Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

@mooneagle ive had low levels before so it’s really pissed me off they’re pushing back.

I don’t know if it can absorb one time and not another, it’s all so confusing and unpredictable. A test would put my mind at ease, but it’ll be too late soon. It’s day 3 after transfer now.

@PMAmostofthetime @Rosemary121 Thank you, still nothing yet, got a sore throat, bloated and super tired. With my 1st cycle it took 7days of shots, going on 10 days tomorrow with this cycle. How are you both feeling?

@thislittlebird my clinic doesn't do progesterone bloods either, nor hcg bloods. Bit odd for a fertility clinic I thought since paying an arm and a kidney for treatment! What protocol are you on?Good luck 🤞

Has anyone been told you don't need steroids? My doc says it doesn't do much however they have it available though 🙄 🤷🏼‍♀️

@mooneagle my clinic doesn't test progesterone. Even after AF came before OTD last time.

@NaomiNatNat hope it arrived soon for you I remember this wait too well.

@thislittlebird thats annoying. I had really good levels last time and rubbish this time. The science isn’t 100% apparently so maybe don’t worry too much!

Can I ask if there's any particular reason why you avoided lucozade sport @thislittlebird?

Also to continue with the progesterone theme I asked my clinic if they will test my levels on transfer day as I always spot for days before AF and they said no! They were very dismissive which I find strange as studies have shown the benefits of supplementing with progesterone!

@Bookbug92 ok now I’m so surprised that most of the experiences on here are saying no need for progesterone levels to be monitored!

wondering what kind of treatment everyone is getting? I’m on prognova 8mg and then 3x lutigest pressaries and now doing 1x lubion injection daily.

@Bookbug92 just because I don’t really like it and couldn’t face guzzling it. I also don’t need extra weight/calories right now lmao. I did some Googling for an alternative and coconut water was the one.

so they aren’t giving you progesterone or testing it????

@NaomiNatNat I did short protocol previously and this is my second embryo transfer from that cycle, doing a natural modified FET. Mine is the same! It’s so annoying and I don’t understand why they’re all so anti bloods! Ridiculous imo that they won’t test the progesterone of someone who has has had low progesterone.

wrt steroids, I think there’s mixed evidence on their effectiveness. Some clinics seem to prescribe them more than others.

@PMAmostofthetime OTD is 28th July for me. Dreading it.

Treatment wise I’m just on progesterone (Cyclogest), because natural modified. I had a call with the consultant after my failed transfer to explain I needed the progesterone and couldn’t just do natural.

Hi @Agapanthus13 I'm 2dp5dt, had long protocol this time and got one on board and 2 in the freezer :).
There are a few of us in 2ww or near transfer.
I'm sure they will all update you.

@thislittlebird 🤣 lucozade's incredibly sweet! I bought some coconut water this afternoon but I've never had it before - I'm probably the only person who hasn't tried it yet!

I've got some cyclogest for later on but after reading lots of people's experiences I'd like them to test my levels on transfer day, but it was basically a point blank no!

@Bookbug92 I've been on Cyclogest since Egg retrieval they haven't tested my levels I'm NHS atm not sure if that makes a difference.

Hi @Agapanthus13 welcome to the group fingers crossed for tomorrow!! I would of been the same day as you but we are doing FET.
We will hear tomorrow how our embryos are getting on our EC was Friday morning so today is day 5 I'm hoping no news is good news 🤞🤞

Hope everyone is doing ok and keeping well, OHSS is slowly starting to calm down still got a swollen belly but haven't felt as sick today thankfully hoping when AF comes everything will get much better

Aww congrats on the transfer @PMAmostofthetime And awesome you have 2 in the freezer 😭 guessing you went straight into this egg collection after the last transfer we did together? Mines a FET tomorrow, I had one last month too but bfn. Hope you’re feeling ok and managing to cope with the urge to test / not test xx

@Tonim86 thank you lovely x it’s not til 3pm so I think it’s going to be a long day of that ‘waiting’ feeling. Yes, generally no news is good news! You could always call the clinic and ask for an update tomorrow? Are you doing a freeze all due to Ohss? Hope you’re feeling ok, totally sucks on top of the ivf xxx

@Agapanthus13 yes one month off for AF then did this cycle. It has been a roller coaster collected 20 eggs! 18 fertilised then day 3 we still had 10 very good ones- then Day 5 they called and we only had 1 blast! I was grateful after last cycle but so disappointed to have no Frosties after an Amazon start. My ET wasn't until 3pm either so I WFH I. The morning to distract me. When we got there another 2 had caught up and were B/B grade so are in the freezer :)

@Tonim86 glad it's settling down for you. Hopefully AF will show for you so you can recover ready for your FET x

@Agapanthus13 after last time when AF showed up before OTD and I tested and it was BFN bit I still had hope because the clinic kept telling me to do time with meds I'm not putting myself through that again unless AF shows again.

@Agapanthus13 no we are FET as we are doing PGT we had a successful round of ivf in 2018 which resulted in my daughter but sadly she has a rare life limiting genetic disease (unrelated to ivf) this round I think they pushed me more on the ovaleap to get more bigger mature eggs but I think too much maybe but hopefully it will be all worth it in a few months time 🤞

@Agapanthus13 Good luck for transfer today! I've just had the call to say to go in at 1.40pm for my transfer, fingers crossed they thaw OK!

Had some good news today that we have got 6 frozen blastocysts that have had a biopsy. The line was really poor so couldn't hear all the details or get the ratings but happy with the outcome regardless.

Trying to be calm and not test early also!!

@Rosemary121 ahh how did you get on with your transfer? We’re transfer twins 🙌 When’s your otd? Mines the 30th but if negative I continue and test again on 1st x

@Rosemary121 I'm feeling a bit relieved today as AF showed up 😁 few days late on buserilin. How is the 2ww going for you? Tempted to test yet lol I was going insane from 1dp5dt and tested everyday 😅 wait how many meds are you on? I was only on cyclogest after ET

@Agapanthus13 My transfer went well thank you, they said the embryo was 95% intact but I didn't manage to get a video because the screen broke! They did give me a picture of the embryo and of it going in so that's nice to have. How did it go for you? My OTD is the 4th of August so quite a bit later than you! Pretty sure I'll cave and test early though, I'm so impatient!

@NaomiNatNat Ah glad AF finally showed and you can get on with things! I've told myself I'll wait till a week at least 😂I'm on 3 Cyclogest a day, estrogen 4 times a day and I also have thyroid meds because they found that I had an underactive thyroid, as well as folic acid. It's hard work keeping track!
