I’m preparing to start my treatment cycle in a month or so and thought it might be helpful to start up a thread for anyone heading for FET soon.

This will be my first FET so I’m nervous but also feeling hopeful having gone through a fair amount of testing and treatment. Think I’m about as prepared as I’ll ever be!

Current cycle finally got going two days ago after a bit of a delay and I’ve decided to use it to focus on eating well and getting into the right headspace.

Anyone at a similar stage and want some company?

@MyEasterEggs so happy for you!!! It’s such an amazing feeling seeing that! Glad everything is all ok.
im discharged from my clinic now so no scan due until nhs 12 wk scan. So I’ve booked one for 3 November when we’ll be 9 1/2 weeks just to make sure everything is ok

Bookbug92 · 21/10/2022 14:51

Amazing news @MyEasterEggs!

I'm in symptom spotting hell, currently 10dp5dt and it sounds silly but I'm convinced it's worked.. which makes me all the more terrified to test as I know that will likely burst my bubble!

dlkiik · 22/10/2022 10:13

@MyEasterEggs congratulations on your scan 🥰
I have an early scan on Monday at 6weeks 1 day. The spotting panicked me although logically I know it was highly likely from the pessarys I know Monday will hopefully bring some relief x

SarahC1985 · 22/10/2022 11:23

What amazing news go wake up go this morning @MyEasterEggs !!! Another milestone down! ❤️❤️❤️

MyEasterEggs · 23/10/2022 08:55

Thanks everyone. It’s been nice to have a relatively stress-free weekend though I know the anxiety will be back ahead of the next scan in two weeks. I was offered weekly appointments but we decided it was just going to affect my nerves too much!

It’s also been confirmed my care will be consultant led so that’s a relief.

Good luck tomorrow @dlkiik 💛

When do you test @Bookbug92?

That’s positive news @LT103 🙂

Hope the rest of you are doing well as you await news, scans etc!

Oh! Quick question. Is anyone considering NIPT? The Harmony test is available to me locally but I’m now wondering about the Panorama or SAFE test. If we have a positive experience at the 8 weeks scan I think I’ll book one for 10 weeks.

@MyEasterEggs yes I’ve been reading into it but I don’t know what to do. Thinking about doing bloods along with my 12 week scan but I’m going to discuss it with the midwife at my first appt

OrangeBengal · 23/10/2022 10:05

So this is it, implantation for the first time ever. Not sure which of the many new things worked - acupuncture, the right level of progesterone, prednisolone, clexane, aspirin, visualisation techniques and / or sex the day before transfer!! Who knows, but I will remain zen and positive and hopefully they’ll decide to stick around!

Thanks @MyEasterEggs, we’re pretty stoked :) I’m going to test up until OTD now (Saturday) and then I’ll leave it. Hopefully I’ll see progress.

LT103 · 23/10/2022 13:50

@OrangeBengal amazing news!!!!! So happy for you!!!!

Bookbug92 · 23/10/2022 14:19

Congratulations @OrangeBengal what amazing news! I will keep my fingers firmly crossed that your line keeps progressing 🤞🏻

I decided I couldn't take the waiting any longer so I tested today (11dp5dt) and we have our very first BFP 🥰 this must be a lucky thread!

Thanks so much @OrangeBengal and @MyEasterEggs 😊

SarahC1985 · 23/10/2022 16:52

@OrangeBengal @Bookbug92 woohoo! These are the best messages to wake up to congrats to you both!

@MyEasterEggs I think I'm going to do quad test, but did consider harmony. I've seen some false positives with harmony in work though so it really put me off!

chloedancer88 · 23/10/2022 16:53

Changed my name btw (it was SarahC) in case anyone gets confused!

dlkiik · 23/10/2022 17:22

I love seeing all the good news on the thread 🥰
Well the clinic brought my appointment forward to today and at 6 weeks we saw the heartbeat flickering away. I feel a lot of relief for now!

MyEasterEggs · 23/10/2022 17:48

@chloedancer88 it’s likely I’ll do Panorama or SAFE over Harmony. I’m leaning towards the latter I think as it’s similar to Harmony but with more detailed scan and results are processed in London.

Oh @dlkiik that’s amazing news! It’s the best feeling. So your due date is 18th June?

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 23/10/2022 17:54

Can somebody send me some of the luck from this thread... cycle day 32, light light spotting (only when I check!) cycle before egg collection was 44 days hoping it's not the same again. Excited but beginning to feel frustrated

Hope everybody is good! X

dlkiik · 23/10/2022 21:43

Yep 18th June @MyEasterEggs , my next scan is 4th November, no doubt I'll start worrying again before that lol.
I was so nervous in the waiting area I could of been sick and felt so relieved after!
The progesterone is still causing my irritation and I looked back on my last protocol that resulted in my son and I wasn't on as high dose as I am now so I'm going to call and check that tomorrow!

MyEasterEggs · 24/10/2022 04:47

@dlkiik I know it’s not for everyone but anyone I’ve known have irritation from doing it vaginally has switched to rectally and it’s made a difference. Reduces chances of infection too. So something to consider. I have a history of UTI and endometritis though so am super cautious!

@RMS0209 hope this is it for you and your cycle can get going soon!

OP posts:
OrangeBengal · 24/10/2022 11:06

Personally I find doing pessaries rectally less messy and less life disruptive @dlkiik

Re the different tests, I understood the Harmony to be the best one for Downs and the standard NHS one best for Edwards and Pataus, so plan to just test for these specific things for each test???? What do the Panorama and SAFE test for? Have you already PGS tested?

Kelvie103 · 24/10/2022 12:48

Congratulations @OrangeBengal and @Bookbug92 , I wish you both loads of luck and healthy pregnancies!

I've been booked in for my scan on the 9th when I'll be just over 7 weeks so it seems quite late. However I'm really worrying right now if I'll even make it that far. I did my finger prick blood test on thursday and it came up very faint. Did another urine test that evening and its slightly darker than monday's but still not as dark as I felt it should be. Did another with the same test this morning and it was very faint. Contacted my clinic and they've got me in for hcg blood tests which they don't normally do as standard. Had one this morning and the next wednesday and should know by friday what's going on.

Came home really upset and did anther test with a different test that I had left over from what the clinic gave me after my iuis last year and with alot less concentrated wee than this morning and its alot darker again. I know I can't really compare different tests but I'm so confused what's going on. I'm all out of tests now and not sure if I should go and buy some more. I still don't have any symptoms, my sore boobs have almost completely gone now and I've not even had any cramping since saturday. Should I get one of those weeks indicators or should I just wait until friday and my hcg results? I'm 5 weeks now, I thought all the tests should be dark by now. Here's a picture, I just really don't feel hopeful right now.
