Anybody having FET July or August?

Just waiting for my next cycle to start after a freeze all cycle. It should've been here last week but seems to be delayed so I feel like it's just a ticking clock. This will be my first FET, first ever transfer actually.

Anybody else in the same boat and want to keep me company?

@Rtmhwales don't be thinking that way. Focus on staying hydrated and I was kinda like you thinking it wasn't going to work first time. So glad everything going OK. Let me know your date of transfer. Are your family still over?

l@WildSheep i was worried that mine wouldn't thaw ok but i just kept reminding myself that this is done thousands of times and it's not common and we would be ok.

everyone keep hydrated

Saltisford · 19/07/2022 07:06

Hi All, I thought I would join the thread as I am on day three of injecting buserelin. I suppose the actual transfer will be in August.

This is my first FET from ICSI that we had in 2019 at Coventry CRM which resulted in my son! We have two frozen embryos. I’m getting my head back round everything!

ChristmasJumpers · 19/07/2022 13:31

@WildSheep I was so worried mine wouldn't survive the thaw but the stats really are in your favour with that. Is it tomorrow? Good luck!!

@Agapanthus13 How are you finding the pessaries? I haven't had to do blood thinning injections, are they okay?

@Rtmhwales Ahhh I drive myself mad with statistics and irrational thoughts! I wish I had advice but I'm just as bad. Have you been given your date yet? Good luck!!!

I braved a digital test today as the FRER line was stronger. Pregnant 1-2 weeks!!! Finaly let myself have a proper happy cry about it and get excited 😆

Rtmhwales · 19/07/2022 16:24

@ParkerH1 and @ChristmasJumpers when do you get the official ultrasound?

I feel like even if it works and even though the first two we plan to use have been PGT A tested and came back normal I'll be super stressed about miscarriage (I had 3 in 11 months which is why we are here). I dread ultrasounds.

I got my transfer date for next week, 25 July on Monday! Just trying to wrap my head around only six days to go. I start progesterone injections tomorrow every 3rd day in the butt. Not looking forward to that, I stupidly thought I was done injections with my trigger and it would be pessaries only from there on out! But it's both. The things we put ourselves through for this!

I'm so happy you two have had your success (and any others who've joined me here during this time) and hope you'll keep checking back in on the rest of us and giving us hope on this journey.

@Rtmhwales exciting times! Best of luck for Monday. I can completely understand your worries after what you've been through. Hopefully with closer monitoring you'll have success. Will they be keeping a closer eye on you?

I won't get my scan date until I ring them on Saturday, hopefully with good news 🤞

ParkerH1 · 19/07/2022 20:17

Congratulations @ChristmasJumpers . The next 2 weeks will fly by.

@Rtmhwales yeah I understand where your coming from and ofcourse were all in this together now :)
Will they monitor you more?

My scan is the 4th August which will be 7 weeks I'm nervous but excited.

WildSheep · 20/07/2022 10:38

@ChristmasJumpers you were right - our little blast survived the thaw yesterday!

We had a bit of a nightmare journey to the clinic in the back of an Uber in 40 degree heat, trying to convince him if he put up all the windows, the A/C would work but no luck!

After the hot journey there I was concerned that I'd sweated out the half a litre of water I'd had, so downed another bottle in the waiting room - I was absolutely bursting by the time I laid down and she pressed the ultrasound thingy over my bladder! Our 5 day blast was hatching by the time they put it in, and she said my lining looked great too.

Was such a lovely (if not slightly mad!) experience though.

Saltisford · 20/07/2022 20:34

Hi everyone… thinking of you all with your transfers!

I just wondered if anyone has hit a stumbling block - a national shortage of buserelin! I’ve realised that my meds’ expiry date is July 2022 but will need to continue using it into August… and I may not be able to get more? Anyone experiencing the same? Apparently there is an alternative drug if necessary?

thislittlebird · 20/07/2022 20:44

@Saltisford my friend on another thread in conception has had this issue. She’s had to choose whether to switch to short protocol or delay a month.

Saltisford · 20/07/2022 21:05

@thislittlebird thanks for the reply - is she having a FET or IVF?

thislittlebird · 20/07/2022 21:49

@Saltisford ivf, it’s her first cycle. She’s on a thread called “fertility appointments and beyond” with me, if you wanted to seek her out to chat about any of it.

Katerina79 · 21/07/2022 07:37

So I'm day 6 after FET and couldn't wait any longer .. hhmm a faint 2nd line ?? Got bloods on Monday

Anybody having FET July or August?
Agapanthus13 · 21/07/2022 08:55

@Katerina79 ahhh how exciting. Def a faint line there 🙌 what a lovely sight xxx Not long to wait for your bloods xx

Katerina79 · 21/07/2022 08:59

Not telling anyone till its official ..🤫 this site is such a safe space however .

WildSheep · 21/07/2022 09:14

@Katerina79 def see a line there! I suspect on a FRER it would be even stronger! xx

Katerina79 · 21/07/2022 09:33

Yeah I might nip to chemist and try again Saturday this was just a free test from clinic

Roobles79 · 21/07/2022 17:03

Hello ladies can I join? I had my embryo transfer today it was a frozen medicated cycle. They told us it was 85% after the thaw and a good quality embryo. No idea what the 85% means. Does anyone know? Tentative congratulations to the positive testers on here. X

Rtmhwales · 21/07/2022 17:44

@Katerina79 oh that's so exciting! Congrats.

Do they just do one blood test or do they do several to make sure they're rising?

I started the dreaded progesterone in oil injections last night and ouch, limping everywhere today. Wasn't expecting that. Slow countdown now to my transfer!

@Katerina79 That looks promising and so exciting - fingers crossed for you!

@Roobles79 Welcome! I also had a frozen transfer today with a medicated cycle! What day are you due to test? Is this your first cycle? From my understanding, after freezing and thawing there is often a small number of cells that aren't fully intact. I was told that anything over 70% is considered good so 85% is great! Do you have anything nice planned for your 2ww?

thislittlebird · 21/07/2022 20:08

Yeah the percentages are just how in tact they are, I think? My first one was 100% and they were very excited to tell me this, but it failed. This one is 75% and I’m hoping that’s a luckier number.

Roobles79 · 21/07/2022 21:24

@Rosemary121 thanks, hope yours went well too. Thanks for the explanation that makes sense. How are you feeling? This is my first frozen transfer, had a fresh cycle 2019 and was very lucky to conceive my daughter, this one transferred today is the only other embryo we had left. I feel relieved it's been out back now and just the waiting. It's nice to have some company as I haven't told any family or friends, as I didn't want the pressure or overwhelm if that makes sense. Hope you are doing okay. I will be working and having a few nice days in between, nothing fancy really. Just say to day stuff and will try to relax a bit. How about you is this your first fet?

Roobles79 · 22/07/2022 07:12

@thislittlebird thank you, fingers crossed this one is a good one too. When do you have to test?

Agapanthus13 · 22/07/2022 09:00

@Roobles79 welcome to the group! I also had a FET yesterday so we’re transfer twins 🙌 there’s a couple of us who went in yesterday. Just a single embie put in for me, I also hadn’t heard of the % in tack thing (nor did they tell me what mine was). My otd is next Saturday 9dp5dt, although I’ve only once lasted without testing early 😂 How about you? Hope you’re feeling ok today? Xx

Roobles79 · 22/07/2022 09:46

@Agapanthus13 and @Rosemary121 ah wow that's lovely to have some transfer twins! How are you both feeling?

I am feeling quite tired today, after all the stress and meds I was quite anxious, I feel some relief that it's done and now there's not much I can do about it. I am meant to be working today, should have taken it as leave but I wfh so can take it easy a bit, hopefully. What meds are you on? I've got progesterone 3 x pessaries daily and progynova x 4 daily x

Rosemary121 · 22/07/2022 11:25

@Roobles79 Good to hear that you've got a few nice days away planned, hopefully it'll help take your mind off things and let you de-stress! This was my first transfer, I had a freeze all cycle back in February so feeling very relieved that its all done. Just a waiting game now! I'm feeling exhausted today too, not that I feel like I did very much yesterday, I think it's just the build up of it all and like you say the meds too. I'm also wfh and it is my last day before I have two weeks off so I'm taking things a bit easy. I'm on exactly the same meds and dosage as you! Some of my family know that we are having IVF but they don't know then when and the how! I'd rather not have the pressure of other people knowing exactly what is going on or having to share the disappointment with them if things don't work out.

@Agapanthus13 How are you feeling today? Have you shared anything with your family/friends?
