Hiya

Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

@Tonim86 Next week will be here in no time, I've got the same thoughts about twins, some end up with triplets using 2 😳 Good luck with the transfer 💜💚

@PositiveAnnie The remainder of mine are like ~10mm today so not counting on those tbh. My Doc said they grow 1mm/day but some say 2mm 🤷🏼‍♀️ Good luck with EC 💙💝

@NaomiNatNat mine were 9mm yesterday morning so I’ve kind of written them one’s off Thank you very much

steeled myself for todays update - expected either good or bad news… but have essentially got none!!
They couldn’t biopsy the embryo today and need to wait until tomorrow to see if it reaches blastocyst stage 🤷🏼‍♀️
I don’t even know what to think 😵‍💫😵‍💫

My test today was negative so waiting to hear back on next steps but they predicted January for starting next cycle. Hoping that’s at least EC time as it seems so long away to start.

Are you NHS funded @Toon92 it definitely does seem to far away but 6 months does fly by, have they said any reason it will be 6 months?

@Kelb79 have you got a transfer day agreed? No news is good news I was told today by my clinic after my EC

@PositiveAnnie yes I’m nhs funded, They haven’t said yet but I’m just sat waiting for a call back after their meeting.

I wonder if it’s something NHS do so you’re body recovers etc from this one, finger’s crossed you will know more when they call back of next steps x

@Toon92 Sorry to hear that- give yourself some time and plan something nice it really helped me on my failed transfer.

I'm NHS I had one transfer March one in July. There was no appointments or anything for 4 weeks then it all started happening again.

@PMAmostofthetime egg collection went well thank you, we were told if you do not hear from us today that is good news and they will call tomorrow so finger’s crossed so far so good

@Bellwells i had EC today and I had never been sedated before so I was nervous of this but after worrying there was no need too, after we were done we went and ate then travelled home and pain etc is ok. So my advice is try to relax and embrace the journey xx

@PMAmostofthetime Though I've done this before I'm still bit nervous about tomorrow. don't like the whole anaesthetics thing, it's like I disappear from earth for a bit and then reappear 😬

@Bellwells take snacks and water to drink after I took Cereal bars, mini cheddars and water and lucozade sport. Eating and drinking lots after stops you feeling nauseous and they like you to wee before you leave.
Down load the kindle app on your phone and a book or take a puzzle book or magazine to distract you.
My first EC I was waiting 3 hours then 2nd an hour.

If you take a vest too you can wear it under your gown and dressing gown so your not completely naked aside from a bra. The room was hot the 2nd time which is taken a mini fan and froze some of my water for after EC.

I'm the biggest baby ever and I've done it twice and I'd do it again. I slept through both of mine.

Had my EC this morning and they drained a cyst as well to my surprise! Now patiently waiting for tomorrow's update. Got only 3 eggs though xx

Update my end, the embryologist called this morning with bad news, one of my eggs fertilised but it stopped developing due to the sperm under microscope today not being a good sperm.

i feel so upset and frustrated and let down as that was the purpose in ICSI to remove abnormal sperm

@PositiveAnnie and @NaomiNatNat keep those hopes up!! This journey is hell!!! I’m praying everything works out for you both 🙏🏼❤️

Our “one” made it to day 6 blastocyst!!! I can’t even believe it! They’ve biopsied it and tucked it up in the freezer to edit for the PGT-A results 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Literally praying!!!
Its only a 5BC but I’ll take that, it’s all I’ve got and it’s still possible ❤️❤️
I know the grading means nothing if you’re PGT-A testing too so just gotta stay hopeful 😁
now to somehow get through the next 20ish days!!!

@Kelb79 I'm currently6 weeks pregnant with a 3BA so that's a better grade than my little sweet pea on board.

@PositiveAnnie you must be so upset today. Have you had a chance to ask more questions I found this helped when none of mine made it to blast on day 5 in the first round.

Today's update, out of my 3 eggs 2 fertilised and 1 was just a shell. Sadly 1 of the fertilised ones wasn't good and the other hasn't developed much. So they will give it until tomorrow. Not putting my hopes up 💔

@NaomiNatNat slow developers are sometimes girls 🤞🏼 for good news for you x

@NaomiNatNat i feel you ❤️ I only had 1 out of 5 fertilise (2 immature, not sure why the others didn’t) and I felt so despondent every step of the way. But my one made it to day 6 blast, if we weren’t doing PGT-A it would have been transferred.
maybe all the hormones and energy got sucked up by one egg - that one hit all the good shit and so the others didn’t make it 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
who knows! But have faith still lovely - it only takes one ❤️
I thought of mine as a championship hurdler 😝 each hurdle passed is a win!!!

I’ve contacted the clinic to obtain the report from the lab. I’m struggling to get my head around why a poor sperm was used for ICSI as that was the purpose in having the treatment, as if that is the case there was no hope in this cycle

the lady who I am liaising with is lovely and I feel really bad but I can’t get the embryologist word’s out of my head
