Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

Morning @PMAmostofthetime I was just having a catch-up read- if you haven’t already why don’t you call your nurses team and explain what you’ve experienced. I’d even be tempted to call the emergency number so you get through to someone. When I bled after my previous positive I remember you & the girls telling me to do the same and they were so so helpful. They asked me a lot of question about the colour and type so that they could advise what to do. Hopefully it’s absolutely nothing, but worth a call to check it out as you have such a beautifully dark positive line xx hope you’re doing ok x

@Eggling sorry to read you’ve had a negative this morning. It’s so devastating as we put so much hope and energy into each transfer. Do take care of yourself. And great that you’ve got a frostier waiting for when you’re ready xxxx

@Eggling I'm so sorry to hear this 😢 when is your OTD? How does it work about the next FET can you go straight again or will you have to wait a couple of months?

@PMAmostofthetime I'm ok thank you just in this limbo phrase of waiting for genetic results not much I can do, we have got a wedding and common wealth games tickets this weekend so that should keep us very busy.

Thanks both, I don't know next steps to be honest. OTD is Monday so there would have been a line on a FRER. I imagine they will want two bleeds but I don't have cycles naturally so will have to induce the second bleed anyway which renders it pointless in my mind. We have a holiday booked early September so I'm mindful of timings with that. I need to speak to the clinic tbh but will have to wait for Monday. Trying to get on with things but I just keep crying so hopefully I'll get that out of my system and can distract myself a bit!

@Eggling I'm so sorry 😞 it's such a tough process. Clinic will make you continue with progesterone and test again Monday.

I honestly mean this when I say I'm thinking of you at this crap time. You will feel better in around 2 weeks when the meds are all out of your system and be able to think more clearly about what next.
I had my break through bleed last time one more then the second they took over.
I found it good to commentate my lost Embie and bought a flower for the garden. It helped me grieve as it is a grief. Me and OH went out to get it- he knew what it was for- but none of us mentioned it- I bought 2 as 2 were put in.

@MammyandAva welcome, I know one person that had IUI with PCOS and it worked first time. It was around 16 years ago now.

If you google IUI statistics and IVF statistics it will tell you them for your clinic of the hfea website.

I'm guessing your not ovulating? Have you been on anything else before this to force ovulation? There are some IUI threads on here who may be able to give you lots of info and then we can help with the IVF.

@Agapanthus13 I rang and they told me to test- the lines are darker this morning so they told me to try and not worry and up my water and protein intake as the pain may be delayed OHSS and the discharge could be old implantation as I have a pinhole cervix so it takes longer to leave.
I will test again tomorrow and Monday.
Just to keep my anxiety at bay.

@PMAmostofthetime so glad to hear you called them and they were able to give you some insight into what’s going on xx what are your next steps after otd? X

@MammyandAva i was also diagnosed with PCOS. I was originally just out on clomid with ovitrelle trigger injection. After doing that 4x they moved me onto IVF due to no success

They didn’t recommend me the IUI as stats between that and the controlled clomid / injections weren’t that different.

In my case I’m a lot older than you so egg quality probably not that good AND my partner’s sperm is borderline in terms of mobility and morphology. Hence why they thought IUI wouldn’t be appropriate.

@PMAmostofthetime they say usually around 2-4 weeks but I think if I remember rightly the testing is done there as that's where we wait for blood results for my DD. She did say I think they aim more for the 2 week side of it but I suppose depends on staff etc.

So happy to hear you still have a strong long I did get similar old blood last time which freaked me out but all was fine. I think I tested every day until I saw a 3 wk+ on clear blue I've still got all the tests now in a box 😂🙈

@Eggling sorry it didn’t work out this time. Allow yourself to grieve and take care of yourself lots, stay healthy you’ve still got the next cycle.

@PMAmostofthetime its so hard not to panic but whatever you do just keep going with meds etc. Until you actually get a proper HCG blood test /scan that tells you otherwise. Light bleeding in pregnancy isn’t always a sign of miscarriage. Also after my last miscarriage I continued to test positive for weeks on the sticks. The only way to tell at this early stage if it’s failed is 2 x HCG bloods 24 -48hrs apart and compare the levels. After 6 weeks you can then see on the scan.

Thank you so much for reminding me I feel more relaxed again now. I will test again Monday call Clinic and then a Scan in 3 weeks time.
We have a small staycation booked for in between so that should take my mind off things. When things didn't work last time that's the only thing that lifted my mood so it was pre-arranged - and having some time off work will help too. Then when we get back we should have the scan. And just incase it doesn't go to plan I'm going to plan something for the week after even if it's just a day trip.

@mooneagle Thanks- my clinic doesn't routinely do bloods but I may ask if I can pay for them as they do NHS and Private.

@PMAmostofthetime that sounds like you’ve got some lovely times planned to keep you busy. You’re so organised!! Perhaps I should have a think of things to do. My scan will be in 2-2.5weeks time so doesn’t feel so far away. We’ve then got 2weeks off for a uk holiday with family.
im feeling fine thanks. Still no symptoms but my line is nice and dark now so I’m trying not to worry. Xx

It's made to think by working out Due dates on the ivf calculator I am already 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Insane.

Hi, tests have shows that I don't ovulate. And although I have caught pregnant naturally twice (by accident) I haven't actually ever tried for a baby.

This time around I will be using a donor

Thought I'd update. Ended up testing last night because the stress was killing me and DH so we decided to just get it over and done with! Still can't quite believe it's positive. First time I've seen a positive test in nearly 3 years. Feeling very lucky and trying not to be too anxious about what the next months will bring!

@PMAmostofthetime thank you 😊 I think we had our transfers on the same day! I had 2 put in because they were a bit slow developing and was told the chances were looking a bit lower! The dark line did make me think...😬 trying just to picture one baby in my head though so that I'm not disappointed if I get to scan day and only see one! X

Oh wow congratulations @truetotal when do you have your scan? How many days post transfer are you?

@Agapanthus13 thank you! I'm 12dpt today I'm not sure exactly when my scan will be yet. Need to phone the clinic on Monday but I think they do it at about 7 weeks! So hopefully everything goes smoothly and I make it to that hurdle! 🤞🏻

@truetotal I had mine the 18th 12dp5dt today so please you got a BFP! Those chances meant nothing yay!
I need to call Monday too we are classed as 4+ 3 weeks today so scan should be in around 2.5- 3 weeks eeek.

Let's hope we get that far :) x

@kelb79 sorry for the slow reply but thanks! We're having a freeze all cycle as they were worried I had OHSS as I had 35 follicles, although at EC lots of them were just fluid filled so I got 9 eggs in total.

And @PMAmostofthetime I think you are some sort of fertility guru - you were right with your stats! I got my day 3 update today, out of 8 fertilised two didn't develop anymore, one has developed but looks "scruffy" and three are looking very good 🥰

@Bookbug92 Yay for the 3- Ha I wish lol could help us all out. I just ask way to many questions and read lots of research when I can't sleep 🤣 x

o that’s good you have eggs looking good, when will you get a call, would it be Monday for day 5?

i think on my scan on Thursday I had around 5 follicles prior to starting taxoxifen so will see what and how thing’s are growing then

Day 5 on Monday @PositiveAnnie so fingers crossed there will be some for the freezer! Though that sounds like such a strange thing to say typing it out 😂

TMI but I've just been to the loo and I have some red/pinky loss on wiping - a bit strange as my bleeding stopped the same day as the EC and that was only on Weds
