@Justawannabemam that is impressive that you have been managing to go to the gym. Good luck for your Friday scan.

@Bluehawaii29 and @Millymillymillymillymilly I have terrible gas as well.

I have to go into work 2 days a week and this week I'm putting it off to Thursday and Friday. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope as I feel pretty grim and have no energy. I have to go to Manchester next week for work which is a 2 hour train journey and 1 hour tube journey and I'm really dreading it

Millymillymillymillymilly · 22/03/2022 09:09

@Overlyanxious Long journeys are the worst! Hope all goes well. I’m working from home today and I’m soooooo happy :) It does make a difference.

Millymillymillymillymilly · 22/03/2022 09:11

I’m also doing Lubion x 2 plus Arovi x1 - the Arovi is the worst! The needle is pretty thick and blunt and it’s sooooo hard to inject. 😫

XjustagirlX · 22/03/2022 09:24

It’s a negative for me. I kinda knew that already before doing the test. This was my first FET and it was really traumatic so I’m being sedated next time.

I have booked a call with the consultant for Thursday snd I’m hoping I can start my next FET straight away.

Overlyanxious · 22/03/2022 09:36

@XjustagirlX I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your consultant call goes well and you can get onto your next fet asap

Daisychain93x · 22/03/2022 09:54

@XjustagirlX So sorry to hear your test is negative. It’s so tough. I’m glad you have managed to book in a call with your consultant this week.

Gigi89x · 22/03/2022 11:57

@XjustagirlX im so sorry to hear your test was negative. I also had a negative, i hope your appointment goes well with your consultant.
Are you doing another frozen or fresh next time?

Gigi89x · 22/03/2022 11:59

@XjustagirlX sorry i just saw you said your doing another FET. Im hoping to do mine next month but my nurse said yesterday, they usually want us to have a normal bleed after the withdrawal bleed and then start on the period after that 😟

XjustagirlX · 22/03/2022 12:21

@Gigi89x i don’t understand that withdrawal bleed stuff. For a FET I ovulated naturally and then I was just taking progesterone so my next bleed is an actual bleed. I’m hoping my consultant lets me go straight away as my FET is natural anyway as I don’t respond to estrogen. After my two cancelled estrogen cycles she let me go straight away.

Ye I have done 1 egg collection but I started to develop ohss so had to freeze all. This was my first FET and luckily I have 8 more embryos in the freezer.

XjustagirlX · 22/03/2022 12:24

@Gigi89x do you need a follow up appt with your consultant. You could ask them to try again straight away. Annoyingly by the time you get to speak to the consultant your period has already started so you end up having to wait anyway. I’ve just pushed for a call in 2 days so it lines up nicely with my period.

Gigi89x · 22/03/2022 12:28

@XjustagirlX your lucky you managed to
Speak to someone so quickly. My consultant apptmt was a 2 week wait after my BFN.
I was hoping for something sooner but the admin team said they didn't have anything 🙄

Bryterlayter1 · 22/03/2022 12:46

@xjustagirlx I'm so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed you can do your next FET straight away.

Millymillymillymillymilly · 22/03/2022 17:25

@XjustagirlX sorry to hear this! Hope you get to do your FET as soon as possible!

Gigi89x · 22/03/2022 18:55

I recently told someone i work with that my ivf failed & i got told by the person that there was only a 25% success rate with IVF....i didn't know that this was the case and didn't think you could give every person the same success rate due to age and varying factors. I don't even believe iv been told a number by my own consultant. Is this something thats common knowledge that I'm missing 😕

LuckyNovember · 22/03/2022 19:21

I guess that's an average @Gigi89x my doc told me when I started (mfi, no known fertility problems on my side save for my age which was 39 at the time) that my chance per cycle was around 20%... I believe it's up to around 50% per cycle for a 25 year old in my place... I prefer to think of each egg as yes/no, 50/50 😉

Bluebonnet3 · 22/03/2022 23:00

@LuckyNovember were you asking about who's on stims? I am. This morning was my day 6 (of stims) scan. They are estimating Wed next week for EC. Are you this Fri? You must be triggering soon! I'm doing a freeze all (3rd out of 3 for embryo batching), what about you?

XjustagirlX · 23/03/2022 07:23

I read that for my age under 35 that it is 60% chance of implanting with a 40% chance of having a baby. So I’m gutted it didn’t implant. I genuinely thought it would implant but then I would miscarry again.

How long does a period take to arrive after stopping progesterone. I have taken progesterone 3 times before and it took 2-3 days but that was a lower dose.

Gigi89x · 23/03/2022 09:16

@LuckyNovember i prefer to think of a 50/50 too, i didn't appreciate someone telling me what my % was without knowing my situation tbh

@XjustagirlX i read that too after transfer under 35 is 60%! Makes me hopeful for the future. I was most worried about not getting any fertilised eggs due to MFI. But we did and have some frozen so for me I'm massively grateful to have even got embryos.

Gigi89x · 23/03/2022 09:23

@XjustagirlX i was on Lubion x 1 a day & 2 x cyclogest pessaries. AF starting spotting 3 days before the end of my Tww and when i stopped taking it got heavier.

LuckyNovember · 23/03/2022 09:37

@Bluebonnet3 brilliant! I just had my last scan this morning, EC will be Friday morning... all going well I'll be at transfer when you're at EC 🤞🏻 I'm very tempted by this banking, but it was never discussed as an option for me so we're going straight for a fresh transfer again... maybe next time though, I like the efficiency of it 😎

I find my doc a bit conservative on the trigger, I think it could wait another day but she doesn't like to risk the lead one... so im back to willing the little ones to catch up before Friday!! She told me they'll still grow after the trigger, has that been the experience on here?

@XjustagirlX mine started 5 days after stopped utrogestan... seems like forever, but for me at least it was more or less a normal AF and I'd been fearing a monster 😬

IVFGotThis05 · 23/03/2022 09:59

@XjustagirlX My af came two days after negative test and after I stopped medication. It turned up lot quicker after FET than it did after fresh, I don't know if that is common.

I've come for a little whinge.

Also keep in mind that I am a bit of a push over and kinda just go with the flow... I have had 1 failed fresh and 1 failed FET now, I have one embryo left in the freezer and they still aren't going to change a thing on my next FET. How many of you had stuff offered to you from consultant or did you push yourself ? I know we all have different infertility issues but mine are that I have irregular periods (which is why I have medicated cycles) and a little male infertility problem (but have had 6 fertilised eggs so doing okay there too)

Why aren't they looking into anything ? I rang the nurse yesterday and she just said because I have only had 1 failed FET they wouldn't change anything on my next one!? Maybe it's because I get another 2 fresh cycles so they think I have time ? I don't know. I wish I could say all of this to them but I always feel rushed on the phone.

@IVFGotThis05 that sounds so frustrating. Could you put all your concerns in an email for them so then you have a chance to raise it all with them. If you feel like something isn't right I would always be pushy. Could you suggest some changes e.g embryo glue and see what they say?

IVFGotThis05 · 23/03/2022 15:08

@Overlyanxious We don't have an email for them, we always just have to call! Yeah I think I will ring and ask actually, it is something I want to try so I'm going to have to. I just find it so frustrating as everytime I ring it just goes to voicemail and when they call back I feel like I'm pestering them.

I had the same doubts after my first cycle @IVFGotThis05 and normally I'm quite assertive, but I really struggle to find the space to ask questions at my consultations because she doesn't volunteer much and I just don't really know what's going on most of the time 😬

In the end we do exactly the same protocol, with a slightly slower but more or less the same response (hopefully a better outcome still 😉) but I did ask today if there were other things we could try in my next cycle that might suit me better, and she was very open to this. Feels like an accomplishment!!

When I tried to shop around for a new clinic after the first cycle failed, I was just so defeated by the stress of having to start things all over again that I just couldn't be bothered!
