Hope you won’t mind me jumping on but I’m due to start IVF in just over 2 weeks and wonder if anyone is on a similar protocol? Interested to know about side effects.

Cycle Day 2/3 to 5/6
AM: Dexamethasone 2mg (throughout)
PM: Gonal F 250iu injection (for 3 days)

Cycle Day 5/6 onwards
Replace Gonal F with Pergoveris 200iu
Commence daily Fyremadel injection 250 µg

Trigger to be determined closer to EC which I think is pretty normal.

Hope everyone is well 💛

Jennie154 · 09/03/2022 07:05

@Gigi89x as in had one cycle with Gonal f and another cycle with Menopur

Gigi89x · 09/03/2022 09:27

@Jennie154 i have used Menopur and ovaleap together on this cycle.

‘ Yes it could be progesterone dermatitis. I think you should go and see your GP to consider anti-histamine/topical steroids +/- dermatology referral.

I am reluctant to stop the lubion at this stage, but if you have to you should use the cyclogest TDS. However it may be the progesterone levels causing the rash rather than preparation.’

Reply from the consultant. Look like I have to speak to my GP now, I don’t think changing any preparation would help

Hey all, hope you don’t mind me jumping in.

I had a FET on the 4th March. Currently 5dp 5dt. I was naughty and tested late yesterday (I know!) and got a faint line. Was worried it was me imagining the line but this morning I tested again and the line looks definitely clearer I think. What do you guys think?

My husband told me to not test everyday but I just can’t! I even want to test again later hahaha (I spent so much money on tests already!!!)

How do/did you all keep sane during the 2WW wait? I so want this period to end, line get darker and get to scan asap 🤣

@Millymillymillymillymilly that's looking good -especially as it is still early. I hate testing but I know lots of people find comfort in testing daily. I struggled to get through the tww - I googled too much - but I did find messaging on this group helped. I also find playing games on the phone helps as I have to concentrate so can't think about anything else. Wishing you luck the test lines keep getting darker.

@Bluehawaii29 oh that's such a pain. How is it feeling today?

@TheHopefulEgg welcome Smile

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 10:12

@Overlyanxious it’s still burning in some places and feel like I want to itch it but trying to stop myself! Managed to get GP appt for this morning somehow
@Millymillymillymillymilly wow so good you got something now. I had my FET same day as you but too scared to test. Are you having any symptoms?

Millymillymillymillymilly · 09/03/2022 10:29

@Overlyanxious - I literally wanted to start testing 1 day post transfer. I’m such an impatient person, it’s soooo bad. Especially I took Friday and Monday off and stayed at home the entire time so I was driving myself up the wall! Currently back at work so it helps but I still think about it ALL THE TIME. The 2WW is definitely the hardest! Are you still in your 2WW? If so, when are you due to test?

@Bluehawaii29 - I wasn’t feeling quite right. I had a failed fresh transfer previously and this time I was tired from D3 (asleep pretty much the whole day), back pains, stuffy nose and a bit nauseous so I thought why not test. Also, because our embryo after thawing actually started to hatch before my transfer so I guess it implanted a bit quicker as it was already coming out of its shell? Have you had any symptoms? I would suggest if you can hold off testing then do so because it does cause soooo much stress. Good luck to you!!!

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 10:42

@Millymillymillymillymilly yeah I been feeling off as well but it’s hard to tell if pregnancy or the hormones in my body. Felt crampy for a couple of days but that is better today and still got tender breasts but the rash has worried me the most and been going on since day 3 post transfer. I also had a failed fresh cycle and this is my first FET and was double transfer so no idea what’s going on in there at the moment but would rather not know yet as going back to work on thurs/ Fri and can’t face testing every day. Have booked day off for my OTD which is next Friday so I guess I’ll have to wait until then unless I get something really obvious happen that makes me more confident to test early!

Overlyanxious · 09/03/2022 10:43

@Millymillymillymillymilly oh that's good you have work to distract you. I'm luckily out of the tww with my bfp. Now onto the wait for my scan. It's never ending waiting.

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 11:06

@IVFGotThis05 hi was it your test date today? I hope you are ok xx

Millymillymillymillymilly · 09/03/2022 11:08

@Bluehawaii29 My OTD is Friday too! We really do have the same timeline (and it’s my first FET too). I hope you get your BFP. I know I’m not out of the woods yet as there’s still so many unpredictable factors but this is the furthest we ever got and I’m thankful for it! The only thing we can do is keep going!

@Overlyanxious Congrats!!!! You getting your scan soon? I agree, IVF is a never ending waiting game and until the buns come out of the oven we just gotta play the game. All the best to you!

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 11:10

@Millymillymillymillymilly let’s hope 4th March was a lucky day for FET 🤞🤞

EasterBunny7 · 09/03/2022 11:57

@Bluehawaii29

@IVFGotThis05 posted on the old thread.... and it wasn't good news Sad I left a message for her to join us on this thread but perhaps she's not in the mood right now

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 12:32

@EasterBunny7 that’s really sad :( I messaged just now, thanks x

EasterBunny7 · 09/03/2022 13:36

Found this quite indicative. What goes on in there after embryo transfer?

IVF/FET FEB MARCH No 4 2022
EasterBunny7 · 09/03/2022 13:37

*interesting! Not indicative

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 14:09

@EasterBunny7 yes I think I’ve seen this before. It’s a good guide. I’m on day 5, wishful thinking that implantation may be complete but impossible to know without a test (which I’m not going to do anyway so it’s a dead end situation lol)

NaomiNatNat · 09/03/2022 14:20

@IVFGotThis05 I'm sorry to hear your news, big hugs, that was me on first attempt 😓

Has anyone experienced lower back pain and fever right after ivf? I've had it ever since OTD and was prescribed antibiotics as the doc thought it was a kidney infection but the antibiotics hasn't worked a week later and I'm still in pain with fever day and night

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 14:34

@NaomiNatNat Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. I get some low back pain now and then since transfer but not as bad as when I pulled my back muscle a few weeks ago. Fever I have never had after treatment. Have you done all the covid checks? We’re you on any steroid medication that needed weaning off gradually? maybe get some blood checks for thyroid etc? It can sometimes play havoc with that

NaomiNatNat · 09/03/2022 14:59

@Bluehawaii29 negative covid test. I've been on ciprofloxacin but that's it. Going in for a check up now, it's ridiculous every few hours I get a fever!

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 15:26

@NaomiNatNat sounds awful, definitely get some blood tests done to check it out xx

NaomiNatNat · 09/03/2022 15:56

@Bluehawaii29 just done another urine test and there is no indication of infection. The Doc says it might be pelvic related so will need to do some blood tests this week and been given another set of antibiotics for now xx

Overlyanxious · 09/03/2022 16:19

@NaomiNatNat I hope you feel better soon

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 16:21

@NaomiNatNat hopefully nothing serious but glad you are on the antibiotics and hopefully will recover soon xx
