tomorrow.Hopefully it changes.

Used a clear blue '6 days before period' test as well 🤔

hopefullsosbry · 16/12/2022 08:28

@Thelotusflower I guess it can still be a little early to get a positive .. I think it’s from day 5 that the blast finish implanting and starts to produce HGC so you wouldn’t show quite yet I don’t think? Best of luck 🤞🏽

hopefullsosbry · 16/12/2022 08:29

@Thelotusflower this shows you each day and what to expect after transfer …

Nat4819 · 16/12/2022 08:31

@Thelotusflower I've read on here that First Response Early Result tests are better than the digital Clearblue early tests as the latter requires a higher amount of HCG to show a positive, maybe try testing with a First Response?
