@PMAmostofthetime yeah exactly, I don’t think I want to find out, I really want the surprise as like you said nothing has been a surprise in this journey, but then like you I want to be buying boy/girl outfits and not just unisex so I’m unsure!! My husband REALLY wants to find out though so we probably will as he wants to find out more than I don’t want to find out if that makes sense 🙈

@LKSF how was your scan? I was going to ask yesterday but we finished the moving just after midnight and had no energy for anything 🙃

@Dobcaty It went well thank you for asking 🥰 we went round to all our families after to tel them the news and it’s all starting to feel a bit more real now. Aww yay you’re finally in 👏🏼 Is it transfer day today?

So we had the transfer yesterday, the little one survived the thaw, was already hatching by the time of transfer. Sadly DH couldn't be in the room as the traffic was huge (we were late) and had no free parking space in the whole unit, so he was listening over on the phone (felt weird).
No symptoms what so ever so far, but I'm sure I will try to find one soon 😊🤫

@LKSF @PMAmostofthetime my other half doesn't want to know but I do...but obviously if he doesn't want to know then I guess we'll just have to wait! I did try to talk him round saying it's still a surprise, just you find out at a different time! But I guess it will be all neutral purchases! 2 more weeks until my nhs 12 week scan, I think I'll be 12w4d by then 😍

@LKSF glad all went well with the scan! I bet there were lots of tears when you told everyone! 🥰

Thanks girls, but sadly I can't spot anything. No twinges or cramping or bloating or sore boobs...nothing! Today was the first morning when I didn't need to rush anywhere and just realised that actually I can't feel a thing! Ohh gosh it's going to be a long 10 days...

@Dobcaty honestly try not to let that put you into a negative mindset. I had no symptoms that early on, in fact I only started feeling really tired, nauseous and headaches from 12weeks x

@PMAmostofthetime Is everything ok with you? Did your scan go ok? 🙏🏻🙏🏻 x

@LKSF thank you, I know you're right, probably the rainy weather to blame for it 😅 I'm back to cleaning the old flat now so that helps me relax a bit. DH planned a lots of things for the next few days to keep my mind busy.

@Dobcaty I never had any symptoms! Maybe just one sharp pain that I thought in hindsight was implantation. But aside from that only progesterone symptoms. Keep busy and hopefully the time will pass. When is OTD?

@Coops0406 @LKSF thank you for your reassuring. My OTD is on the 10th Oct, way too long to wait, so probably will test early if I can find the only test in the thousand boxes 😅

@Dobcaty I’ve been struck down with a cold, cough and sore throat 😴😴 feeling a bit better today though so hopefully it doesn’t last too long!! How’s the unpacking going?
Not social media….I know how it felt for me when I seen pregnancy announcements so I don’t want to make someone else feel like that x

@Dobcaty oh no! Like finding a needle in a haystack!! How many days past transfer are you now?

We told everyone at my 40th party! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I had to do a speech and I blurted it out! We were only 5 weeks, and then when we had our scan at the ivf clinic at 7w4d and there was a heartbeat I made a little video and put it on fb (I did put sensitive post fertility in capitals at the top too so people who didn't want to see it could ignore it) We've been very open with our journey, which had mostly been fails so when we got our first bit of positive news in over 3 years we thought it deserved acknowledgment! But it's nice as I have lots of friends, old and new, who have come to me as they're about to start ivf so I think it's helped them too. Plus I find it too stressful having to hide things. We figured the outcome isn't going to be any different whether we tell people or not, but at least we know we have so much support whatever happens ❤️ so many people willing this baby on and saying prayers 🥰

@PMAmostofthetime how was the scan? Hope all is well 🥰

@LKSF oh no! Hope the cold shifts along quickly! How are you doing aside from that?

@LKSF hope you'll feel better soon. My grandma always made a fresh ginger honey lemon tea and put us under the duvet and we were fine by next day (not fan of the ginger though)
The unpacking well...my mind is everywhere, we went to Ikea yesterday to buy the bits and bobs and obviously I left all the measurement at home. I was pretty sure I could remember them, turns out we have a trip today back as nothing fits 🤫😂 haha

@Coops0406 yes I remembered now your announcement, it was soo heartwarming!It's so sensitive from you, others who were not been in this journey could not understand it!

@Dobcaty I also think that many women are secretly battling infertility so when I see any announcements I always think I don't know the back story or how long it's taken for them to get there and everyone deserves to celebrate their happiness...which helps trying not to feel so bad yourself. Don't get me wrong, I've found it hard, but as we know all babies are little miracles so I try to always keep that at the forefront 🥰

@Dobcaty thank you, I’ve been drinking Pukka Herbs Lemon, Ginger and Honey Tea with Elderberry Syrup. I think I’ll be fine tomorrow 🤞🏼
@Coops0406 Apart from the cold I’m feeling ok thank you, I was waking up with headaches all last week but it says that’s common around 13weeks as you have increased blood flow! I’m trying to calculate when to book my next private scan as the thought of waiting another 7weeks for my nhs 20week one panics me 🙈. How are you feeling?

@LKSF I was thinking I may book a 16 week private scan? Then it's only 4 weeks inbetween scans. I don't know what happens after 20 weeks but my notes say fundal height measurement at 26-28 weeks (no idea what that means) then serial scans at 32,35 and 38 weeks (I'm guessing because I'm 40 and also have shown up as medium risk 🤷🏾‍♀️)
So I think I'll go 16 weeks then if the rest are scans I should be okay with that...I think!!
Have you got anything in your notes about after 20 week scan?

@LKSF scan went well all good so far- on our way out bumped into people we know with the all telling green file 🙈. Had to swear them to secrecy as we had not told anyone!

The only symptoms I had was progesterone ones. The reason I suspected was on the failed cycle my period started 9dp5dt. So when it didn't show 9dp5dt- I tested.

I've told both our parents telling our brothers and sisters and close Auntys and Uncles and best friends today then I will send a message in the family WhatsApp and our friends WhatsApp sometime in the week- nothing on social media for me.

I'll tell my team in work at my next team meeting- but one team member struggling with fertility- I'll share with before hand via message and let her know my plan.

That's it for announcing- it still feels unreal and like we shouldn't be telling anyone- I cried at the scan as even though we had early ones the baby looked like a baby this time and was moving and opening and closing their mouth.

@PMAmostofthetime oh gosh, how awkward! All my stuff is on an app so won't have to walk round with an obvious "I'm pregnant" folder!
I'm full of a cold and every time I sneeze or blow my nose I keep getting the sharp pains. I know that's nothing major but it does scare you!
So pleased your scan was amazing! Honestly, I think the amount the grow is ridiculous and each scan from now will just get better and better...especially when you'll be able to feel them 😍

@PMAmostofthetime Aww so glad your scan went great, I was getting worried when we hadn’t heard from you! So unlucky you bumped into someone you knew but hopefully they’ll keep your little secret safe!

@Coops0406 I caved and booked a 16week scan….counting down the days already!! I’ll attach a picture of what mine says, although think this is more of a general guideline rather than individual as the midwife did say to me I’d get more scans because it’s ivf 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll ask her more when I go at my 16week appointment.

@LKSF that's a great breakdown...mine's almost in code...just one long paragraph!
Ahh, i think it's a great inbetween one to have, we definitely will.
I've got covid at the moment which isn't great! More like a bad cold apart from the pools of sweat and slight headaches. Hoping it calms down soon though! And hoping they'll still let me in for my 12 week scan next Wednesday! 🤞🏾
