Anybody having FET July or August?

Just waiting for my next cycle to start after a freeze all cycle. It should've been here last week but seems to be delayed so I feel like it's just a ticking clock. This will be my first FET, first ever transfer actually.

Anybody else in the same boat and want to keep me company?

No problem @Rosemary121 good you’re doing ok in the run up? The waiting is the worse part I find. From my first cycle I got 2 embryos but unfortunately one didn’t survive the thaw. My second round ended with 6embryos and have 3 left atm. How about you?

@Rtmhwales my dates just an estimate. I find it depends what kind of cycle you’re doing as to how easy it is to guess. When I did a medicated FET (I think that’s what you’re doing?) it took me 8days from my baseline scan to have a thick enough lining for transfer. Generally more than 7mm is needed and the 3visible layers is what’s required. Everyone responds differently to the meds though. I was scanned every 2days and they increased my meds each time. It’s a bummer not being able to plan! X

regarding the endometrium tests, we’ve decided to do it next time if this transfer doesn’t work. You basically have to imitate a cycle so you do a fully medicated cycle and then they take a sample but you don’t get to do an actual transfer - I just didn’t want to delay my actual transfer that much. We’re just deciding whether to do the imuno testing this month or not. It’s tough as I just want to get on with transfers and hope that one will finally work!!

@florafoxtrot well done on the transfer today, hope you’re taking it easy and enjoying the feeling of having emby on board x

@ParkerH1 hope youre doing ok! What is it with the pessaries you’re finding hard? My dr said they basically cause pms - i find they make me really sleepy and give me migraines. Water helps, but they do such. If it’s the leakage then Some clinic give us the option to take the pessaries either rectally or viginaly & I know most say they stay in better up there back passage (oh the things we chat about!!) Hope it improves for you x

ParkerH1 · 12/07/2022 18:40

@Agapanthus13 yeah it's the leakage feel like I'm doing wrong but know im not it's just a pain but worth doing if it get results we want. I'm getting restless now and want to test lol im holding out till bloods though.

@Rtmhwales yeah they say it can take upto 10days for the lining to be good enough you should know from first scan theu will give you a better idea so you can plan.

Rosemary121 · 13/07/2022 19:57

@Agapanthus13 Not doing too badly thank you, very sleepy and headachy but doing OK otherwise so far. Scan tomorrow to see if the lining is thick enough with the transfer provisionally booked for next week. The waiting is definitely the worst part, after waiting for referrals, tests and not getting to do a fresh transfer due to high risk of OHSS it feels a bit surreal that we're at this stage finally. I have 3 embryos from the first cycle that were of good enough quality although the third was borderline so not holing much hope for that one. The one to be transferred next week is a 5BB and I was told it was hatching so I think that's a good sign just hope it thaws OK!

ParkerH1 · 14/07/2022 19:45

Wishing everyone the best trust me its a great transfer I got to watch mine last week. I had bloods today and came back positive I'm so happy 😊

Hows everyone feeling?

thislittlebird · 14/07/2022 20:30

Can I join? My FET is Sunday. It’s our second, the first failed. Is anyone else going around the same time?

Rtmhwales · 15/07/2022 04:51

@ParkerH1 Oh wow!! Congratulations! How does it feel?!

@ParkerH1 Congratulations! You must feel elated, hope all goes well for you now.

@thislittlebird my transfer is on Thursday so just a little bit behind you. Fingers crossed this time around, at least you will know what to expect I guess for this transfer? How have you found this one compared to last time? I had my lining scan yesterday which measured 9.4 so ready to go with my first ever transfer.

thislittlebird · 15/07/2022 09:27

@Rosemary121 Thursday isn’t far behind, are you doing medicated?

yeah I’m definitely way more chilled about it than I was last time. The process was easy for me, I know some women find transfers harder but that last one was a walk in the park. The hard part was the two weeks after and the negative test. I kinda knew it hadn’t worked though. I’m doing a natural modified FET so we had to wait for my body to decide to ovulate last time, and it didn’t ovulate until day 21/22, which was stressful 🫠. This time I ovulated on day 14 with a 7.7mm lining a few days before that, so all much more timely this month.

WildSheep · 15/07/2022 12:34

Hi everyone do you mind if I join? I have my first ever transfer on Tuesday 19th (in the heatwave!). This was our only embryo to make it to day 5 from 3 cycles of treatment, so is our first and last shot. I went for my lining scan last week and it's measuring about 7.5mm - was hoping for better but could be a lot worse I suppose! Am a bit new to this (although long term lurker) so trying to catch up with all your journeys

Agapanthus13 · 15/07/2022 18:41

@ParkerH1 thats wonderful new 💕 hope you’re getting on ok?

@Rosemary121 how did you get on with your lining scan? Not long til transfer day for you now, did you say next Thursday? x

i had my lining scan yesterday (7.7mm) and took my trigger shot in the afternoon. My transfer is booked for next Thursday.

@WildSheep welcome to the group! I’m so sorry to you’ve had such a tough journey, thats really brutal. Have all 3 cycles been with the same clinic? Are you having a fresh or frozen transfer. We’ll keep everything crossed from you for Tuesday, at least to clinic should have Ac (trying to look at the positives for you!!)

@thislittlebird thats so exciting you’re transferring on Sunday! Hope you’ve got a nice chilled day tomorrow to treat yourself?

ChristmasJumpers · 16/07/2022 09:19

@florafoxtrot how are you getting on after your transfer? I had mine on Tuesday so only a day behind. I've been desperate to test so started today and got a BFN. I know it's early so keeping my hopes up 🤞

thislittlebird · 16/07/2022 11:15

@Agapanthus13 We're lining twins, that's a new one one me lol. I think I'm going to do some house stuff today. Took Monday and Tuesday off so I can chill, also because it's going to be stupidly hot. Thursday will fly round!

Rosemary121 · 16/07/2022 19:55

@thislittlebird Yes medicated so started progesterone today. Glad to hear things seem to be panning out better timing-wise for you. All ready for the transfer tomorrow? How long were you there for last time? They haven’t given me a time for mine and have no idea how long I’ll need to plan to be there for yet! Are you planning on doing much with your time off or just taking things easy?

@WildSheep Welcome! Sorry to hear about the tough time you’ve had so far, good luck to you with your first transfer on Tuesday, fingers crossed this one is the lucky one for you!

@Agapanthus13 The lining scan went well, its at 9.4 and everything else is looking as it should so all ready to go on Thursday. Started pessaries today so just counting down the days now! A bit excited and anxious at the same time, trying not to hold out too much hope but at the same time its the closest we've ever been to anything working.

@ChristmasJumpers Congrats on the transfer! How are you feeling? It is still early days yet – keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Katerina79 · 16/07/2022 20:34

Hiya peeps .. I had my frozen egg transfer yesterday -light stomach cramps today but all good 🤞🤞

florafoxtrot · 16/07/2022 20:49

I’m doing ok actually! Somehow managing to distract myself. I’m weird in that I have no inclination whatsoever to test! The actual idea of it makes me feel shaky.
I will be 7dp5dt tomorrow so I expect the crazy might start to kick in soon! 🤪

thislittlebird · 17/07/2022 12:16

@Rosemary121 probably about half hour all on. It’s uncomfortable but not painful, and for me at least it’s fairly quick. 10 minutes on the bed with the ultrasound and uncomfortable full bladder. Don’t be afraid to ask for a smaller speculum if you need one, I did and it helped a lot.

Transfer now done! I think they used our 3AA, which survived the thaw and was 75% in tact and expanding. Fingers crossed for attempt two 😬

Not planning much. Will aim to do some reading in the shade I think, and crack the paddling pool out lol. Too hot not to!

thislittlebird · 17/07/2022 12:17

@florafoxtrot I really hate and am scared of testing. Years of infertility have traumatised me, I’ll be waiting for OTD!

florafoxtrot · 17/07/2022 12:25

Argh @thislittlebird! Someone else that feels the same! xx

ChristmasJumpers · 17/07/2022 16:16

@floraflorafoxtrot I think waiting is definitely best, I just couldn't 😂

Today at 5dpt we got a really faint line on FRER. I'm cautiously optimistic but enjoying the only positive test I've ever had 🥰

ParkerH1 · 17/07/2022 18:09

Hi Everyone

Sorry been hectic in work, and just managed to catch up on the messages on here so many transfers :) wishing everyone the best.

Thankyou for all your congratulations, its still sinking in after 10 years of wanting this, I think I'm now nervous until week 12. I didn't test and waited for my blood work to show result and I'm glad I did, I've told siblings and parents but not telling anyone now until 12weeks..

Transfer was same for me fullish bladder and only took 5minutes I was really lucky I got to watch it being transferred and also got a photo of it.

ParkerH1 · 17/07/2022 18:13

@Rtmhwales thankyou, I don't feel any different from day after transfer so feel nauseous every now and again but I was told that could be side affect from FET. I think I am more nervous now making sure I don't do anything now it's more real I'm more scared to get through the hurdle till 12 weeks. My early scan is booked in in just under 3 weeks which will give me a better idea on how things are going. How are you doing?

WildSheep · 18/07/2022 15:37

@Agapanthus13 thank you. I'm doing a frozen transfer. All 3 cycles have been with the same NHS clinic as we did PGD in order to not pass on a genetic condition. Currently trying to work out how to get to the clinic tomorrow in the heat so I don't arrive too hot and bothered - can't help but feeling it's not the best day for a transfer but there we are! Now panicking it won't survive the thaw!

@ChristmasJumpers Congratulations on seeing that second line!

Have stocked up on a few FRER's. I'm thinking I may test on Sunday which will be Day 5, but if I don't have a strong urge I'll try and wait until Day 7pt. I'm not sure if I'll want to burst my little 'hope bubble'

Agapanthus13 · 18/07/2022 17:13

@WildSheep don’t stress, it’s extremely uncommon, I was told 95%+ survive the thaw so I’m sure you’ll be great, this little embie of yours is clearly a determined one. Have you worked out how you’ll get there? I was in London today, the commute in was fine (very few people and the AC was working on the train). Walking round London was admittedly hot, but I stayed in the shade which was ok. Wishing you all the best for tomorrow. Drinks lots of water and take care of yourself lovely, will be thinking of you xx

Agapanthus13 · 18/07/2022 17:21

@ChristmasJumpers must be so exciting to see that faint line, totally get the cautionary approach but really happy for you 🙌

@Rosemary121 that’s such a beautiful lining, good on you!! Hope the pessaries are going ok? I started mine yesterday, I’m also started blood thinner jabs yesterday which were less pleasant. Oh the things we put ourselves through!!

@thislittlebird congrats on your transfer yesterday, great to have a lining twin 😂 I’ve transfer on thicker and thinner linings before so hoping this one is my magic number 🤞🏻 Hope you’ve found the heat bearable today xx

Rtmhwales · 18/07/2022 18:56

@ParkerH1 and @ChristmasJumpers so so happy for the both of you! I know statistically only like 60% of embryos implant for FET so my neurotic mind is like if these random women got their positives I'll be the negative to equal it out which is neither rational nor positive Grin

I had my uterine lining ultrasound today and we are good to go. Just waiting for a date from the clinic and then work backward to start progesterone. So nice to finally have some progress. It's such a waiting game! I'm pre ordering FRERs because I know I won't make it to the blood test anyway.
