I can’t see a thread for anyone doing egg collection early November so thought I’d start one.
had my nurses appointment earlier this week to set out my plan with EC on 7/11 - eek. It’s my first NHS round (we were going to do it in April but I didn’t feel ready).
I was due to start period yesterday but it hasn’t happened and hoping it starts today, the clinic said there was some wiggle room but not much. Why is it I can usually predict it to the hour and when you need it to start it doesn’t 🤯
I would love to chat to anyone else with EC early Nov as DH is already fed up of me talking about it - it’s going to be a long 6 weeks!

Sorry to hear about the last ivf. Such a hard thing as I just wanna test but if it's negative then I dunno what I'd do. I think it's still too early, but never been in this situation before. I might test on Wednesday as that's when 'my period is due' (hope I don't come on). Im having like on and off period pains all days. But again could be the progesterone what im on too. (3 times a day up the nunny)

I would say if you do test early - don’t take the result as gospel as things can change. It’s so tough though.

@Nat4819 thats great. Not long then til transfer. We might be similar, although I dobt have dates but im guessing (hoping) middle of december- if we get that far.

Everyone else- keep going, keep the faith.

I realised what I wrote could sound negative - so wanted to clarify by this I meant testing early and getting a negative result could change into a positive a few days later! 🤞

Is it still too early to test. I'm getting cramps but feel like period pain nothing else. My period is due on Wednesday

9th day from transfer. Feel like I'm gonna have my period, and feel defeated

I transferred on 12th November

Mine showed a faint line 8 days after transfer, it did give me some reassurance.
you can do if you want, but it might stress you more if it doesnt show and it may be a false negative cuz its too soon, buuut your choice 🩵

I might do one in the morning to see as they say your ore is strongest

@SarahJane10 I feel the same today - like my period is gonna come in the next few days. I went to Asda tonight to get some tests (I nearly broke) - I’m only 7dp5dt but they didn’t have any early response tests so I took it was a sign to go home (sound crazy don’t I!)

When did you transfer?

I did first response from 5dp5dt and got very faint line, most people I know have gotten something with first response from 7dp5dt so I think it would show! I also felt like I was going to come on my period as got normal heavy feeling in uterus!

@SarahJane10 only a week ago but it was 5 days after transfer. My official test day is Wednesday which will be 2 weeks after my egg collection. I’ve had a small bit of brown blood when I wiped tonight too alongside some cramps. Which doesn’t feel me with confidence.
I am scared of testing as feel like I just can’t deal with a negative - as this my third cycle. But think I’m gonna try stay strong til Wednesday as I think I’ll get myself in a tizz if I test early. Need to try and keep busy!

My period started this afternoon so I’m going to call the clinic tomorrow morning, still going to do pessaries tonight and tomorrow morning because they said not to stop until they said but can’t see the point in continuing.

At least I have the day off tomorrow, I’m going to cancel Friday’s holiday because I don’t need it and instead use the day doing a spa with my mum in December. Also going to drink the bottle of champagne I’ve had in the fridge since September and feel genuinely sorry for myself. My mums on holiday so can’t even go and see her tomorrow.

Yeah my egg retrieval will be 2 weeks on Wednesday. I've not had any discharge at all. Just think I've failed 😞

Hi everyone. Just to jump on the negative bandwagon I'm also feeling really deflated.
My test date is Wednesday, I'm booked in for bloods at 8am and will get the results that afternoon, but I think I'll test that morning as I'd rather be prepared if it's going to be negative.

Not really had any symptoms other than the odd cramp here and there. I'm technically late for my period as I have quite short cycles, but I've read that the progesterone sometimes delays your period.

Hope everyone is doing ok. This whole process is so consuming, can't wait to have my life back for a while one way or another.
