Shiny new thread as we filled up the last one.

@ginandtonicformeplease yeah I rang them yesterday, they just said to keep an eye on it. I’ve been drinking water and a bottle of lucozade. I just can’t stomach food which probably isn’t helping. How did you cope with OHSS?

@Suki2020 try yogurt or protein shakes - it's super important to get protein down x

@SamTTC interesting! I hope you won't be seeing AF for some time! I was absolutely dying to test last night! Insanity. Today is only 5dp5dt. I keep reminding myself of the good advice on this thread from people who testes early and regretted it. I've never been much of a tester. Unless AF was a few days late I never used to test. The TWW is definitely starting to get to me.

@Somatronic I found a really useful statistic for why testing early is a bad idea:

10 dpo : 35%
11 dpo : 51%
12 dpo : 62%
13 dpo : 68%
14 dpo : 74%
15 dpo : 80%
16 dpo : 88%
17 dpo : 92%
18 dpo : 99%

TBF it is from dr. google, but I still keep it in mind! (10dpo would be 5dp5dt.)
So far my tww is fine, it's usually the second week that's worse. But I think it gets easier for every time I do it.

the % is for what percent of women can test accurately on that day! sorry, important context :)

The tww is so difficult isn’t it! I’m on day 7 today and have had my husband hide all the tests. I’m supposed to wait until next Sunday to test but if positive that would make me 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant so think I’ll test on wed which will be 10dp5dt and hopefully 1 month pregnant 😬

Do you think these stats are for standard pregnancy tests or the early response ones?

@Suki2020 I had the same problem with food - I forced myself to eat crackers. My clinic wanted me to go in for a scan, but I lived a long way and just couldn't have managed the travel: they said that if it got worse go to hospital. I had a freeze all cycle due to the risk of OHSS so no progesterone or anything. It took a couple of weeks for me to start feeling normal again.

@ginandtonicformeplease my OHSS started after ET. I had ET Easter Monday and then OHSS started on Friday morning.

@Suki2020 oh no it sounds like you’re getting worse. Give your clinic a call tomorrow and they may suggest you get an abdominal scan so they can check your organs and a blood test to see how your liver and kidneys are doing. But if you’re worried lovely I’d go to A&E and they can do your bloods and keep you there if you need to be monitored. I hope it isn’t causing you too much stress x

Had the transfer today and had two 5 day blastocysts transferred. They recommended 2 due to my age. It was ok and not too painful. Now the wait begins! How are you feeling after your positive result? Any symptoms?

@Yoga817 yay this is great news! When is your test date?
I’ve been ok thanks so far. Super tired but that didn’t happen straight away for me and my sense of smell is really hyped up. I’ve been feeling pretty nauseous too. I’m not really sure what are pregnancy and what is progesterone to be honest

@Yoga817 congrats on being PUPO! and with 2! Your test date is the same as mine but I transferred 4 days ago haha, my clinic is clearly wanting to drag out the days for me!

@Suki2020 sorry to hear you have OHSS, hope you start feeling better soon but definitely go to hospital if you feel worse!

@Steph2345 my digestive system is not enjoying the estrogen at all but it’s all worth putting up with for the outcome. Keeping calm for now, will see if that is still the same as we get closer to transfer.

Ohhh, how come they're having you test later? Will you do a home test before? I'm sooo nervous about testing. I will be doing this 🫣..

@Yoga817 I've really no idea, it will be 15 days past transfer which is ridiculous. I suppose it will give a definite result, and maybe they don't want people getting positive then having chemical. I will be testing early however, possible Saturday. I've actually already tested out my trigger 🙈 I now just need to hold off til the end of the week 🤞

@SamTTC @Herewegoagain881 The teacher in me loves researching, but I guess in this whole ivf ttc world that things don't always follow an exact pattern. Thanks for your support, after finding that study about HCG and hb I was convinced that I was out, but like you said, there is a whole range of HCG numbers and just because you have a high hug doesn't mean things are growing faster than what is normal. I need to focus more on the weeks.

I should get my HCG from Saturday back today or tomorrow and just praying it's still rising appropriately. I also decided to wait until Thursday for the scan so i we didn't see much progress that I wouldn't be second guessing.

@AliceAbsolum Having to wait for a scan after a bleed seems so cruel, but I know that these embryo's need time to grow. I pray that we both go into our scans and they find a perfectly sized embryo with a strong hb.
After my bleed and clot, I was 95% sure we were out, but my bleeding stopped too after a few hours and I'm just hoping, wishing, and praying that everything is ok.

@TommieNC Hoping and praying for you too. Hurry up Thursday. At least we will 100 percent know either way.

I just want to know, if there is no heartbeat I want to get on with it so I can stop the limbo and feeling so sick and tired.

But. Even if it is good news, that doesn't mean it's fine overall, just back to where I was. I'll be 7+1 so still incredibly early days. There is no short cut.
I've lost the head game now though. Cramps and slightly redder spotting last night. Every time I need the loo or pessary I dread it, really hypervigillant to any ache or pain.
And sorry I'm ranting, but it's not good news overall. If I can't get pregnant naturally and can't stay pregnant through ivf (seriously what are the chances of 2 miscarriages in a row with 21 year old donor eggs) then the chance of a take home baby is incredibly slim.
Trying to keep it in the day but failing spectacularly

Just spoke to the EPU and they said its NICE guidance to wait a week between scans and even if they did scan today and see a heartbeat then they would still want to follow up in another 3-5 days, so, thats ok, I'll go with that. It's nice not to have to make a medical decision myself without any solid facts and just Google to go on.

How are we all doing? Sending good vibes to all of us waiting for to start meds, EC/ET/OTD/Scans x
