Hiya

Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

@PositiveAnnie our testing took nearly 3 weeks seemed like a life time to get the results. Fortunately our round is NHS and we live here so luckily never needed to travel anywhere. I hope next week comes around quickly for us both 🥰

Eurgh!! This decision is killing me!!!
If we transfer without testing they won’t roll our testing over to another round so we lose that (it was free for us on this round as a Mother’s Day offer! 😝)

OH wants to do an embryo banking round to see if we could get a back up and/or possible future sibling in the freezer - that would obviously be dream come true but I feel sick at the expense!! My parents are helping us but the guilt over how much we’re spending is killing me!!! I feel like we should just take our chance with our one and if it’s meant to be then great 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey guys little update from be I had more bleeding last Tuesday a gush of red blood I thought I'd wet myself.

Just got back from my scan - all ok. Just needed an ultrasound today as they could very clearly see everything and the little heartbeat. So relieved but still cautious.

Scan at clinic now next Tuesday and then transfer to GP and await 12 week scan :)

The EPU were so lovely today. My clinic were quite dismissive tbh they were like well it's not an ectopic as you had an internal Sunday. So you'll just have to wait and see- called EPU and they reword to reassure me, booked in the scan and we're lovely again Today x

@PMAmostofthetime ohmygod you must’ve been terrified bless you ❤️❤️ My MC happened after the tiniest of bleeds and I just knew it was over. I’m so so glad all is still good 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Take it easy and try not to get too stressed with it all xxxxxx

we’ve decided to do another round of stims. 😵‍💫
I’m taking a months break but using it to test the nest with an endometrial biopsy so currently taking oestrogen and booked for scans etc
Stims start again on my next cycle 😐 I’ve lost the excitement about it all completely now - I just feel stuck in this crappy and expensive limbo 😩
I feel so so guilty about the money we’re spending - it’s killing me!!! But we’ve decided better to spend a bit more and give it the best chance than to give up now. If this doesn’t work god knows what we’ll do - we’ve spent too much already! 😵‍💫

@Kelb79 I think you have made the right decision especially if you would like more than one- if your next transfer works you would be looking at at least 19 months before you could have another round of stims.

@PMAmostofthetime I'm glad everything is ok I bet you was worried but always call and get checked if you feel you need too that's what they are there for and it's important, so bad for them to be funny with you especially after you have been through so much already!

I had my call with the nurse yesterday to run through what happens next. I did think I was going to start meds during my 2nd AF which is due any day now but apparently it's the 3rd AF which seems like ages away another whole month. She told me all the process and I've forgotten half of what she said now 🙈 our clinic have now said my partner needs to come to egg transfer which is fine but apparently there was an incident with consent so they really on top with all the consent stuff now we have more consent films to fill out before and more bloods for me, yay lol xx

I had my review with the Dr yesterday and now considering Natural modified ivf. Has anyone done this?

Can't wait for my scan on Tuesday now so that I can be transferred to maternity services.

Tiredness is unreal- it's worse than when I had Covid.

I've not done naturally modified IVF but some on other threads I have been on have and it's really improved egg quality- they get lower numbers but better eggs.

I think if we ever need another round I'd try this as even though I had 20 eggs retrieved only 3 made it and it was touch and go x

Update from me- viability scan all went well- bin 8+6 today and babies measuring 8+5 which they are happy with and a strong little heart beat- little wriggler already.

Found the cause of my bleeds I have a fibroid that's currently bigger than the baby!
They said it's nothing to worry about but if my blood group is rhesus negative I'll need anti D injections from 12 weeks as it will continue to break away and bleed.
I only need to go to EPU if it's painful or bright red.

Still don't believe I'm pregnant 🤰 🙈 x

@PMAmostofthetime aww that's great news I'm so glad the scan went well it's so surreal seeing them on the screen and knowing all is going well. Won't be long now till your 12 week scan, you had any symptoms yet?

@Tonim86 I have night sickness just stopped throwing up sorry TMI!

Also really tired and boobs are.
huge I'm usually very small and so so sore I've had to ditch normal bras for wireless sports bras. One friend actually commented on the weeks and I shrugged it off and said awww wonderbra is I took it off you would wonder where they'd gone. So bought it.

Just glad everything is ok though.

Have my telephone midwife booking in appointment tomorrow afternoon.

@PMAmostofthetime all sounds like it's getting very real and progressing nicely. Hope all goes well with the midwife booking goes ok.

Sadly I'm in the childrens hospital with my daughter since sat so all things ivf hasn't really crossed my mind but I do need to go and do my bloods and sign the consent. I have a few weeks to sort it out before I need to call them before my next period. There blood test times are difficult as they closed when my oh finishes work so I need to wait really until she's better and home.

I’ve been lurking but trying to destress during the month off! Staring stims again in a couple of weeks though so not long!!

I'm cautiously optimistic 9+1 weeks pregnant.
Getting night nausea and sickness and have had 3 scans due to 2 bleeds but thankfully baby is ok and got some good scan pictures on Tuesday and they traced baby's heartbeat which was 148bpm the nurse said it's always double ours at this stage.

Had my midwife booking in appointment today over the phone as it was cancelled yesterday so just waiting for my 12 week scan date now. Still haven't told anyone too scared that something will go wrong at any point.

Has anyones IVF journey really affected your relationship with your partner??
OH and I are having a really bad time right now. The added element of his Dad dying has made him completely retreat - he won’t talk to me at all about it and he’s left me dealing with the IVF stuff completely on my own. We’re so distant, bickering all the time and having really horrible arguements, I feel like we just don’t know each other right now. We’ve always been so strong, been able to talk about everything but this is killing us 😞

I think it's normal I've seen it a lot on threads. We were the same before we had a break between cycles and did some things together, night away in a hotel food and shopping. Mid week Lunch dates. It really helped IVF takes its toll on both of you and I think the hormones make us more sensitive and more needy.

We have made sure we do some of these now I'm pregnant as I'm really moody and sometimes he just irritates me in the house so we try to go out for food- to the movies etc.

It has really helped us it took a while though IVF is exhausting x

@PMAmostofthetime I’m having the same symptoms you did. 9 weeks now and massive gush of blood (sorry tmi). EPU can’t see me till tomorrow and saying I have to rest up and monitor. If things get worse go to emergency department. I’ve had one miscarriage before so pretty freaked out. And I’m further along :(

Not sure what to do hope it’s not over before it’s begun!

@mooneagle I went to A&E and gynae seen me and then EPU seen me from there.
Thank fully I've had no further bleeding since. I'm 10 weeks today and 3 scans showed healthy little wriggly with a heart beat. After the gush of blood I had som brown discharge and it started slowly tapering off. With the gush of blood I had to wait 5 days to be rescanned as I'd been scanned on the Sunday due to a bleed and then the gush came on the Tuesday.
I know how awful you feel right now- the lovely nurse on the phone told me that if there's no tissue and no pain that's a good sign and that helped me through- she also reassured me that bleeding up to 12 weeks is common and that's why some people don't realise they are pregnant as they believe they are having periods.

How everything goes well for you.
P.S I'm currently awake as I have Nausea 🤢 had it since 2am.

@PMAmostofthetime baby still there but there’s area of bleeding still. I’ve put myself on bed rest. Midwife said she couldn’t give me reassurance one way or another as I’m still at risk. It’s literally wait and see.

Next scan in 2 weeks time. Feel like my previous miscarriage has taken all the joy out of pregnancy and I’m full of worry all the time! Just hoping it sticks.

are you on progesterone? Midwife suggested to stay on it till 16 weeks.

how you getting on?

@mooneagle at my 2nd scan there was an area of bleeding at the 3rd it had gone but they could clearly see the fibroid.

Hope everything turns out well for you. I stopped carrying anything heavy stopped stretching up and and basically still don't do anything strenuous x
