I can’t see a thread for anyone doing egg collection early November so thought I’d start one.
had my nurses appointment earlier this week to set out my plan with EC on 7/11 - eek. It’s my first NHS round (we were going to do it in April but I didn’t feel ready).
I was due to start period yesterday but it hasn’t happened and hoping it starts today, the clinic said there was some wiggle room but not much. Why is it I can usually predict it to the hour and when you need it to start it doesn’t 🤯
I would love to chat to anyone else with EC early Nov as DH is already fed up of me talking about it - it’s going to be a long 6 weeks!

Hi, sorry been quite, my beta yesterday was 150 so it’s a positive, still very anxious as had the 3 miscarriages at 5 weeks and I am 4+2 today so I just hope it last over the week 5 mark !

So sorry to hear @NorthernDuckling , it’s so heart breaking, I had 3 transfers that failed (this is my 4th) it’s really hard and you very strong having such positivity to go forward ❤️ Here if you need to talk.

Good luck to those testing tomorrow, I have another beta on Friday to check the levels are rising as they should .. then my scan in December so am just hoping all will be ok, I had a pregnancy 3 years ago which showed no heart beat at the scan so it’s not going to be an easy another two week wait for scan 🫤

hope I can put your mind at ease, just when you mentioned this was your best blastocyst, we had an A transferred first then the B , then a C , and this one that ‘so far’ has worked was a C , just to give you a little hope that the grading of the blast doesn’t always determine the outcome, I have heard others best graded once not working and the poorer grades working, also some say frozen embryo transfer seem to have higher rates than fresh transfer , as your body is still adjusting to all the injections etc from EC, so not all hope is lost yet and really hope your next frozen will stick and work for you 🥰

@SarahJane10 Hmm, I'm not sure, I guess taking another test will be the only way to know?

Amazing news @hopefullsosbry 150 is a fab number! I also had a miscarriage last time and honestly have ptsd from the scan as I had a MMC and had no idea the babies heartbeat stopped. It's so hard to be positive, I feel tonight I've driven myself insane with the no symptoms 🤦‍♀️ glad we have eachother as this wait is unbearable. I guess it isn't in our hands and just have to think 'today I am pregnant'

@NS05 yes I had a MMC also, I was 11 weeks but still had symptoms etc , went for the scan and they told me the fetus measured 5 weeks and stop developing, but my placenta etc had all carried on developing, she said at the time that the hormones come from the placenta so that’s why I still had symptoms even though it was not developing anymore, it was after the scan it all came away the next weknd naturally, so even with symptoms there can still be something not right and not know, not trying to be negative there, just that you are so right, it’s out of our hands and there’s nothing we can do except stay positive and eat healthy etc ..

I have taken time off work until I get the scan just to take it easy but I dunno if it’s worse being off as my partner and all my friends etc are at work so it’s pretty lonely through the day and I dunno if I am thinking more about things .. 😵‍💫 just have so many emotions/worries etc and it should be a happy moment but we are scared to get excited so just taking each step as it comes , so close this time though 🤞🏽

Am sure your no symptoms will be ok, they can come and go but yes it’s so hard not to worry, someone needs to invent a digital pregnancy test that shows the HCG amount rather than just a line, they would make a fortune , and we could test once a week to reassure the HCG is increasing as it should 🙄😅

@hopefullsosbry I was the same at 10 weeks I found out the baby had stopped developing at 8 weeks (after seeing a heartbeat at 6)and was shocked as still had symptoms and had to have an op to remove it all. I think 8 weeks is a crucial milestone as apparently it changes from an embryo to a foetus so I think I'll only relax after that stage.

I'm also going to have scans like every 2 weeks which I know is mad but just for reassurance.

It's nice you have time off work just try to relax and do something nice for yourself! Hoping this works out for both of us 🙏

@NS05sorry for your loss, it musta have been so distressing after having a healthy heart beat etc.
I also was planning to book a scan every other week just to check everything, so it’s not too mad lol lots of luck and warmest wishes xx

@NS05 and @hopefullsosbry I am so sorry to hear of your journeys, it’s such a rollercoaster and causes so much anxiety for future pregnancies. it’s like treading a fine line between trying to be positive and hopeful as well as being practical in terms of all the tests/scans you have to go through to confirm everything is actually viable. I don’t think I’ll relax until a 12 week scan and I can’t even think that far right now. For now just focusing on bloods next week and will hope I tick that box. If I do and the results are going in the right direction then that will technically be the furthest I’ve ever got.

@SarahJane10 looks like a positive but yes I’d recommend taking a photo of it at the end of the 3 minutes so you can look back at the photo rather than looking back at the test itself. Fingers crossed for you!

BFN for me this morning. My clinic do a blood test regardless so I'll get those results this afternoon but quite confident I'm out.

Back to the drawing board as we have nothing in the freezer, so we're looking at about April to start again with the current wait time.

Good luck to everyone, I'm going to bow out for now and try and get back to normal life without thinking about IVF related stuff 24/7.

Hopefully I'm the rubbish statistic in this group and the rest of you get your BFP's.

Sorry to jump on this thread so late. I have only just found this forum which I wish I’d found earlier.

we have just done our 2nd cycle, egg collection was 12/11 got 5 eggs, 2 fertilised (eventually). We transferred two on Tuesday 15/11 1 embryo had only two cells and 1 embryo had 4 cells which ends they aren’t at the right stage for day 3 but transferred anyway.

I’m terrified for my blood test this Saturday as I think this is our final cycle as we are self funding. I’m so depressed at the moment my friend told me she was pregnant after egg collection and my partners gf is pregnant it’s so upsetting I feel heartbroken.

I’m convinced it will be negative on Saturday. Not got many symptoms just fuller breasts slightly sore, had some twinges past few days but all can be side effects.

Just don’t think I can take the negative result 😮

@Liddy82 welcome, wishing you lots of luck for your up coming test, we are also self funding so I know how it feels to have a dead line as such, I really hope you get the outcome you need, it must be hard knowing others so close to you are pregnant, keep your chin up and take care 🥰

Welcome @Liddy82 wish you all the best of luck! I'm 6.5 weeks and still have no symptoms other than tiredness so don't worry too much if you can! I don't think you'd feel anything so early on!

So I tested this morning and a BFN, gonna contact clinic to see when we can use our frozen one

@hopefullsosbry thank you and congratulations to you. I had same experience as yourself two mmc and every time I have a scan it’s like I’m transported back there. Thank you for your kind words.

@NS05 congratulations and thank you. I know symptoms are not always present and I didn’t have many on my other pregnancies but so hard not to look for them.

So sorry to hear this 😞 fingers crossed for your next FET, some statistics say there are higher success rates with frozen rather than fresh, I really hope you get your miracle next time round 💞
